Thanks fancy. Well I've not had a drop since Friday when I had rather a lot but that was my supposed ov day anyway. I'll stay clean till next week then Grin

Hope the dreams go away Sad or that they stay and are a SYMPTOM Grin. How many dpo are you?

hanflan · 17/04/2014 12:43

Speaking of alcohol, I am due to ovulate next on or just after my friend's wedding. Will it affect my chances if I drink a lot?! Is it best to stick to 2 or 3 glasses or is that still too much? I have no idea when I should or shouldn't be drinking with all this ttc stuff. (I know it is BEST to stop altogether but who are we kidding?!)

RetroHippy · 17/04/2014 12:49

I know so many people who conceived after a well timed bottle of something that I actually think it's better to be a bit pissed.

hanflan · 17/04/2014 12:52

I think it would certainly help me to relax about the whole thing, and everyone says that helps, right?!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 17/04/2014 13:01

My friend conceive after a very pissed night out. She's been freaking out (after only 3 months!) & not drinking. Got wasted and got pregnant! Another friend got pretty drunk (puking in my bathroom sink after a night out) and found out she was pg the following week. She's happily 26 weeks along. Booze does sometimes help!! Although if you're temping it can give you a high temp the following morning - it does me.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 17/04/2014 13:04

Thanks English Thanks

fancyacupoftea · 17/04/2014 13:28

No idea how many dpo retro as I never got a +ve on the bastardsticks. Going by my app I'm due next Sat so that would make me 5dpo. Or, if I OVd before I started testing at cd11 that make me 11dpo.

Honestly, they were really fucked up. It ended with watching a 2 year old child get killed by a car. Mr Cup of Tea has gone to tesco to get me chocolate to get me out of my funk.

fancyacupoftea · 17/04/2014 13:37

Ahh I see. I am quite obviously pregnant. No other explanation. www.countdowntopregnancy.com/early-pregnancy-symptoms/symptom-chart.php?symptomid=45

RetroHippy · 17/04/2014 13:47

Ooh fancy, I had a dream last night. Not like yours, something to do with one of my close friends but I can't remember exactly what. I'll have to make a special effort to notice tonight (6dpo).

I am also suffering from extreme laziness tiredness. Nothing to do with being ill and on holiday, nope. Definitely a SYMPTOM.

fancyacupoftea · 17/04/2014 13:58

You still feeling ill? Crap that you've had it for so long. Is it getting any better?

I'm still in yesterdays pants so am too feeling lazy and tired. Must be a SYMPTOM too.

victoria401 · 17/04/2014 14:07

Haha! I must be preg too if that's the case! Been sleeping really deeply with lots of odd dreams the last week, including sleeping with a guy at work who is ewwwwwwwww! Lol

RetroHippy · 17/04/2014 14:09

I think I'm feeling a little better. Still sinusy but the sore throat that I had at the weekend isn't quite as agonising. Feel like I'm bouncing from one set of symptoms to another Sad it's been 6 weeks now since I was right. Stupid germs.

Still, the boxes arrived today for house packing, so that's something fun to keep us occupied over the bank holiday! No date yet, but I'm back at work full time after Easter, so will have no time at all then.

fancyacupoftea · 17/04/2014 14:13

But did you enjoy it victoria? Go on, admit it.

MrsExtraOrdinary · 17/04/2014 14:15

Retro how long ago was it you had your offer accepted? Trying to work out time scale. My dads just cashed in his premium bonds to help us, bless him. Just trying to get straight and sorted. Smile

fancyacupoftea · 17/04/2014 14:17

It seems like only last week that you got the offer accepted retro! It was feb bus wasn't it?

kurama · 17/04/2014 14:31

unfortunately ive always had vivid dreams Sad the kind were u wake up and think the things in your dream actually happened..... maybe mine will stop when i get a bfp? lol hope everyones ok today and looking forward to easter Easter Grin

MademoiselleG · 17/04/2014 14:35

Oh Treacle, this is SO exciting. I promised myself I’d stay away from MN for the 2ww so as not to go mad but this is just wonderful news and I’m glad I caved in after 3 hours! Congratulations!!

Re: alcohol: we are going to France for Easter, so it’ll be terribly hard to stay off the wine. But DD was conceived on holiday whilst drinking copious amounts of booze every.single.night (and taking the pill. I mean: WTF??). I actually always joked that the amniotic fluid must have been pure rum for the first 3 weeks of her existence! So I’m with fancy and am going to just enjoy myself! And so should you, hanflan and Retro! Just a wee glass…

English, you’re a star for all the stats, hurray! I do have a feeling that my BFP is due later than 27th April though, as I think I ov’d later than my app suggested, but not sure…

…so let’s pick your brains girls: I got a solid smiley on Tuesday afternoon, forgot to temp yesterday, dtd twice though, dtd yesterday morning and this morning too (I’m telling you, we’re going for the ‘Shagger of the Month’ award!), but today had a temperature dip and (warning, tmi alert!) creamy cm, LOADS of it! (Actually, I was doing something crafty and Easter-related with DD this morning and suddenly started looking at PVA glue in a completely different way………!!) So: do you reckon I ov’d Tuesday 15th, Wedn or today? We didn’t dtd last night but swimmers stay strong for up to 5-7 days in the right conditions, right?

So many of you leaving to the May bus…will there be anyone left to cheer us late-April ladies on?

Right, I'm going back to demolishing Lindt Gold Bunny...

Viewed, made and had the offer accepted between 2 and 3pm on Saturday 15th March!

It's been fast. But we have no upper or lower chain aside from the three of us (we're in the middle) and DH has been on it with the EA, bank and solicitors. Like phoning every day. I've been able to drop off any paperwork at the solicitors in person straight away and we've basically said no thank you to anything but the surveys which are absolutely necessary.

We're hoping to be in on or before Spring bank holiday week, making it just over two months start to finish, but that may still be optimistic. It certainly won't be us holding up proceedings!

Mademoiselle, nothing useful to add other than PVA should totally be a category on FF... creamy, sticky, EW, PVA, what others can we come up with? Oh, and I have based my ov date blindly on putting my cervix height and a bit of ewcm into FF. According to which, we DTD two days before ov. And that's it. So based on the 'relax and see what happens' method, I'm totes preggerz.

MrsExtraOrdinary · 17/04/2014 15:43

Wow retro that's super speedy! Ours will take a while as we are ltd companies so mortgage is a pain in my side already! Also vendors haven't even started looking yet! But that's fine with us. We've waited 3 years in the rented nightmare 4 floors and omg the stairs as long as we are in by September, I'll be a happy bunny.

xBlueberry88x · 17/04/2014 15:48

not really here but still watching

We put an offer in and completed in a month when we bought our house last year not bad aye.

Good luck definately worth it in the end!!

RetroHippy · 17/04/2014 15:55

Haha, MrsE, we're moving into a house with four floors and so, so many stairs!! We can't afford the gym so I've got to get my exercise somewhere Grin

RetroHippy · 17/04/2014 16:03

Right. Three small boxes packed. Time for Wine yet?

MrsExtraOrdinary · 17/04/2014 16:05

Retro that's so funny! Currently my work room is on the ground floor and my office is on the 3rd floor. Customers phone when in sewing and by the time I've got up to the third floor I sound like I'm having a coronary! Grin

RetroHippy · 17/04/2014 16:12

Surely an extension to the phone line would be cheaper than a whole new house Wink?!

My sewing room is going to be in the loft. It's just a hobby, so if anyone rings while I'm up there, they can wait! Even the garden is on two different levels Shock. I'm certain SIL will have plenty to say about how I'm going to struggle being pg with all those steps. The main advantage I can see is that when I'm too big I won't physically fit into the laundry room (downstairs loo) so DH will have to do it all.
