The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

As the others have said there is still time otters

Congratulations cakes I had a shitty feeling sorry for myself night last night so that's really cheered me up this morning Smile my positive thoughts for today: not getting a BFP gives me another month to lose some weight, so I can wear one of my lovely dresses for our anniversary night away and I can enjoy some Wine I have my day 1 blood test on Tuesday so can get referral to infertility clinic in motion.

Carly6971 · 28/03/2014 14:40

I am going to try smep this cycle although not to the letter as DH away from cd 11-14 but hoping that won't affect us to much as my cycles are looooong and I don't ov usually until day 18-20. The reviews (if that's the right word) of smep seem to be amazing. You can download the free smep book on iTunes.

As for me I also got a new job today :) didn't mention it as was sure I wouldn't get it but...whoop da effing whoop! X

CakesALot · 28/03/2014 14:46

Congrats Carly, Brilliant news! Smile

tannyLoo · 28/03/2014 14:59

Woop indeed Carly!

broodylicious · 28/03/2014 14:59

Big congrats cakesalot and carly. Such great news to end the week on!

I'm going to look at this SMEP and see what it's all about. I'm desperate for a good TITH sesh as we've abstained until all the bleeding has finished. Just as it stopped, AF (or whoever the frick it is that brings random intermittent period like bleeding) started so we're pretty much gagging for it now. DD has been a total nightmare with her sleeping over the last month, waking ridiculously regularly even by her own shocking standards, so just hope she can have a good night soon so we can get down to business ;)

MissHobart · 28/03/2014 15:09

Last two PG's hardly at all, this one, four times over five day fertile window! Grin

EnglishGirlAbroad · 28/03/2014 16:31

I did SMEP when I got my BFP. Gonna do it now I have my +tve OPK. Fingers crossed!
Congrats Carly!!

HollyBen · 28/03/2014 16:50

What a lovely run of god news we are having. Congrats carly probably a good idea to start SMEP a bit later if you ov late. I also ov around cd 17 and when I have tried to do it too the latter we have run out of steam by ov Shock and never really managed the after ov tith. Off course I am convinced that's where we are failing !!! I am going to wait until I get EWCM this month then start with every other day see how that goes

broodylicious · 28/03/2014 17:19

Basically, from my brief reading, SMEP = bonk city!! GrinGrinGrin Not sure we will make it to the after ov bit, we will be knackered!!

Cakebaker35 · 28/03/2014 17:20

Congratulations Carly, wonderful news to end the week on.

Smep sounds like hard work but does seem to get results for lots of people. When I got pg with dd it really was very unexpected, had been on the pill 15 yrs and then had sex once and bingo, upduffed aged 35, I was convinced it would take ages so didn't know for weeks and then the docs had fun trying to date it, madness...if only I could return to those carefree days! The second time we dtd from cd8 to 16 every other day, even that was a lot to squeeze in! Like others have said, who knows what really 'works' but I'm so desperate for this ruddy bleeding to stop now so we can just have some non ttc action and find some sort of normality.

Triplespin · 28/03/2014 17:39

Ooh my long message has disappeared. Just wanted to say amazing news cake and carly

OttersPocket · 28/03/2014 18:01

Woohoo carly!! May our new jobs bring us bfp's WinkGrin

Well I po another frer and still bfn. I only did it because I'm meeting a couple of friends for Wine and wanted to have a drink with a clear conscience. I'm okay to have a glass or two aren't I?

Have a lovely Friday evening everyone Smile

JonesSchool · 28/03/2014 19:48

One of those days today.
Lots of bump news and scan photos, aargh.
Not only that, walking into school this morning, one of the other teachers was walking in with her 2 year old daughter, another teacher in her loudest voice pipes up " that will be you soon"
If only, I am trying sooo hard.

Oh well, onwards and upwards, tomorrow we are off to visit friends with a three month old, we didn't go last time as it was the day after my MC. Feeling very nervous.

Carly6971 · 28/03/2014 20:57

jones sorry you have had a tough day :( I hope the weekend is good to you :)

Thanks for all the congrats ladies, I am chuffed :) otters defo fingers crossed for the law of sod with the new jobs.

holly I was thinking of starting smep on cd 12? Might give it a go from day 8 this month see how we get on but with all honesty we are not the best at keeping on keeping on, iykwim! X

Seasides · 28/03/2014 23:06

What a couple of days - career ladies and BFPs! So chuffed for the lot of you.

Just back from a very restrained half a pint with a 7 month pg friend. She's so lovely it's hard to feel too sad, I think my skin is getting thicker with it
all as well, it's been so long now.

2dpo now I think, though my temps have been a bit weird this month. Def on a high now though, think I prob OVd on Wed. And DH has just gone away for 2 weeks - it would be amazing to be able to welcome him home with good news! I predict af will be doing the welcoming though, as ever. Poor sod is probably delighted to be at a distance from me, we've had TITH 5 times in 6 days! We're once-a-week pandas normally, it's tough I tell you. Totally sympathise with you reluctant SMEP-ers.

Good luck tomorrow Jones, get that baby battle armour on.

JonesSchool · 28/03/2014 23:21

Thank you seasides I love the idea of baby battle armour, that will keep me going tomorrow x

Parsley2506 · 29/03/2014 00:01

Jones, good luck tomorrow. May the force of the Posifrickentive be with you.

Carly - well done you! Marvellous news Grin

Seasides - I am really rooting for a long term thread BFP or three this go round. Everything is crossed for you

I am stupidly tiddlywinks after after a night out with MrP - autocorrect is doing all the work as I lie H&B. Bed with one eye open. I can See mistakes already but no energy to correct. Zzzzzzzzzz Wine Wine

I am absolutely LOVING the posefrickentivity on here this week - new jobs, BFPs, battle armour - the lot!
Thanks for the SMEP book tip, carly - just downloaded it onto my kindle for reading later. We have managed a handful of shags this week (that sounds so very wrong!), they will all be futile as far as ttc is concerned because I don't think I'm near ovulation yet, but it's nice to reconnect and get back in the saddle as it were. Thinking back to my first pregnancy, we were young newlyweds and at it like rabbits so no wonder it only took a couple of cycles. Compare to this morning, we were fumbling about under the duvet trying not to wake the kids and the bloody dog jumped onto the bed and stared at us throughout the, erm, proceedings. And who says romance is dead!

Incacola · 29/03/2014 07:28

I've been in hiding from the ttc threads after mmc in Jan 14. Starting to feel better now but still prone to a few tears every now and again.

My stats are Inca cola, ttc #2 since April 13 (still bf'ing until Dec 13), mmc Jan 14 at 6+2.

Sebs, I'm really sorry to see you on here. We were on the same bus and you were very kind when I had to jump off. Thanks

broodylicious · 29/03/2014 07:37

inca, I think I remember you too. How are you getting on now hun? This is a great place for support, with a fab dollop of laughter on the side x

EnglishGirlAbroad · 29/03/2014 07:56

Hope you all have lovely weekends plannned! Looks set to be a beautiful weekend here! And I'm going to relive my youth and see the backstreet boys tomorrow BlushBlush (the shame)
First tith session as per SMEP - done!
Sorry you're joining us Inca, hope we can make this next stage of this shitty journey at least a little bit more enjoyable. And if you need to rant or moan, go ahead!

HollyBen · 29/03/2014 08:58

Welcome Inca. Here's hoping your stay is short (in the nicest possible day)

So my rummaging found some pinky CM on Thursday. On Friday there was more red so I put a liner. Nothing on it all day, though it was there is I resorted to rummaging. Last night I used a tampon which was practically dry this morning and only a little red when I have a search. AF has been light post MC but this is a bit worrying. Any thoughts/insights?

EnglishGirlAbroad · 29/03/2014 09:17

Could it possibly have been (whispers)... Implantation Hollyben?

Seasides · 29/03/2014 10:32

Backstreet Boys Grin Grin you legend English!

How many dpo are you holly? And how many af after mc is this? Sorry, on phone so can't scroll back for stats. It's just your hormones settling down still prob s, my afs were weird for a while...but I'm not ruling you out for IB either...FX.

Hi Inca, sorry you have to be here. Hope you're back on those grads threads quickly, and we make you smile a bit in the meantime.

HollyBen · 29/03/2014 11:22

mc was in sept though it took about 3 months for first af so this is cycle 4 since. Not really sure how many dpo as I never got a positive opk this month and ran oit of tests on cd19 which is when we last had tith. cd31 today. Usually get a positive cd 16/17, then have the pink tinged cm dpo 11 and a couple of days light flow. This seems very light though and not even a sessoon at the gym meant anything on a liner.
