I thought I'd start a thread for all those who will be starting out TTC this month, I'd be interested to see how other people get on, tips, moral support etc. We'll be starting TTC at the weekend!!

I know it's disheartening when AF appears :( but ur not too old at all! It'll happen when it wants too. I keep telling myself that.
I ttc for a whole year then gave up and went on the pill as decided to wait. Well I then got pregnant on the pill.. Lol! So I deffo believe it'll happen when it wants to

All u newly pg people, when u have to pee (tmi) is it sudden? Like last night and this morning I don't have to pee but then suddenly I'm desperate! Or maybe it's because I'm drinking so much more :s

I hope not. I am nearly 40 though so don't have long. Still, even if it doesn't happen i have a perfect DD already :)

Ermmmm it can be sudden but it's definitely more regular. I also have insomnia and very painful hips when I lie on my side

And Ducky I can remember having painful hips when I was pregnant, I think that's the worst thing!

Bears, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you too! Just been to visit a close friend from work who's nearly 41 and just given birth to a beautiful baby girl- she'd been trying for years, given up and then fell pregnant when she least expected it. How old is your DD? Hope she cheers you up today

I am all stocked up with FR and CB digital tests... Now I just have to sit tight for at least another week and a half before I can use them. Cupcake, I can feel myself starting to get obsessed with POAS and it's only the first month! It's only gonna go downhill from here...

Thanks all - DD is 2 and an absolute delight. Is it bad that I was looking forward to mat leave so I can spend more time with her?!

Sorry to hear about AF Bears.

I've gone and poas with the first response one - I just couldn't wait and it's a BFN again. I've got a feeling that I'm out now because although it's 3 days before AF due, it says on the packet that it's 98% accurate 3 days before. So frustrated!!!!!

It's just so rubbish that it happens to so many people on a one-off dtd, but when you're trying every couple of days it still doesn't work!

I've had AF like cramps today having a feeling that I could be out :( AF not turned up but cramps are telling me she's about to jump out. I really hope not :/
popple it's awful poas addiction! Lol! I still want to test today just to see but I don't have tests in the house atm n that's the only thing that's stopping me!
lillamyy it's not fair is it, ttc is an emotional journey but we'll get there eventually

Lil I only got my BFP with first response a day before AF and it was very very faint so don't give up yet :-) before that I kept getting bfn!

Why oh why did I decide to re do all the gloss in my house

I THINK I'm about 9 DPO but not entirely sure as haven't used opk but had ewcm on 15th so think it was around then.

I mean, I am unusually tired and have no signs of pms (I'm usually an absolute monster by this time each month) but really been trying not to build up too much hope just in case.
Am going on hols for 2 weeks without DP the day after AF's due, so if Im not pg I might miss next ov. Aaah!

Ducky - what are you glossing?

All the doors and skirting boards when we moved in the person must have been a heavy smoker cus everything was a horrible yellow and we just glossed over it without thinking but now every few months the yellow comes back through apparently it will always do that now, we should hae cleaned it with vinigar first to get rid of the staining. Doh!

Lillamyy with DS I was 17 DPO before I got a bfp and I got a negative at 14 DPO so don't give up hope!

And Ducky omg we did that! Doors radiators, skirting boards and windows it's awful lol!

It's like toucher!!! And to make things better, one of the dogs has trod in a big blob of paint and climbed all over the black leather chairs by the time I noticed it had dried and now I can't get it off!!!

God, if I have to wait until I'm more than 12 DPO I'll be in Spain when I test!! Won't even be with anyone I know, going on a Spanish/English teacher exchange thing

I hate gloss paint with a passion! I found out that there is something in gloss which makes it always turn yellow over time. So this house I have eggshell paint which doesn't and washes/wipes off things as water based :) sorry completely off the ttc subject but thought it was a useful tip (we are still doing up our new house and renovated one previously - hence why I have a hatred for gloss paint!!)

Lil - hope u get ur bfp before travelling! How long are you going for?

In other news, for some unknown and mad reason I poas last night. I have literally no idea why as it is far far far too early. It was just there and it beckoned me over to it!!

I'm off this afternoon as we buried my grandma's ashes at lunchtime :( too get pregnant this month would almost seem like a blessing from her in some way. I know she would have been overjoyed to have a great grandchild. Fingers crossed she's using her magic powers from up there!!
