mademoiselle I cannot believe your sil would do that when she knows you're ttc. If she absolutely must tell her dbro at 4 weeks (and 4 WEEKS! The only people who knew at 4 weeks were dh and my best friend...we didn't tell anyone else, even parents, until our scan at 11 weeks.) then therecare discreter and less hurtful ways than skyping with the rest of the family in attendance.

english I had the same experience with a Dutch GP during my first mc at 5+4. My GP was not available so I saw locum who told me to go home and take a hpt in a week. With my second mc at 6+1I'd already registered with mw (who I knew from having ds) who gave the same advice, but when I still had positive pg tests a week later called my in, did a scan which confirmed mc, then referred me the same day to gynocology dept in hospital. Ended up under their care for 3 months because my hcg initially kept rising though eventually went down (but took 3 months and theywwouldn't let me ttc again till it was 0 Sad ).

Mw have said to let them know asap next time I get pg and they will do an early scan. They were so much more sympathetic than the gp I saw who didn't seem to know what to do while I sat blubbing in their room!

Treaclepie19 · 15/04/2014 17:43

Very pretty Poly :)
Haha, how are you feeling?

PolytheneGirl · 15/04/2014 17:46

Thanks Treacle I'm sick and tired and nervous and stressed but I couldn't be happier about it Easter Grin

victoria401 · 15/04/2014 17:50

retro my day 3 came back with FSH 6 and LH 9 when I know they are meant to be 1:1 ratio. Doc said they would not be worried unless the LH was double the FSH. I'm still worried though!

Treaclepie19 · 15/04/2014 17:54

Hehe aww :) I'm so glad. Keep wearing that dragon egg :)
(First time I wrote that it said dragon wig!!!)

RetroHippy · 15/04/2014 18:01

Victoria, mine were the same but 10.something. So I'm choosing to ignore that as GP said it was perfectly normal trying not to be paranoid about turning 30 and having shrivelly ovaries

poly, never mind the necklace, nice baps!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 15/04/2014 18:15

Love your dragon egg poly Easter Smile

also love the easter smilies!!!

victoria401 · 15/04/2014 18:16

I've now turned 34, definately worried about my shriveled ovaries!

gennibugs · 15/04/2014 18:27

my DH veers from being really enthusiastic and serious (normally when I've just got af and feeling upset) but as the month goes on appears to show much less interest. I think he just doesn't vocalise as much as me and is far more pragmatic.

I might ask for day 3 then as well -thank you for explaining Retro.

poly so nice to hear from you!

sure I've forgotten something else I was going to say!

gennibugs · 15/04/2014 18:32

Victoria I'm 33 and worry about shrivelled ovaries.
when I bring it up DH aways reminds me of all his female colleagues who had their babies in their 40s and tells me I'm being melodramatic!

Treaclepie19 · 15/04/2014 18:40

I hope I'm pregnant or these mood swings are not good. Betting it's just pms as I've had cramping today. GRR :(

fancyacupoftea · 15/04/2014 18:53

Evening everyone! Had a lovely day walking around Hampstead Heath, then got a headache on the way back and felt sick and of course in my head I was screaming to myself "Feeling sick? SYMPTOM!" when it was just because I was a bit dizzy.

All these tests that you're on about - how long do you have to be trying for before they do them?

MrsExtraOrdinary · 15/04/2014 19:15

Well I'm more worried about dhs shrivelled libido! We haven't dtd since day 14, day after smily and computer dh said no! It gave me the rage and I've eaten like a pig ever since. Today I have eaten, one Easter egg, 2 hot cross buns & some revolting shit from KFC. I just need to eat one green leaf, build a cocoon and emerge as a butterfly! Grin

5 a day I've managed a side of baked beans. Oh deary me ! I don't even like junk food.

You silly lot I'm going to buy you all Zimmer frames if you think you've had it at 34! Anyway 34 is a good age don't you know!!! Wink Wink

Poly will check your cleavage pendant out later as I can't see on my phone Grin

xBlueberry88x · 15/04/2014 19:34

Im only 25 does that make you all feel old lol

fancy I had to wait until a year of trying not sure if its the same every where but they said to take a year is pretty normal but over they can start looking into things

poly hard to see the pendant just boobs lol

Treaclepie19 · 15/04/2014 19:36

Hehe blueberry, I'm 23, 24 next month!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 15/04/2014 19:42

23 treacle!!!! I'm old enough to be your mother not really I'm not that old Grin

lindamagoo · 15/04/2014 19:48

Oh god treacle I am old enough to be your mother, lol. And girls don't worry about your shrivelled up ovaries, I had ds1 at 38 and ds2 at 40 Smile

EnglishGirlAbroad · 15/04/2014 19:49

I'm rapidly approaching 30, 2 months time!! Not that bothered by my age, just that everyone around me is pregnant and younger than me! That in its self makes me feel old! And that I should've started earlier.

Doctors wont start investigating until a year. Feels like a long time but in the grand scheme on things i guess they can't just offer everyone fertility testing after a few months, would cost the nhs a fortune.

RetroHippy · 15/04/2014 19:53

fancyacup, I'd been off the pill 6 months when I went and was referred may have omitted that we'd used conforms for three of those six

My reasoning was that my cycles hadn't settled down, and we're irregular as a teen, so I wanted to rule out pcos before we plugged away for a year and I wasn't even ovulating. My GP referred me no question.

Cycles still haven't settled (on track for a 38 dayer this month) but at least I know I'm ovulating and have a reasonable stash of eggs.

RetroHippy · 15/04/2014 19:54

Haha, condoms!

Treaclepie19 · 15/04/2014 19:56

Haha Mrs and linda, pick on blueberry too!!! :p

RetroHippy · 15/04/2014 19:59

English, I'm not bothered about it either. I'm in a really good place in my life so I'm quite happy to have reached the landmark age.

I'm just pissed of with every other person on fb procreating all over the place! By and large, my 'mum' friends are lovely, but there's this attitude of 'just you wait till you have kids, then you'll see,' that drives me bonkers. I'd love to be driven mildly insane by the sleepless nights and nipple chafeage.

Hear that Oh Great Penis Dragon? Bring it on!!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 15/04/2014 20:02

I hoped Linda would be lurking! Lol Grin that's really made me laugh in the bath. Dh thinks I'm even more odd! Grin

lindamagoo · 15/04/2014 20:04

Just tell the gp you've been trying for over a year to get the tests done quicker, that's what I did when I was younger and how I found out about my cysts and hormone problems.

lindamagoo · 15/04/2014 20:10

Lol MrsE, I'm always lurking. Dear god you girls can talk some, had to read back loads Smile
