We did think of buying this house. Would have ripped out the walls and made it open plan. It's right on the beach, but just a shingle garden. It's the garden I miss, despite being near the sea which is lovely. We have sea views from the balcony currently. Parking is also not good here.

I have birth to ds here. So it does have some find memories. Just time to move on.

Treaclepie19 · 17/04/2014 16:35

Thanks everyone for your congratulations :) I feel loved haha :)

Hope you're all going to be joining me.

It still doesn't feel real and still waiting for af to arrive :p
I so hope my line gets darker tomorrow.

I will do my stats tomorrow if that's ok as I'm still unsure it's real!

Tilly28 · 17/04/2014 16:56

Waves at MademoiselleG I'm here until the end! Bfp not due until 29th April! :-) This 2ww thing is taking a long time...even keeping ourselves busy with fostering and family coming down isn't keeping me occupied at the moment.

CallingAllEngels · 17/04/2014 18:06

I was too weak to resist the hpts that arrived today...and just got a very faint line Grin

Keeping my fx that I'm not just seeing things!

Treaclepie19 · 17/04/2014 18:09

PolytheneGirl · 17/04/2014 18:23

Sorry to all those AF got! Thanks

gennibugs · 17/04/2014 19:26

p

Treaclepie19 · 17/04/2014 19:31

Haha Poly, that's gonna be me!
Already planning using two tests tomorrow...

CallingAllEngels · 17/04/2014 19:32

I'm trying not to get too excited (had mc at 6w+1 in October) but am pretty sure I will be poas for the next 5 mornings and then buy some more hpts Grin

PolytheneGirl · 17/04/2014 19:42

I am wondering if I should pop out tomorrow and get some more HPTs. We are a PIL's for the Easter weekend though so I prob won't poas there. May try to cut down to once a week! I've gone crazy

Treaclepie19 · 17/04/2014 19:43

Hehe we shall all be poas daily!

DH is being a sweetie. I've got stomach pain and a pain in my hip down to my leg. He's wrapped me in a quilt on the sofa and is waiting on me hand and foot :p

MrsExtraOrdinary · 17/04/2014 19:55

Well I've got the rage already! Poor dh a bank holiday with a maniac bitch from hell! Angry I don't feel even slightly pg. I guess I'm 7dpo today. When do we count ov? The day you get your first smily, with the strongest lines.

So poly exactly how many pee sticks before you convince yourself enough to go to the gp? ignore me! Wink

Retro, I knew you were a kindred sprit of sewing! What do you make? Are you a quilter? Smile

PolytheneGirl · 17/04/2014 20:01

Yes MotherE I'll be booking myself in with the GP for a week on Tuesday when DS is back at nursery school! I have a frer box in my bedroom stuffed with about 7 +ive HPT and 3 OPKs. Might need a couple more!

PolytheneGirl · 17/04/2014 20:08

I've just been on and done the online booking for my GP. I couldn't get an appointment till 1st May Shock wish I'd done it earlier now!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 17/04/2014 20:11

Ahhh you see, who says nagging doesn't work! 1st may!!! Shock Jolly glad I nagged! Wink

RetroHippy · 17/04/2014 20:24

I am indeed MrsE, just dabbling eyes the huge spare room cupboard crammed with stuff but I'm hoping that having the huge loft space in the new house will let me do a bit more. Currently it's mostly adjusting/altering stuff for myself and the odd alteration for friends of friends and secretly sewing a stash of prefold nappies

I did a window seat cover a couple of weeks ago that has seen me swear off piping and upholstery fabric forever!

I take it you are a quilter then? I'm not sure I'm precise enough for quilting but I could get quite obsessive about fat quarters Grin

Treaclepie19 · 17/04/2014 20:26

Haha well done Poly :)

MrsE, I wouldn't have had a clue I was pregnant this month... I also have been moody as anything. Expected af, DH actually said at one point "do you need Bridget Jones' Diary and a Dairy Milk???" Haha.

MrsExtraOrdinary · 17/04/2014 20:42

Treacle your dh is a love Envy. Mine is talented in other areas but tlc he's had to learn the hard way Wink

Retro no I'm not a quilter, but I know a few. Well the truth is I went to art college many moons ago, I was going to be a fashion designer to begin with Lol!! Met h1 and got up duffed! Blush Deferred my university place for a year to have a gorgeous , now very grown up son. A year came, so did a mortgage and it wasn't possible. Truth is as much as it was a little disappointing, I didn't mind. Ds was my world. So a couple of years later desperate for a job I walked into a very pooooesh interior design shop, claiming I could sew, with a child on each hip! Blush Which I could I had a very good grounding in pattern cutting. When I got divorced I needed a way to generate lots more income, so I launched a web business, like Harry potter from the cupboard under the stairs in my mini house. So I guess I'm an interior designer/bespoke curtain maker/company director/arse kicker of dhs and my other company/mummykins as ds1 likes to call me I had a shop for 4 years but closed at the end of the lease last year as id been so poorly. Now just online again and have a local customer base, I'm busier than ever. So all those fiddly hand headed curtains, I do those, you know in mansions. I do a lot of nurserys and children's rooms too. But I didn't mention that before as I was worried you might all think I was looking for business. I promise I'm not, I'm absolutely swamped! Grin

MrsExtraOrdinary · 17/04/2014 20:43

Retro I also hate piping and get my lovely ladies who work for me to do that much better than me

EnglishGirlAbroad · 17/04/2014 20:45

Congrats Calling!! Lovely news!! Grin

I would advise you all stop peeing on everything in sight, and revel in the fact that today you are pregnant. Its not going to disappear overnight. And will only make you neurotic. If the mc has taught me anything its that peeing on sticks everyday will not change natures path. Enjoy being pregnant. Get a digi and then leave well alone Smile

RetroHippy · 17/04/2014 21:03

Funny MrsE, I met someone from Scotland who did that a few years back. She had a little shop too. No kids though, so not you!

I'd love to start a business sewing, I'm hoping in the coming summer holidays to start making custom baby stuff (slings, nappy bags etc) and then use various mum contacts to try and get a few orders. Just don't have the time or the space to really make a go of anything yet.

My mum said I never make anything more than once, so I tried to prove her wrong by making two identical bags. But only did that once so I guess I proved her right!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 17/04/2014 21:13

Well I would say that makes each item you make unique and thats very sought after.

I only opened the shop because after 2 years of ttc I needed a new challenge. I sought of decided it wasn't going to happen so thought I'd invent a new life . Within 3 months of opening I was pg Grin But I have customers all over the world so I don't really need a shop front. Just a lot of storage and a lovely team of clever ladies. All mums, mostly single mums who have to work, but can from home. They are fab and I couldn't do it without them.

MademoiselleG · 17/04/2014 21:36

English I love that way of seeing things. This shall become my mantra when I am pregnant later this month: “Today, I am pregnant”. (You can tell I’ve been doing a lot of positive visualisation etc!)

Hello fellow late-monther!

Polly, you just make me giggle so much. I can totally picture you with the dragon egg around your neck, peeing on everything that moves. Or lays still actually!

And Calling: eeeek!!! So amazing!! What great news. Today is definitely a GOOD Penis Dragon Day (GPDD).

MrsE and Retro: I am a closet sewer but totally hoping that I'll get time to practise more when next on maternity leave. all fellow thread-ladies chuckling at the unrealistic thought of having time with a newborn...
