The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Morning ladies,
Sorry to see so many of you are feeling so blue today.
And Tanny, take the time you need. It sounds like you have a decent employer at least. I think a little break is probably just what you need.

I've had ewcm for days now (thanks epo) and still no ov! Every morning I hope my temps will reveal something but nada!

sebsmummy1 · 01/04/2014 11:11

English are you still using your monitor? My readings this month have been totally different from last month. I'm assuming it's because it's 'getting to know me' now I have one peak cycle under my belt.

Metalhead · 01/04/2014 11:20

I'm also having ewcm again today, but got the faintest line so far this month on the IC opk... Hmm

tannyLoo · 01/04/2014 11:51

Metal I had 4 days of ewcm before I got a positive opk this month, and I think it was about 5 last month, if that helps.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 01/04/2014 12:27

Sebs I can't start a new cycle with it because i haven't had a visit from af. On day 42 of this cycle without any bleeding. My guess is that i didn't ovulate and now my body is starting the whole process again. If i'd had a normal cycle this would now be cd13 of a new one and therefore close to ovulation. Fuck knows whats going on. But I am losing the will to live to not knowing!!
Did a few ic opks and had a dark line on sunday. So hoping i'm right and ov is imminent.

Metalhead · 01/04/2014 12:37

Thanks tanny, hopefully I will get a +opk soon as well.

I've come down with a stinking cold, just in time for my interview tomorrow! That will go down well I'm sure, sneezing all over the interviewers... urgh.

sebsmummy1 · 01/04/2014 12:43

Grrrr English I'm sorry I didn't know that. How long were your cycles previously?

I can remember there was a few months in my twenties where I was being really strict with my diet and my period just disappeared for a month. I assume you are eating well and not over exercising or anything?

EnglishGirlAbroad · 01/04/2014 13:11

Cycles are normally 29/30 days.
Diet and exercise are no different to normal. I've always had a fairly balanced diet & exercised 3-4 times a week. I just think my body is fucked! I can't believe a miscarriage at nearly 6 weeks can have such a disruptive impact on my cycles. As if the miscarriage itself wasn't bad enough, the shitty erratic cycles are impeding my ability to get pg again! Its crap!

Triplespin · 01/04/2014 13:19

ooh parsley Mauritius sounds v. exciting ! It is also on my list of places to visit, but soo expensive. You will have a lovely time I am sure.

holly I had a cd21 test and my levels were 40. So fairly close to you. When I showed these to the specialist fertility clinic, they said it was a good level. I had also diagnosed myself with low progresterone prior to that - but don't think that is the answer for your case either. Your levels are good.

sebs sorry to hear you a feeling blue. I really don't know how much ewcm is 'normal', but i only get 2 days before ovulation and its mostly on wiping. Very different from how it is described in "taking charge of your fertility" book. I recall sundance trying the cough syrup and got upduffed that month. So it might be worth a try? How long did it take you to get pg first time around? Sorry haven't scrolled down to the stats :)

english cd42 - that is a very long cycle. Are you very stressed about something? I had a 38 day cycle few months before I got pregnant, but I knew then that I ovulated much later. Don't think I was particularly stressed about anything, so not quite sure why I ovulated late. If you are getting ovulation signs now then maybe as you say, you might have had an anovulatory cycle and starting off again. To give you hope, one lady on this thread had a 50-60 day cycle and also got pg in the same cycle ! so don't lose hope.

tanny it must've been tough being back at work. Its good to know though that your work are being understanding. You should definitely take as much time as you need, especially if it is being offered by them.

Some more pg announcements. This time our neighbour who is 16 weeks pregnant with first child. Sigh.... I spent part of Sunday morning packing up DS's baby clothes to give away. So hopefully this weekend they will be dropped off to the charity shop. I have also put the cot on ebay - no bids yet, but its a start ! I have also been having accupuncture. This is 5 elements, where they burn this moxa herb at specific points and put the needles in at various points, but only for a split second and then take them out. I've been enjoying my sessions a lot. We have a 15 minute chat first to discuss worries, ohealth /sleep/stress issues and then 30 mins of accupuncture. I feel so relaxed and positive after the sessions. Even if it doesn't help directly with getting pregnant, I feel less stress in my life.

sebsmummy1 · 01/04/2014 13:23

I assumed you've pissed on a thousand sticks to rule out upduffedness?

On my copious wanderings around the internet I have read that some women have been prescribed the pill to 'reset' their periods again after mc. I think if it was me I would do what you are doing and treat this like a new cycle. However if I couldn't track OV and AF was still absent at the time you would expect it then get thee to the docs.

I'm so sorry you're still being head fucked by your body, the very least it could do is get with the program and allow you to concentrate on TTC xx

sebsmummy1 · 01/04/2014 13:24

Above post w directed at English btw Wink

EnglishGirlAbroad · 01/04/2014 13:40

Thanks Sebs and Triple. Not particularly stressed at the moment. I poas about a week ago and bfn.
We're moving back home in May so plan on getting to the docs as soon as I'm back. The doctors here are very useless, I don't fancy being brushed off so will hear myself up for a battle with my usual gp! In the meantime hopefully something might happen. To be honest right now I don't care too much if AF does turn up!

CattyW72 · 01/04/2014 13:58

Hello ladies - can I join in?

My stats are:

Catty, 41, TTC #1, MMC Mar '14

I think I'm ready to start again - emotionally all over the place (my EPRC was the week before last when I would have been 10w2d: I would have been 12w tomorrow Sad) but at my age I'm not sure I can wait.

tannyLoo · 01/04/2014 14:52

Hi Catty sorry you're here.

I'm also a 72 vintage and feeling like I can't waste a second. I'm on an enforced 3 month break following the most horrendous year of MCs. I am closer to a diagnosis, which keeps me going, but feel like every cycle gone is a cycle wasted...

I hope your stay with us is short and sweet!

Littlelady33 · 01/04/2014 14:57

Welcome Catty sorry to hear about the awful time you've been having and hope that this thread provides some comfort

GailLondon · 01/04/2014 15:14

Hi Catty, sorry that you're here with us but you are very welcome here!

My MC was at the end of Feb and I was 12 weeks. I felt ready to start trying again a couple of weeks later, don't think my body was ready though as had on and off spotting/bleeding all the way up to my first AF last week. Feeling properly reset and back to normal this cycle.
How are you feeling physically?

English are you looking forward to coming back to the UK? Have you been away a long time?

Cakebaker35 · 01/04/2014 15:34

Welcome catty, glad you decided to join us here but hope your stay is short. You'll get loads of support here, wisdom and even some laughs along the way x

Littlelady33 · 01/04/2014 15:57

Another negative opk. I definitely ovd some time ago if at all - and in any case now 4 weeks after ERPC isn't likely. So must be in the 2ww... But no poas until at least next Friday. Wish my body could give me clearer signals!

BobaFetaCheese · 01/04/2014 16:12

Rejoining this thread (was only here a short time, so fingers crossed for a short stay).
TTC#3, in the middle of a wtf end of cycle (bfp, bfn, bfn the last three days) so expecting another chem. 4 (or 5 can't remember!) previous chems, 1 proper mc and 2 lovely boys (ds2 was conceived the cycle after 7wk loss).

Will read through the fred now and won't poas until Friday, honest guv.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 01/04/2014 16:34

Welcome Catty and Boba, like others have said, I wish you a short stay with us, but we'll help to pick you when you're feeling down and cheer you on when your feeling great.

Gail - I can't bloody wait to come back. Only been away 6 months, but never wanted to leave in the first place. As much as people slate the nhs, i've really learnt to appreciate it.
There's so much I miss about the uk - mainly family and friends but stupid stuff too. I think when I'm back i'll probably feel a whole lot more happy about life in general. Right now, I can't say I'm happy, just muddling by.

tannyLoo · 01/04/2014 21:31

Seasides big thank yous for the worrywarts guide. I intend to read it over the next few days. Smile

Sal1977 · 01/04/2014 21:55

Hey ladybugs! Just checking in to say hello! Been decorating all weekend and with a lovely positive OPK today, off to christen the new bedroom!

Seasides, any chance you could send me that handout lovely? X

Seasides · 01/04/2014 22:22

You're very welcome tanny! Of course sal (nice to have you back Smile), just DM me your email (soon I will know all your real identities mwha ha ha Grin and you'll all have to be extra nice to me so I keep your ewcm secrets! Well, and vice versa I suppose when I email you back. There goes that evil scheme...)

officelady · 02/04/2014 07:13

Morning chaps Smile
Hello to the newbies, may your stay be short and sweet!
I just wanted to post a message to say hello because I literally have nothing to report. No bedroom action (too knackered and not interested) and no sign of ovulation occuring anytime this century I am POAS daily but getting either very very faint second lines, or no test line at all. Also no sign of EWCM, or indeed anything mucusy at all - it's drier than a camel's flip-flop down there. I have started charting my temp and that's staying low too.

I'm on CD19 of my wtf cycle. So I guess it's still early days but I am Very Very Impatient!!!!!!!

sebsmummy1 · 02/04/2014 08:47

Argh office, you are bringing back memories of my own WTF cycle and it was a total head fuck. Hopefully it will turn into something soon so you can start tracking your cycles again.

Well my CBFM hates me this month. I'm on cd10, still showing Low and yet I am due to ovulate on cd13! I am going to just carry on my BD plan regardless. Might go and get some opks though so I can double check in the afternoon.
