Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

3rd of may, that's assuming I spring straight into my old 28 day cycles this is the first proper cycle since coming off depo in July, however it did only take 2 cycles and a split condom with my last pregnancy!

lil1ady · 23/04/2014 23:57

omg why do I venture out of this thread! there is some silly stuff out there. I've just posted to someone wondering why their kid won't sleep....they are letting them stay on the sofa next to them in front of the telly! uhh duh! seriously how is it fair that I don't have a kid! aggggghhhhhh

lala5 · 24/04/2014 07:19

Morning viroids! Not been a good week for me - been a bit down about everything and had some crappy news yesterday that means I can't afford to keep my horse anymore. I was thinking of putting him out on loan anyway if I got pregnant but now it's become a bit more urgent. Just sad because I've been training hard to get him to a nice point and we were due to do a competition next month, our first one.
Ach it's daft I know - horses are a luxury and you feel stupid for being upset but he's a much loved pet and I'm sad.

Haven't had any energy or interest in JSing this week coz I just don't really feel like it. Sad

Sorry to bring the mood down but that's my update.

Hope you're all OK, somethingdid I spot a post from you?

Minion · 24/04/2014 07:41

babble bless you! I've only ever had one water infection but it was more than enough to put me for life! That cranberry stuff tastes crapola!

dulcet not much to be honest! it seems to be levelling out a bit! the nausea is still hovering around! find I get full really quickly then about 9pm starving again but other than that, the same. Oh a new spot yesterday... She's a delight!

lil yep you're right! it's a nice symptom as it shows something's actually in there, of which I doubt sometimes! but I can't change the bin without dry heaving and I smell onions everywhere.. Tis a bit rank. But as you say, I'd rather have them. For peace of minds sake.

lala sorry about horsey, thats sad news xxx

something\zenry eeekkkkkk.... How far? How far?

wil daytime naps are the best aren't they! I would say I've only been doing it since getting knocked up, but I'd be lying out of my back teeth. I've been at it for years. I simply can't function without one, come 2o'clock I'm useless if I've not napped (unless flying, then I power through).
I wonder if it's why I've not been knocked sideways by the fatigue.

popz yep, do not let them tell you it's 7 days before ERTD, you're right they aren't. I'd be well tempted to look up my own results tho. Is that sort of thing frowned upon?

Well viroids, I seem to have cracked the driving malarkey (took me bloody long enough like), did a lesson day before yesterday and it was best drive over done! Included turns in the road and parallel parking, seeing as though I'm on leave at the moment, thought I'd squeeze another in this arvo at 3! Just in time for rush hour.. D'oh! Instructor said 'a few more of lessons like theses minion and you'll be able to book your test'...
Ha! Just gotta stop screaming every time I try and get on a roundabout now eh!
Also got news yesterday of potential completion date for house, in a month!
Excited!

Sorry about the mammoth post x

zenry · 24/04/2014 08:01

Yup had to name change due to the whole password thing as I signed up previously with an email address I dont have access to anymore.

Well by scan im 7+6 today but by my dates im 8+3. Ds was only 5lb though so maybe just another small one. Im sure my date will change at 12 weeks but for now EDD is the 5th of december

DulcetMoans · 24/04/2014 09:14

zenry - how exciting!! How are you feeling? I don't think the photos shows up on the phone so others might not have been able to see.

So sorry to hear about your horse lala! I can imagine that is pretty devastating as he is a pet. Can you still see them when they are loaned out? I don't now much about horses!

Great news on the driving minion, sometimes it does just click and that will give you the confidence to get through the test hopefully!

No cape action in our house last night. We just couldn't face it! We are both so wiped out. Just yawned at my desk as if to prove how tired I am! I think one more go tonight will probably be our lot for this month - unless we want to of course! I think that takes us to a total of 9 times so not quite the magic 10 and not nearly enough for SOTM!

RPopz · 24/04/2014 11:57

Well hello something/ zenry! I've had to come on the actual mn website to see your news! So glad you've come to say hello, was just thinking about you the otherday.

Lil, I know what you mean! I can't help myself reading thru all the conception threads sometimes... I always end up feeling shite. Chin up missus, it'll be our turn soon and we'll smash it :-)

Oh Lala that is gutting. Not daft at all, a pet is a pet. I'd be devastated if any of my animals had to go. Is there a friend you could loan him to and that way you'd still see him? Can you at least do the comp first? Sorry if they're ridiculous qtns!

Min, yes looking up your own results is not strictly allowed (though I think looking up other people's who you know is worse). Mostly because you're supposed to have them interpreted for you by a medic... lab results don't mean anything in isolation yada yada.... Fair enough in some cases.

Sorry to anyone I've missed!

aylesburyduck · 24/04/2014 14:43

hello lovelies.

have sent mr duck out to play golf cause he's getting on my nerves. I should be clearing out a cupboard but I am a bit tired. AF was due yesterday, and I have got the worst cramps ever today.

I stood in tesco earlier debating whether to buy tampax or a pregnancy test. I bought the tampax Sad I haven't got a single symptom and this happened last month too.

We dtd 7 times this month, Mr Duck is loving TTC and I am going to have to fight him off with a stick next month - he's going for the magical 10!

Hope you're all well, who's next for a bfp?

x

Babblehag · 24/04/2014 16:09

omg just got in to find at least six bees in my living room!!

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 24/04/2014 16:41

Hellooo

Zenry congratulations!

LaLa sorry about the horse, that's really hard. Hope you're ok.

Well I'm on CD 27 so the Witch is due in the next day or two. Praying she holds off until my Friday night out in the forest is over. I have no symptoms - AF or otherwise. Just feel tired and grumpy = normal.

Decided that my hiatus is over, I'm getting back on that JSing horse in earnest next month - I'll be starting new job in a few weeks, so at least I won't risk starting job whilst pg. So it's fair game from here on in...

Good luck with the 'Day 21' test Popz - and yes, 7 days post ovulation is right. I'm STILL trying to time mine on the right day, this month it fell on Good Friday, handy. Hopefully I can get it done next month for peace of mind.

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 24/04/2014 16:44

Babble aaargh, have you tackled the bees?

My dog is obsessed with catching them then spitting them out. I'm petrified he'll get stung on the tongue - in fact he probably has done - but it hasn't put him off.

DP found a bee's nest in an old box while clearing out the shed the other day. When you kick the box it Buzzes aaaargh, makes my hair stand on end! I begged him to move it away yesterday, but he refused saying they're fine if you just leave them alone. I've got visions of my dog bumping into it and being engulfed in killer bees.... eeeeeek and to think I'm an actual conservationist who pretends to be cool about this stuff in my professional life

Minion · 24/04/2014 17:10

ayles you have a symptom... Cramping! Honestly it's virtually the same feeling! Test woman, test!
(Side note it's not the stretching which feels like ERTD to me, it's the 'oh my god I really need to go to the loo, right NOW' feeling which is the same as ERTD)
Maybe tmi duck but you on the first day of ERTD when everything's a bit 'loose'... That! X

ZylaB · 24/04/2014 17:50

Well I asked DH to get some preg tests from the shop yesterday, eh 'claims' they didn't have any first response, but I don't know if he forgot the name or doesn't want me to madly test again before AF date on sun lol.

So I'm waiting.... And waiting.... And trying to convince myself the odd cramp aren't ERTD related and are symptoms!

So sorry to hear about the horse lala they truly are members of the family the same as other pets

RPopz · 24/04/2014 18:14

Is wanting to kill your husband in a fit of murderous rage a symptom? Cos I've definitely got that! Grin

Wilhelminand · 24/04/2014 18:16

He probably wasn't listening Zyla, my other half would just assume they were all the same. I agree that you can't necessarily tell the difference between pg cramps and ERTD cramps.

Welcome back to the fold Mich. Probably nice to have a wee break for a month to de-stress.

Oh zenry how lovely. Hope all is ok if you got an early scan.

Hope you feel better soon Lala.

People who were talking about venturing out of here - I stupidly had a sneaky peek at the November ante-natal club thread. They're all 'scans scans scans' and I realised I would have been almost 3 months by now. Seems like no time at all. It's very frustrating and I need to stop reading it!

I'm starting to think maybe I should indulge in contraband. And in other news I have the magical cervical smear tomorrow. Still holding out hope that this will work!

Babblehag · 24/04/2014 18:20

sorry about your horse lala, Sad

luckily we have secondary glazing (I don't know why-landlord) which meant I could open the first set to get bees in then on the window and close the first set, I was going to try and spray them, I got one but then felt really bad and a bit sick about it and couldn't do anymore.Sad

RPopz · 24/04/2014 18:42

Funny you should say that about contraband Wil. I was just on another fred reading about someone's mammoth shagging effort (and I mean MAMMOTH!) and wondering if we should just go back to a month long shagathon! It was pretty stressful before though. But we haven't JSed for a week now so if the cbfm lied about ovulation I'm probably stuffed for this month! All so confusing.

Minion · 24/04/2014 18:49

Sadly popz, wanting to rip my arm and twat the husband over the head with the soggy end is just a standard Wednesday over here, can't help you with that symptom i'm afraid.
However I've noticed im a lot more nicer to him the past two weeks...
Go figure.

Wilhelminand · 24/04/2014 19:48

Right how come people manage these mammoth numbers? We have only done 4 and we're already on CD13 - hopefully 5 by the end of tonight. How long do they keep shagging? I thought most people ovulated on day 14? Even if I did it every day from CD6, that's only 9.

Haha Minion, hit him with the soggy end. That made me laugh.

DulcetMoans · 24/04/2014 20:40

Yeah popz, that's just a symptom of living with your husband.

Wil - I'm not sure how I would get beyond 10 really. We do EOD where possible and I am pretty sure I ice late so we keep going later. And maybe if people have longer cycles? But yeah, anything above 10 is unobtainable here! Good effort if you can do it!

OP posts:
RPopz · 24/04/2014 20:43

Good bloody thing I did look my own sample up at work! Some office numpty put the wrong location on it so never would have got any results if I hadn't just changed it...Angry

Also: "clinical details: Infertility". Little bit crushing Sad Sad Sad

RPopz · 24/04/2014 20:45

I don't know how these mammoth numbers come about either Wil. DH has a hissy fit if we do it more than 3 nights in a row and also if we do it eod.... so I'm damned either way...

ZylaB · 24/04/2014 21:13

I only got away with bigger numbers this month cos he promised we'd do 'everything we could' this month when I was in tears at my last ERTD! A comment I reminded him of when he was knackered/ being told to come home from work on a night he should be staying away etc. also on a longer than average cycle too, so allows for a bit more. We managed 12 and then one more few days after icing, so dunno if it counts...

I wouldn't expect it every month :p

aylesburyduck · 24/04/2014 21:15

I read a thread earlier and the poster had dtd practically every bloody day sice AF finished. God knows where they found the energy!

AF has showed up here Angry Sad almost three days late. I'm gutted. I know I didn't have any symptoms but I had a little sob.

pass me some Cake

ZylaB · 24/04/2014 21:16

And according to contraband I didn't ovulate until cd21, so we kept at it cos got high fertility for ages, but not peak until later than I thought, and I kept insisting we had some swimmers there ready! ( sorry if tmi) :)
