The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Ooh Holly , POAS! Wink

sebsmummy1 · 29/03/2014 11:41

Oooooh defo POAS Holly Grin

Well we have started SMEP on CD 6. Although we get in lots of sex over the fertile period I think we should be making more of an effort outside of this, hence starting a bit early.

My CBFM didn't ask for a test stick this morning, no idea why. I assume because last month was more text book in that it hit peak it is now conserving sticks and will ask me for one tomorrow? Who knows.

I have sent partner and son off to Nannies whilst I clean and do done decorating. Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit more of a down day as we are having a nice early dinner in a posh restaurant nearby with my Mum.

sebsmummy1 · 29/03/2014 11:44

Oh inca I'm so sorry you are here, how are you feeling?

LaceyLee · 29/03/2014 12:04

Welcome inca and sorry you find yourself here.

Holly you should definitely poas!! Go on!!

I am fairly successfully focussing on other things... or trying to...5dpo and nothing except horrible spots! Another bfp would keep me going, sorry that's very selfish!

TeaRex · 29/03/2014 12:10

Hello inca, sorry to see you here.

But congratulations to cakes and also carly

Having a right shitter of a week, stinking cold, and our garage door is hanging off, cue much crying from me (I honestly don't know what else can break/fuck up this year) if any if you get a minute could you take a look at my thread and give an opinion? Know it's not at all ttc related so no worries if you can't be bothered :)

TeaRex · 29/03/2014 12:12

Christ thread link would help wouldn't it?

Triplespin · 29/03/2014 13:29

holly you should poas. You have permission!! On cd31 this definitely sounds like IB. Good luck and let us know how you get on. Fx.

tea sorry to hear that!! It is downright depressing when everything else also starts to break alongside. I am not really a DIY person so cannot comment on your post, but maybe think of it as a distraction from the TTC obsession?

Cakebaker35 · 29/03/2014 14:57

Welcome Inca, as others have said I hope your stay here us a short one.

Holly, poas!!!

Seasides · 29/03/2014 15:09

Yep, Holly, pee on that stick! Although, and sorry not to be totally positive, wouldn't it be a bit late for IB? I thought that tended to be around 9/10dpo? But for af not to arrived properly on around 14dpo I would be peeing on things!

TeaRex · 29/03/2014 16:53

Yep holly poas! :)

I'm spending too much time on mumsnet today! Tiny tiny amount of ewcm with big streak of bright red blood, wtf does that mean? Confused

Seasides · 29/03/2014 18:29

Where are you in your cycle tea?

Grr, got the 2ww munchies and only cheese and ham in the fridge! In danger of working my way through the whole cheese...

LaceyLee · 29/03/2014 18:41

Omg seasides I totally have that today. Been realllllly hungry! I am also sadly thinking it could be a symptom.... But also having one beer tonight on the basis that its not going to do any harm and I'm probably not!

TeaRex · 29/03/2014 18:44

Got AF on the 7th seasides so just over 3 weeks in but my cycles are never regular so don't have a clue where I am. Stupid body.

HollyBen · 29/03/2014 19:04

So just for you guys I poas and bfn. It would seem this is some sort of pathetic excuse for af. I have my day 1 bloods on Tuesday then will make an apt to see go straightaway rather than wait to the end of this cycle

TeaRex · 29/03/2014 19:30

Sorry holly :(

Seasides · 29/03/2014 21:17

Oh, that's balls holly, sorry. Good plan to speak to doc sooner rather than later to put your mind at ease, hopefully, and to get something on file.

I always think that lacey, I'm only 3dpo though so even i can't blame it on a symptom just yet! Just greedy...though I am always way hungrier during the 2ww, it's interesting when you pay attention to your body and spot these patterns.

LaceyLee · 29/03/2014 21:47

Sorry Holly. I had a vet light AF this time round as well, I don't know why but it is a little concerning. Was everything else the same for you this month? Mine was pretty much, ov'd one day later than last month.

HollyBen · 30/03/2014 10:58

I am actually feeling fine with bfn. I though it was AF on Thursday so went through my moment then. Apart from not getting a positive OPK everything was normal lacey Bit of cramping this morning and actually some red when wiping so maybe it will ramp up a bit now.

CakesALot · 30/03/2014 11:12

Morning ladies!

I'm having a wobble and need a slap! I tested again yesterday-still positive. So I treated myself to a cb digi. Still said I was pregnant, but I was fully expecting it to say conception was 2 to 3 weeks ago but it said 1-2. There's obviously a good chance I ovulated later than I thought but I'm thinking actually my hormones aren't at the level they should be and this one isn't going to stick. I could be just being really pessimistic, it's a self-preservation thing!

This is why getting upduffed in the WTF cycle is a bad idea, it's all so uncertain!

sebsmummy1 · 30/03/2014 12:03

CakesALot I did a speech on my last TTC thread that Cakebaker may remember which basically underlined the futility of pissing on multiple sticks after your first 'good' positive.

I hit all the digi stick targets according to Clearblue and still miscarried, so honestly, please stop stressing out about Clearblue digis, they will not predict a healthy pregnancy unfortunately.

I would have happily paid a private clinic to take regular HCG bloods from me for my own peace of mind. I spent a lot of time researching it when I thought I was losing my pregnancy (unfortunately I was ) and this service didn't seem to exist. I don't know why!!

CakesALot · 30/03/2014 12:09

Thanks, sebs. I do need to stop stressing and reading too much into things. I promise to take it easy! And no more peeing on sticks!

Carly6971 · 30/03/2014 12:14

Anyone else finding today hard? I was doing ok until I recieved a lovely message from my mum saying how our little bean would always be her first grandchild in her eyes and how he would always have a special place in her heart :,( every time I think I am doing well I get another day that knocks me off my feet.

But...happy Mother's Day to all you mummies and mummies to be, and here's hoping we all have our precious babies this time next year :) x

Parsley2506 · 30/03/2014 13:50

Ahh carly that's so sweet of your Mum but must have been very hard for you to read! I am actually surprisingly ok, but I've avoided everything Mothers Day related quite well so far!
Be kind to yourself, and hopefully you're right that this time next year we'll be millionaires mummies!

Happy MD to everyone with kids

Cakebaker35 · 30/03/2014 14:02

sebs I remember your speech well Smile and cakes it really is totally pointless poas-ing loads of times so please don't put yourself through it, according to my bloody testing I'm still preggers and that's about 7 weeks after mmc so the hormones still won't fuck the fuck off! I also asked my gp about those cb digi tests, she said they are basically a guide only and she wishes they were not available as they stress so many women out! So please chuck out all tests, sit back, and eat Cake Grin

Trying to be chirpy today for dd, who scribbled a picture for me Smile but so sad not to have a lovely bump too. Fish slaps for me please.

CakesALot · 30/03/2014 14:22

Thank you, cake. It's so hard not to to obsess but there are no more tests in the house and I will not buy any more. Felling much better now. Determined to take one day at a time. Enjoy your Mother's Day cake, and everyone else with children. And yes, here's to us all having babes in arms this time next year Smile
