Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

After 20 flipping days of stick peeing... I finally got to pee in the toilet like a normal human this morning! Bloody cbfm better have worked this month

Babblehag · 26/04/2014 11:25

He sat in silence all the way home, until he finally broke it to say, so how are you going to manage???

sorry that your dads moving so far away dulcet Sad

Wilhelminand · 26/04/2014 12:09

8 hours is quite far Dulcet, that's a shame. But agree it's good if it's somewhere nice and you get to go and visit!

Think today may be icing day and DP is going out. But to be honest I'm quite relieved!

aylesburyduck · 26/04/2014 15:46

Just wondering.... how many bfps have we had on this thread??

nosy much?

RPopz · 26/04/2014 15:49

Was something's on this one or the last one? Don't think we've had any apart from hers! Hmm

aylesburyduck · 26/04/2014 16:39

Well! We must try harder mustn't we!

Reminds me of my old school reports..."If Duck saw fit to apply herself then she would do well" Thanks then Mrs Grumpy PE Teacher!

Minion · 26/04/2014 17:02

I had a bfp too.
Who's doing the next one? Lil?

aylesburyduck · 26/04/2014 17:06

Min!! how did I forget that!!

I think you should start us off and blow baby dust our way, and let us rub your belly.

Grin
Wilhelminand · 26/04/2014 17:44

No, I think Something's was the last thread. Min is the only one!!
Min you should definitely start us off to pass the luck on. Ooh that's a bit depressing to have only one BFP.

ZylaB · 26/04/2014 18:14

Think I've given in for this thread, no AF yet, due tomorrow, but BFNs today and yesterday and I'm pretty sure they should have picked it up according to the % accuracy on the packet for 1 or 2 days pre AF :(

Also had a major meltdown at DH cos it felt like he wasn't as bothered about it all, followed by him ordering everything off amazon, all kinds of contraband including the advanced clear blue fertility monitor, vitamins etc etc, booking us in for a docs appt and also an open evening at a private fertility clinic.

.....and wine and choc.....

Warned him I might blub again later.

RPopz · 26/04/2014 18:38

Min! How could I forget you! Blush

Zyla, you're not out til AF shows up! That was so me last month though.... clearblue fertility monitor and preseed off ebay the minute af showed up! I really recommend the advance cbfm, its cute if nothing else Wink I'm eyeing up some Fertilaid on amazon for DH if/ when AF shows up this month.... Its pretty sad I guess but its how I get though this!

Private fertility clinic? How long have you been trying? (Totally contemplated it but think you still need a gp referral)

RPopz · 26/04/2014 18:52

Sorry your feeling so low as well Zyla Sad I've felt the same for the past couple of AFs. Can definitely identify with the husband trouble as well. I've had a fair few meltdowns at mine rightly or wrongly. I guess its difficult for them to be quite as "involved" with it as we are, its not their body that's constantly being monitored etc, but that doesn't mean they don't care.

Its reassuring to know we all react similarly though and I'm not just stark raving bonkers! Noone warns you how emotional ttc is, do they.

Wine and Thanks for everyone!

Minion · 26/04/2014 19:04

Haha, just read my reply back, totally sounded like a petulant child stomping my feet 'heeeyyyyy I got one too' way way way.
Let's just blame the hormones...
Deal?

I'll start it off if you want but I'll wait till we get a bit closer x

ZylaB · 26/04/2014 19:10

You can self refer to the clinic rpopz or get one from gp. It's not an appointment there, but a look around. Though I've told him I'm too old to wait and want to try everything.

The gp appt is cos we're both past 35 and have been trying 7 months, so officially 6 months at our age is when they'll help you, but I'd convinced myself I was go this month, which didn't help with my meltdown :(

RPopz · 26/04/2014 19:11

Aaah I see. Sorry, hope you didn't think I was being judgey! Thanks

ZylaB · 26/04/2014 19:11

And it is the advanced one we're getting. I like that it'll record everything incl JS days etc. we're away on hol at icing time next month so it'll be coming away with us lol

ZylaB · 26/04/2014 19:12

No of course not rpopz :)

ZylaB · 26/04/2014 19:13

And it IS nice to know I'm not alone in feeling like this :)

DulcetMoans · 26/04/2014 19:20

Aw thanks all. You are a caring bunch. We will have Skype, although that is weird at first, and yes there can be holidays but obviously that all depends on the baby situation... I haven't told him about any of that either. Probably for the best...

Sorry to hear about the meltdown zyla, but we all get those. I booked am open evening at our clinic as well in June. Thought about it the last few months but always thought 'nah, we will be pregnant by then so won't matter' but obviously that's not happened! Our clinic we are at with NHS is private too so going to look around that one and would consider paying depending in cost. Hope your visit is sooner than June though!

We didn't do well with the BFPs then. Probably not much time to get another one in either. Hopefully min luck can rub off on us next time though!

Come on girls, chins up and tits out! You WILL do this!
Hell, if it happened to me with all the freaky shit my body does, I know for sure you'll be joining me soon xx

ZylaB · 26/04/2014 20:38

Dulcet it's the start of June for the open day, May was full!

Zylashusband · 26/04/2014 21:06

Not sure if men are allowed on here but just wanted to thank you guys for supporting my wife through all this......it much appreciated by both of us!

That's enough male interference so I will leave you all to your girly chat

ZylaB · 26/04/2014 21:10

Lol. Apart from the slightly patronising 'girly chat'..... Bless him.

Didn't know he was doing that until he posted and then commented on things I'd said this month! He then read posts I'd made and maintains he DID know what brand of pg test I wanted few days ago... But I'm not sure lol.

Bless again.

He is now banned from commenting! Tho he only knew cos I read some of the lovely supportive stuff you'd posted after my mini meltdown, so thank you again from me xx

lil1ady · 26/04/2014 21:14

agreed min should start us off next!

dulcet sorry about your dad moving. I haven't spoken to mine for years (long story) and he came up in general chit chat with dh today and I ended up bawling. symptom? He's a total dick head and I know I did the right thing cutting him out, but I miss him.

sorry for witch parking mich and anyone else I've missed.Wine

I'm due to test Friday if ertd doesn't save her spot on the sunbeds, but you'll probably have to wait until the following Thursday for an update unless I find WiFi. the hpts are packed alongside the tampax just in case!!

been really short tempered with dh tonight, don't know why. another symptom? so best go apologise and play nice!

clearly I need a hooya for the symptom spotting
