I thought I'd start a thread for all those who will be starting out TTC this month, I'd be interested to see how other people get on, tips, moral support etc. We'll be starting TTC at the weekend!!
Please join me!

I know BearsInMotion :) I gave myself hope too hahaa! Testing Saturday :)

Imustbecrazy26 · 23/04/2014 19:35

We can keep each other strong Kitkat whrn we have no clue what our cycles are doing!! Last time we were trying they were all over the shop for about 6 months not been on the pill as long this time so am hoping it won't take as long to get back to a normal cycle!

Popple85 · 23/04/2014 19:45

Please may I join you? I've only just found this thread... started TTC 1 last week with a BFP due around 7th May. Have a 25 day (ish) cycle and am feeling a bit overwhelmed by it all! Congrats to those with BFPs already :)

Bought a Sainbury's own brand digital test test, but have since read lots of negative reviews on it... which ones are generally more reliable, digital or non?

Thanks!

BearsInMotion · 23/04/2014 19:47

Hello popple!

No idea, I thought digis were but I think they are actually less sensitive.

looking4rainbow · 23/04/2014 19:51

Hey Ducky, yes it was bfp 1-2 weeks it said so 3-4. It was £13 for 2. Will use the other next week to see if levels are increasing before making a doctor's appointment! I thought the 2ww felt like forever now I'll have about 8 till scan lol

Ducky23 · 23/04/2014 19:53

Hi Popple! Smile

I swear by first response as I know they are pretty sensitive, I've heard bad things about sainsburys own too but don't know if it was the digi one or not.

Good luck Grin

Ducky23 · 23/04/2014 19:54

32 weeks cupcake! Was everything ok?

Popple85 · 23/04/2014 19:57

Thanks! Think will try first response then. Off to Amazon I go...

looking4rainbow · 23/04/2014 20:00

Welcome Popple! Can't be sure which test is best but for me asda was good at only 10/11 dpo. My digital also was good gave a quick response. I guess it's how long you can hold back before poas. If you can wait till af due or after I would hope would most tests would work digital or not

Cupcake92 · 23/04/2014 20:55

Hi popple!!
:) I've no idea what tests are best I pee on every stick! Lol!

And Ducky yes everything ended up being okay they managed to stop my labour and had to have steroid injections to help mature his lungs. I was then induced at 40 weeks as he wasn't moving much. I was in hospital for a week tho.

alizeeod · 23/04/2014 21:40

Hi popple, sainsburys own are crap, have me a false positive, totally unreliable! I think first response are meant to be the best x

lillamyy1 · 23/04/2014 22:29

HURRAAAH!!! congrats rainbow!!! Thanks

KatoPotato · 23/04/2014 22:34

I'm still due Friday.... I want to POAS!!!

lillamyy1 · 23/04/2014 22:36

I'm testing on Sat as well! Thing is I have no idea when I ovulated but we were dtd every other day from the day my last period finished so presumably there was some sperm waiting in the wings??
This is my first time trying.
I got pregnant accidentally with DP 2 years ago but had an abortion as didn't feel time was right and have regretted it ever since. Thinking about getting pregnant again has just brought it all back and feel very teary this evening Sad

KatoPotato · 23/04/2014 22:42

This is my first trying too, please don't feel too sad about what happened before, sometimes the most responsible thing to do is to make the right decision taking everything into account.

DH and I had a termination about 10 years ago now, and now have a gorgeous 4yo boy so please don't worry about conceiving after a termination. I know it was the right decision at the time and I still stand by that now. Please don't give yourself a hard time! Xxxx

Cupcake92 · 23/04/2014 22:47

Lillamyy I've never been in that situation before but I know sometimes hard decisions have to be made, but they are made for the best of reasons :) u know u are now ready for a child so u can give that baby everything it needs and all the love u can give it! U made the right decision, so don't feel sad about it, feel proud that u waited to be able to give a baby a great life :)
I hope u get ur bfp on Saturday, we'll test together! Fingers crossed for us both :)

KatoPotato · 23/04/2014 22:49

Yes we'll hopefully all test together on Saturday!!

lillamyy1 · 23/04/2014 22:49

Thanks kato and cupcake xx

Cupcake92 · 23/04/2014 22:53

Anyone feeling pretty nervous about Saturday?
I'll be on holiday when I test :s

KatoPotato · 23/04/2014 22:55

I just want to make it through Friday with no AF... I was feeling all kinds of crazy symptoms last week but nothing at all now... In not hopeful

Cupcake92 · 23/04/2014 22:57

I was having creamy cm and today nothing at all :s and my belly has been having weird tugging feeling. It's not cramps tho, I can't explain it :s

lillamyy1 · 23/04/2014 22:59

That sounds promising. The weirdest thing I've got is that by now I should have appalling pms, but I haven't.
Apart from that, no signs really.
Got another first response right here but AF not due until Sunday so at least should wait til sat. It just looks so tempting though!

Cupcake92 · 24/04/2014 06:12

Woo still no AF !! :D

BearsInMotion · 24/04/2014 06:15

AF here, I'm out :(

Cupcake92 · 24/04/2014 06:27

Oh no sorry to hear that Bears :(
Really hope next month is ur month
