The Victoria wing at nuffield hospital woking. They have been really good, all the staff, couldn't fault them at all. Very happy with our treatment there.

resipsa · 02/03/2014 14:31

You've obviously had a good experience which is half the battle. How's the 2WW going?

OP posts:
resipsa · 02/03/2014 14:32

And B4by, how are you?

OP posts:
Turquoisetamborine · 02/03/2014 16:48

Well I'll have the hangover on behalf of everyone else. Had a great night but feeling rough today and I've had three slices of the cake my friend brought me. Grrrr must get back to healthy living. Tomorrow definitely.

Hospital on Tuesday to see if my lining has reduced by 2mm, I've had quite a bit of bleeding so hopefully I'll be stimming from Tuesday. What can I expect from the stimming jabs? Any terrible side effects?

Quite a few in 2ww on here. I can't wait to get there! I'm watching One Born at the minute. I haven't watched something like this is months as i would get upset but I feel like I'm doing something positive at the moment so I'm watching hoping that's me in 9 months time.

moggle · 02/03/2014 17:56

turq you are brave- I have managed to watch this series of call the midwife but OBEM is a step too far at the mo, maybe in a couple of weeks.
So far the 2ww is ok (well 11 day wait I guess, OTD is the 12th). I think it'll be worse at work as I have lots of bits and bobs to do at home but find my job fairly boring...

wishwash · 02/03/2014 18:41

I have a pancake hangover today....

I was doing so well with my healthy eating and now I feel fat and horrible. Healthy eating as of tomorrow now where did i put that 4 pack of smarties

Congrats moggle thats an amazing number of frosties. I thought we did well with 7!! x

Turquoisetamborine · 02/03/2014 20:14

wishwash what did you have on your pancakes? DS has Nutella, I have golden syrup. We have them most weekends. Yum.

BrookerC · 02/03/2014 21:05

10 blasts! Moggle you & DH certainly make very good embryos Smile. Looks good for the one transferred.
How did the beef stew go down nobeer? Did you manage to master the pressure cooker? It's never too early for one for the cook Wink
Oh, Res. I really am driving myself potty. I think it's worse not having the bum bullets as I can't put any symptoms down to them. I'm so glad I've only got 5 more days to go.
turq the stimming is very straight forward & is when the cycle starts to get interesting. It's a whirlwind of scans/bloods & follie growth with EC before you know it. Good luck with the appt on Tuesday. Is there anything in particular you want you know?
A pancake hangover sounds bizarre wish. When are you back at the clinic? Is it this Tuesday also?

Bunnygirlie · 02/03/2014 21:24

Hey brooker congrats on being PUPO! moggle and b4by too?

Yep the sickness is vile but it's what we all want so can't complain too much. Should get my 12 week scan in 3 weeks, scary!

Keeping my fingers crossed for you all!

wishwash · 02/03/2014 22:13

I just have plain old sugar turq and I love it!!! Mmmm. I do love a bit of Nutella too (I'm a child at heart)

I just ate far too many brooker and still felt full and fat in the morning. I want more now though but need to cut out sugar!

It's very quiet on here this weekend

wishwash · 02/03/2014 22:14

Oh and I'm back in for my FET on Wednesday. So happy it's finally happening again but also terrified

B4byPlease · 02/03/2014 22:23

Moggle congrats on all the frosties.

Had quite abit of cramps recently. Well the last 3-4 days really. Hoping it's all snug inside and not AF getting ready to gush out on me, like every other month for the past 5 years! I'm currently on the vag gels,- just gonna say it as it is! Lol ...well I've been told I need to clear it out regular as it can clog, and it did do, but last night when I cleared it, it was pinkish in colour. So hoping that could be from implantation. Has anyone else had this?

cwtching · 02/03/2014 23:27

Hello ladies! I've been away for two weeks. Sorry to miss out on the chat. Moggle 10 frozen blasts is absolutely amazing!! And PUPO!! Congratulations!

All is good this end, I have no nausea but feeling very tired, light headed and look truly dreadful! Bunny which thread have you moved over to? I have my early scan next week (nervous).

Hope you've all had a good weekend! X

WannabeMaryPoppins · 03/03/2014 07:52

Morning All. Sorry for being a bit quiet but we had visitors at the weekend.
Res love the new digs Smile
Moggle 10 Blasts! That is awesome. Do they only free Blastos in the UK. I'm only asking because I'm in Germany and on our last round we had 1 Blasto and 3 morulos frozen.
Turq I'm stimming at the mo so will enjoy your company. I'm taking pergoveris in the morning (stingy f*cker), gonal f in the evening (easy peasy) and as of yesterday centrocide in the morning to stop ovulation (painless but a bit itchy and red afterwards). The first day is the worst and then you sort of get used to it. For the first few days I felt a bit groggy and tired, but that's been it really.
wish get a bit of banana in with the nutella. Then it can count towards your 5 a day!
Brooker only a few days left. Am really really hoping that you'll be leaving this thread asap but in the nicest possible way of course
cwtching and baby hi to you. Good luck with the scans
nobeer morning sweetie. Not long until you get those results now.
wish that has come round quickly. Good luck for wednesday!
Have no idea how you are keeping it together.
Waves to vall, b4by, euro, bunny and anyone else I might have missed.

AFM all good here. Belly looks like a pin cushion and have a scan tomorrow so fingers crossed that the drugs are doing their job.

Bunnygirlie · 03/03/2014 08:37

Glad you found us cwtch

PUPO ladies, once you get that elusive BFP we're over here Smile .....

BrookerC · 03/03/2014 19:01

I've had some amazing news today - my boss is retiring! He would definitely have been a thorn in my side maternity leave wise therefore I am ecstatic! just need this embie to stick now

BrookerC · 03/03/2014 19:07

I was a day out wish - got a memory like a sieve at the minute Blush
Good luck with the scan tomorrow maryp

wishwash · 03/03/2014 19:59

It's been very quiet lately! I miss you all!
How is everyone? I want to hear what you've all been up to even if not ivf related!

I have 1 day at work then I have 2 weeks off funded by DP's family! I really need the time off for so many reasons but mainly because I can't risk being knocked by the children. I can't wait to relax

Turquoisetamborine · 03/03/2014 21:32

Do you work in a school wishwash? I'm ok I had another meltdown today and have cried for a few hours tonight over my dad basically not really giving a shit about me and my brothers since he's got his wife to be. I'm over it now though, he can fuck himself I've got more important things to think about than putting on a huge extravaganza wedding when you are 60 and it's your third wedding. I don't find it dignified since his last wife died a terrible death from cancer a few years ago.

Sorry for the rant, I just feel they are so interested in their wedding they've forgotten that it's just a party and doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of the universe but your kids do.

Turquoisetamborine · 03/03/2014 21:34

Sorry I sound crazy, I'm blaming the buserelin three long weeks on it!

BrookerC · 03/03/2014 21:47

turq sorry that your dad is being so inconsiderate. The buserelin is fucking evil stuff and turned me into a screaming banshee twice. You have my sympathy Flowers. When you start stimming the mood swings will disappear quickly.
wish I have had a friend over for dinner tonight. She is going through a tough time as she gave birth on NYE to her little boy at 25+4. He is now still only 33 weeks & still in the ICU. He has good & bad days but I am in absolute awe at how the staff have been able to keep him going. It really is a miracle. Have you got any distractions plans for how you will spend your 2 weeks off work apart from incessantly googling?

wishwash · 03/03/2014 23:35

I work in a nursery turq as the supervisor of the 2-3 years room. It's a very physical job and I'm very (without sounding dodgy) hands on. I like to pick the children up when they're sad or crawl all over the floor pretending to be a horse with them on my back or lay on my back and lift them with my feet so they can be an aeroplane. It's what makes me the carer I am and the reason I'm so close to all of the children I care for. I tried to go back to work 3 days after my FET last time and constantly had twinges and pulls and felt I wasn't giving the children what they expect from me! I can't do that again so want to have the time off

brooker that sounds so sad but also an amazing story. You're right to be in awe, I would be too. I think if I had the chance again I would have been a children's nurse. I'm starting a psychology honours degree in October so I can think about helping disadvantaged children in other ways! I hope your friend is staying strong for her little boy.

turq buserelin is hideous. I have finally finished it which feels amazing. Don't beat yourself for loosing it about stuff that wouldn't normally bother you, we all need to vent and this is a good place for it!

wishwash · 03/03/2014 23:38

Oh and brooker I haven't quite decided what to do on my two weeks off. On my fresh cycle I watched all 6 seasons of Sons of Anarchy so I think I'll get into another tv series and walk the dog every day. I have a couple of units to shabby chic too so I may get DP to carry them into the front room so I can sand them and maybe paint. Oh I don't know

Turquoisetamborine · 04/03/2014 11:05

I'm in the pharmacy getting my stimming drugs. The hospital told me it would be £744 and they only charged £420. Has anyone else found this happen? Maybe some people need stimming for longer so they quote a higher amount.

Anyway, it looks a bit complicated all the mixing but sure I'll manage. EC is scheduled for 17th March. I'm going to take the whole week off as ET is on the Wednesday and I only work Mon, Wed, Thurs. I'll be glad to get back the next week and take my mind off things.

Sorry for the rant last night. I'm not normally like that!

nobeer · 04/03/2014 13:19

Turq what a nice pharmacist! Maybe they got the generic drugs and not the named ones which made a difference?
