OTD will be the 26th I guess

nobeer · 09/03/2014 10:30

Hi everyone
Thanks stars for your words of encouragement. I often think of you, trying to think of a way forward for you and some brilliant advice. It mostly involves lottery wins I'm afraid, I wish I could come up with more.

res I don't quite understand it all either. I think it's to do with the compatibility of the paternal and maternal cells. I've been googling it this morning and found a nice powerpoint doc by someone at Cambridge University. Lots of pictures which makes it easier to understand.

wish massive boobs sounds like a good sign to me.

maryp I'm impressed with the care you get in Germany.

b4by you sound a bit more positive today, well done. It's a tough time, so just be kind to yourself. You too brooker.

Waves to everyone else

moggle · 09/03/2014 11:33

MaryP the German system sounds amazing!!
B4by I spent a long time in John Lewis yesterday watching DH try on suits. It was not that exciting! But a new sewing machine definitely is, ooh. Mine needs a service but I can't bear to be without it!

So my news is, I got a bfp on a superdrug test this morning :-) cannot believe it! For various reasons when I woke up this morning I was convinced I was definitely not pregnant unlike yesterday when I was convinced I was... So I persuaded DH to give me the test so I could put myself out of my misery. We did it and could not believe my eyes when we got a second line. OTD is Wednesday so got a few days still to wait but really hope it sticks. Still hard to shake the definite negative feeling I had this morning, our bodies are so weird. Not quite sure what to do with ourselves today now!

WannabeMaryPoppins · 09/03/2014 11:58

Congratulations moggle that is amazing news! Am so chuffed for youGrin

Bunnygirlie · 09/03/2014 17:15

Yay moggle keeping everything crossed for a sticky one!

wishwash · 09/03/2014 17:32

moggle that's fantastic news! Congrats! What were your symptoms in the end?

turq my OTD is Friday but I'll probably end up testing early. I'm too scared to at the moment though Hmm that will change though I'm sure.

I don't know whether my symptoms are down to the amount of progesterone I'm on but in definitely feeling different this time round. I feel nauseous on and off, I have back ache and I'm sooooo tired all the time. I just want to know now

nobeer · 09/03/2014 17:41

mog that's great news! Congratulations to you and Mr M.

moggle · 09/03/2014 17:53

Thanks all:-) wish not many symptoms really. currently I just feel a bit 'periody' with a lower back ache and occasional light cramps. I felt more tired yesterday than I normally would after a day wandering round the shops even though I found a chair to sit down in at every opportunity. But not much i could definitely pin to anything other than the damn progesterone! Trying to put my head back in the sand until Wednesday morning.

It's been such a lovely day down here, couldn't believe I was out weeding with only a t-shirt! (And jeans obv...)

Turquoisetamborine · 09/03/2014 19:03

Moggle wow that's fantastic, chuffed for you. You enjoy it, you deserve it!!

Nobeer are you waiting to do some sort of test at the minute? I can't keep up with everyone!

Shellster are you lurking? How are things?

I enjoyed my day out. Plenty of bloody protein, I'm sick of it. Had eggy bread made with two eggs with walnuts, natural yogurt and raspberry coulis. Then soufflé with cheese and spinach for lunch. Now bucatini with bacon and tomato sauce for tea. That's got to be a lot of protein. I'm a big carb lover!

vallinnapod · 09/03/2014 20:24

Grin Yay Moggle Grin

B4byPlease · 09/03/2014 20:40

Moggle I'm sooo proud for you! That's such a good end to a BFN weekend from me and Brooker. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed that it sticks for you. That's amazing. What cycle is this for you? And how many embryos did you get to freeze again?
I'm hoping we can follow in your footsteps for our next cycle.

moggle · 09/03/2014 20:49

Thanks b4by I hope my good luck rubs off on everyone else. Everyone on here deserves it so much. We feel incredibly lucky because it was our first cycle. We have 11 blasts frozen as well - I thought we'd had our fair share of luck already by that point :-)

WannabeMaryPoppins · 10/03/2014 06:36

At this rate moggle you'll have that football team in no timeGrin

starsandmoonandback · 10/03/2014 07:32

Congratulations Moggle Smile

Turquoisetamborine · 10/03/2014 15:07

Hi ladies, I've been for my first stimming scan after 5 days of stimming meds (6th one tonight) and the doctor could only find one 12mm follicle! She said she maybe couldn't see others because of my bowel, I didn't really understand that. I haven't been constipated, sorry tmi!! I only have one ovary so I wasn't expecting miracles but hoped it would be better than this.

This cycle is going to fail I'm sure, what a shit result so far. Anyway I've been increased to 300 ml of Merional from today and I'm back on Friday for another scan.

I've been eating loads of protein anyway but I've just come home and had a pint of milk and 6 Brazil nuts.

Any other tips to help a lost cause to grow eggs??!!

wishwash · 10/03/2014 17:52

Hi turq. I'm sorry to hear it's not going to plan but please don't give up yet! Did they say there were any smaller ones hanging around?
I'm sorry I can't really give you any advice apart from what you already know. I was told to eat lots of protein, especially chicken and a pint of milk a day. Sorry Sad
Keep us updated with you next scan. I have my fingers crossed for you xxx

nobeer · 10/03/2014 18:13

Oh no turq. Don't panic, I'm sure the upping of dose will help. I ate eggs every day, and sunflower and pumpkin seeds. As well as meat, cheese and fish. Then I overstimulated - which you don't want! It's in the clinic's interest for you to succeed, so they'll keep an eye on you.

AFM I've got an appointment on Friday to discuss the FET! Period due on Thursday so good timing. Gluten free diet going ok, although wandering around Lidl was torture, loads of yummy looking bread and pastries. Rice cakes aren't quite the same.

Turquoisetamborine · 10/03/2014 19:50

Thanks nobeer and wishwash, what will be will be. I'm doing everything I can. The only other thing I can do is drink even more water which I will do. I've been out for a meal with my mam and H tonight and I had two non alcoholic cocktails while they had beer and wine. I'm trying to be so good. If it works I should know by Friday right? That's my next scan before planned EC on Monday.

They didn't say there were any small follies hanging around but she couldn't see much. I couldn't really understand her accent very well but I understood one follicle.

Nobeer your gluten free diet sounds like torture. What sort of things are you eating?

vallinnapod · 10/03/2014 20:19

Turq - I stimmed for 28 days with my first cycle (DS), 26 for my second and 16 with my third...abnormally long but just to say don't worry!

Turquoisetamborine · 10/03/2014 22:05

Thanks Vanilla so they can change the schedule then? I kind if thought if I wasn't ready for egg collection on Monday that was it cancelled but it would be fine to stim for longer.

I can feel cramping now I've taken the higher dose. Is this what you girls felt like? It's a very specific area with me with only having the uterus and ovary on the left side and zilch on the right. At least I can pinpoint where it is.

BrookerC · 10/03/2014 23:05

Well bloody done moggle! That's fantastic news Smile
wish how are the boobies? Still sore & odd looking I hope.
nobeer great news on the appt. Are you looking to cycle next month? The gluten free diet sounds quite challenging. Well done to Mr N for joining in.
turq I only have one ovary (& tube) too. I was born that way but only discovered when we started infertility investigations. I've always ovulated normally so never suspected. What's your story? Try not to worry too much about your follies at this stage. They will keep you stimming until you're ready & the increase in drugs will help. I've taken approx 2 weeks each time but I seem to take longer than most. My clinic only measure the larger follies & I only had one or two worth measuring at the same stage as you're at. I don't think you can do anymore on the protein front - it sounds like you're doing everything you can. Make sure you get plenty of rest & water. They were the 2 big things for me.
How are you today b4by? Are you having a heavy AF ? Mine has been appalling but has finished now thank goodness - also looking forward to sex over sharing

Turquoisetamborine · 11/03/2014 04:46

Hi Brooker they only discovered my unicornate uterus when I had my Caesarian with my son. I was labouring for three days and he seemed stuck, I now know I could never give birth naturally.

I kept telling them he was all in the left side but it wasn't picked up til afterwards. I was born with one kidney, one tube and one ovary in the left side. I didn't have regular periods before I took metformin but I do while I'm on it.

Nice to meet another freak!!!

wishwash · 11/03/2014 07:45

Ha turq you made me giggle. Freak? You're not a freak. We've all got a quirky weird things e were born with, some more than others but I definitely have one Smile I hope they'll keep you going longer!

brooker hi loverrrrly (i live in the south west so you have to us more R's than necessary)
My boobs are up and down at the moment. I keep having waves of sickness and icky tummy but I think it's the progesterone and oestrogen! Bleh

I was naughty and did a test yesterday. 5dp5dfet. It wasn't my FMU and I got a bfn Sad. I know it's still early but I thought if there's something there I may get a surprise

Turquoisetamborine · 11/03/2014 08:45

wishwash I know I'm only joking. I just could have done without extra complications with my fertility when H has his own problems (undescended testes leading to low sperm count).

I have a feeling that if either of us had married someone more normal in terms of fertility we would have had the three children we crave by now. But we are very happy together. He is being an angel during my treatment, doing all sorts around the house so I can rest. I've sent him off to buy new collars for the cats and weed killer for the garden today. I've found bindweed and was getting all stressed about it.

Anyway, I'm talking crap now. Hope you are all enjoying this lovely sunny weather.

wishwash · 11/03/2014 08:51

I feel the same turq. DP is perfectly healthy even though he lived his teenage/early twenties smoking and drinking heavily all weekend every weekend! (Typical)

I feel that if he wasn't with me he'd have had what he wanted a long time ago. I think it would have been in different circumstances but still! He won't even listen to me when I say things like that, he wants it with me and no one else but it doesn't make me feel any better about it Sad
