Well, 6 dpo. Counting down!

Moral dilemma... It's my birthday next week. Just after I'd be testing. We, for various reasons, have over the last little while been given a few bottles of fizz. DH suggested we have one on my birthday but absolutely not if I'm pg.

Surely I can have one glass? My reasoning being, that if we weren't ttc I wouldn't even have tested yet. And one small glass is fine anyway right? He's mumbling about fetal alcohol syndrome and seems to think that not one single drop will pass my lips for the entire pregnancy. Huff. I'm so selfish aren't I? Just quite fancied a glass as it's a big birthday and all and there's no way I'll hold out POAS till after my birthday!

Of course, if it's a bfn I'll drink the while bottle with a gin chaser!

And interesting that you got a BFN the day before, I'm pretty useless at understanding the ttc process, but assumed that a bfn was a definite no. I'll stay positive for a bit longer :)

Retro, I know advice has changed recently to absolutely no alcohol. But last pg, 3 yrs ago, my mw told me she had always had the odd glass. I would definitely have one and not feel guilty.

Going back too many 16 years, I was drinking quite a bit before I found out I was pg with ds1. As you do when you're 18 and infallible and not expecting to be pg!

And I know plenty of people who didn't realise they were pg for a few weeks and carried on as normal.

DSIL and I went out for a few drinks got totally pissed just before she found out she was pg and DNiece is perfect. I know she had the odd glass now and again too.

Well, if I can't have it next weekend (potentially) I shall just have to have a bottle this weekend.

Yeah mslad, bfn yest then the faintest of lines today DH wants a "real' line before he gets excited. Basically he wants a digi.

I have cramps and nausea. I know can't be symptoms coz its too early! Had nausea for last 4 days, even woke in the night last night thinking I was gonna hurl! I'm only 8dpo today, maybe even 7.

I'm still cramping, sore boobs, and starting to feel nauseous especially this afternoon (although I had just eaten 4 chocolate eggs)

retro my understanding (but what the fuck do I know) is that alcohol can mess around with implantation but if it implants then it doesn't actually get to the bean until around 6 weeks when it starts to actually receive shit from the mother because it lives off its own cell body or something like that.

I may have made that up.
