So I couldn't find a May thread, so I thought I'd start one for all of us who have dropped off the April thread.

Aunty arrived this morning so I 've just started cycle 4. TTC #2. Just had a long cycle so if this is the same length my most fertile time will be over Easter weekend.

So I might go all pagan and invoke some Spring fertility goddess. Or something. Or piss on some sticks.

Morning I have a question about cbfm. This is our first month using it, so it has no cycle info yet. It wants me to poas every day from day 6 up until the 4th May. Then there are no range squares to tell me to test after that, but according to app on my phone (which has my data from 2 years) I am not ovulating til the 10th May. So I guess my question is, can I test on days where the monitor doesnt want me to test? And is there any point testing this early when I have at least a 36 day cycle and am not due to ovulate til day 22? Thanks! x

Rambini - I don't have the newer cbfm but I would think that if it still hasn't seen a peak day it will then continue to ask for more tests. That's how the older one works. Hope that helps

Morning ladies what a crap night I had last night! Monster children cried the house down all night so I'm a bit like a zombie today Getting my day 21 bloods done this afternoon, hope I don't have to wait long for the results, going by opk and body signs I did ov this cycle but will get checked just to make sure

Rambini... I think I can answer this one. I waited for my first AF after stopping the pill which took 98 days (check that for a long cycle!) and then started using the CBFM straight away. Obvs my cycle is still too long for it to work properly, but it asked for sticks from day 6 until day 2 it got bored of me on day 25. So it asked for 20 consecutive sticks. Which means you'll be fine! Annoying for me as they aren't cheap, and according to OPKs I'm now about to ovulate on day 28. Grr! If I'm on the June bus then I'll try it again next month as the cycles should/seem to be getting shorter so i should catch the egg next month!! Good luck

Chaircat - we just got home from 10 days in Oz! ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. Would move there in a flash. Are you there permanently? And EnglishGirl how exciting to be going home!! Have heard good things about child rearing in Holland tho too! We are meant to be here for a few more years but it's not working out quite as we thought so may be London-bound in the next year... We shall see!! Being preggo in this humidity would not be fun... It's hot season now and 43 degrees let's hope I'm all done by this time next year hey?!

I'm about day cd16 or 17 here. Last month I don't think I ovulated until about day 19. Haven't done an OPK test yet this month. Just going to shag lots. Theoretically. Really haven't felt like it this month, been stressed about work, and a course they've sent me on. And stressed about money. I have had a few moments of wondering why what the hell we are doing, trying for a second child when we are struggling to pay the bills?

Working nights this weekend too so don't know when we'll find the time to dtd, even if I could motivate myself. Looks like I will be on the June bus....

Bleach update - piac - then used a stick (no line). Then put in same amount of bleach and gave it a swirl. Fizzed up with lots of small bubbles filling container. Not like pictures with lots of big bubbles. Hahaha. Had to give it a whirl.

I can just imagine the 'can you see a line' type photos where us crazy ladies have used bleach instead of HPTs...we could call it 'can you see my froth.com'

If you ever go round to someone's house and they have a stupidly clean, bleachy toilet, you've either met an undercover MNer or they are just too obsessive about their loo...I'm going to go with the latter and might even be tempted to roar at them and see if they got the connection tbh I think non- -ladies would just think I had lost the plot if I roared at them, which would be about right...and not too different from my normal self LOL...but I would hope that you guys might catch on and roar back! Oh how I'd giggle if that actually happened!

Loving the idea of the Tree of Life tattoo :). My OH has tribal stuff at the mo and is adding bits onto it it to make him look a bit like Terminator...will look quite cool once it's done, but not quite as pretty as a fertility tree .

Can I ask a question about ic opk's? I'm using them for the first time this month and I naively thought that the line would get progressively darker until it is day before ov day so giving me lots of lead up time to know when ov is coming but then someone mentioned switching to cb ov monitor because it gives lead up time with flashing smilies and ic opk's don't? DH works nights and for half the week we barely see each other so making sure we dtd at the right time is really tricky.

Yeah Dutch the ic's don't get progressively darker, random colours until positive, that's why I switched to clearblue digis this month, much easier to read but also much more expensive

Duchese mine don't get progressively darker, but they def go from no colour to some colour which gives me a heads up that its imminent. Remember once you've got the positive opk its not too late, thats the key day to get dtd.
If you follow smep it recommends dtd every other day until positive opk, then 3 days of dtd, day off and then another. I've followed to the T this so far cycle, just got to dtd sunday now. So fx!!

Only CD9 for me so just waiting for ovulation then going to jump on DP already done it twice this week so going well getting very fed up with the waiting just want a BFP sooo bad.
