Over here...

B4byPlease · 07/03/2014 15:36

Yea, the hardest bit is just getting through the 2ww! Whatever happens, happens for a reason. Keeping my fingers xxcrossedxx for you.

How's you Brooker?

BrookerC · 07/03/2014 20:25

Thanks everyone.
Feeling mostly resigned, partly raw with the odd bit of fucking fury mixed in
B4by I'm glad work were understanding today & that DH is so supportive. Going through all this really puts your relationship to the test so it's great that you were able to talk things through. What's next for you - are you planning a break or another cycle? I haven't got a clue at the minute. We did plan to have another scratch & start a fresh LP cycle next month but I'm just not sure yet. There's a lot to think about.

AF is so heavy I can't help but think I must have at least been growing a beautifully thick lining. I felt different on this cycle to my fresh cycles too. The symptoms weren't from any meds so I can rely on them a little more.
One strange thing was that I felt very flu like all day Tuesday - could that be an immunes issue perhaps? 5 blastocysts transferred over 3 cycles and not a whiff of a bfp. Hmmm.

Sorry for the me post, will read back & catch up. x

BrookerC · 07/03/2014 20:45

Looking forward to your update nobeer. Glad to hear you are on your way res.
Hope you get some better quality sleep tonight turq. I needed loads when stimming. Are you drinking plenty of water?

resipsa · 07/03/2014 22:08

Hi Brooker - Judy saying hello - hope you sleep.

OP posts:
resipsa · 07/03/2014 22:09

There is, of course, no Judy here - it was juST saying hello!

OP posts:
BrookerC · 07/03/2014 22:32

You been on the sauce res? Grin Think the red wine will help me sleep. In for my waste of time blood test in the morning. Feeling pretty rock n roll about turning up with a hangover may regret it tomorrow

B4byPlease · 07/03/2014 22:59

Drowned my BFN with a bottle of wine, archers and Malibu! And I'm going to drown it even more now with an Indian take out! Roll on AF last day when I can look forward to sex again! (Sorry, bit drunk)

nobeer · 08/03/2014 09:02

Morning ladies, hope you aren't feeling too rough B4aby. That's some cocktail!

Appointment went ok, she said I need to have a gluten free diet until 1st trimester of gestation - I'm trying very hard not to think too much about a life without pizza, biscuits, muffins, etc. Not because I'm coeliac or anything, just be better for me. She also said something about C1 and C2 and uterine receptors, basically I think DP has C1 and C2 but I'm C1 so that means it's more recommendable to only transfer one embryo at a time, so it has more chance of survival. So, on Monday going to ring my clinic and get the ball rolling for the next FET. I'm going to read a bit more about the C1 and C2 thing so I can explain it a bit better!

I started well with the gluten free diet, we went for tapas last night and I had two large glasses of red wine, not beer, and some yummy food! So my mn nn is quite appropriate now! DP said he'd do the gluten free thing in solidarity with me! We'll see how long he lasts, he loves bread and beer!

That's all for me, we're off to the supermarket to see what gluten free stuff they've got, then visiting the inlaws. Have a great weekend all, I'm sending you all some sunshine.

WannabeMaryPoppins · 08/03/2014 12:27

nobeer that sounds really promising. Gluten free is going to be difficult but not impossible and I think it is amazing that Mr N is supporting you all the way
Brooker and B4by am absolutely gutted for your both. I would have gotten absolutely wasted so hope you both have hangovers from hell. What are your next steps? I really hope that you have nice Weekends planned and can spoil yourselves
moggle the 2ww is the worst bit. Can you remind me when your OTD is? I have brain like a sieve
wish I know exactly how you feel and woke up the other night thinking exactly the same. It is just crap. But maybe our next 2ww will be last - lets hope so.
turq how is the stimming going?
Waves to val, res, euro, bunny and any lurkers out there.

WannabeMaryPoppins · 08/03/2014 12:31

I had EC yesterday and the last 24 hours have really been a rollercoaster. The procedure was absolutely fine and I actually quite enjoyed going under weirdo Was gutted though to hear that they had only got 4 eggs. As the procedure had been brought Forward I thought there would be more, especially as I had 12 on my last cycle (although that was over 2 years ago). So was waiting anxiously for the call from the embryologist this morning.... and all four have been fertilised so now I am absolutely ecstatic. Had visions of None of them fertilising and having to start all over again. ET is planned for Wednesday so now it is time to rest, relax and enjoy not having to doing anything.

moggle · 08/03/2014 13:11

MaryP wow 100% fertilisation is brilliant, great news!! Do you get another call tomorrow morning? Hope you're feeling ok after EC.

My OTD is Wednesday. Am feeling optimistic today as last night when we were getting ready for bed DH looked at my boobs and said, hm, they look funny. We're out shopping today and he's agreed we can buy a hpt and he'll hide it until we can't wait any longer...

starsandmoonandback · 08/03/2014 13:24

Hi all, just popping on to say how sorry I am to brooker and BAby Hmm It's just so unfair and I'm sure you're both feeling pretty low right now. Hugs to you both.

Fingers crossed for those of you who are Pupo. Hope some more bfp's are just around the corner.

Nobeer, good luck with the gluten free diet. My friend did the same before her 7th cycle, her first FET (immune cycle) and she now has 14 month old twins Smile

MaryP, rock on with your fertilisation.. a great sign of some good embies for transfer. Grin

Sorry I've not been around, still struggling a bit.

Xxx

WannabeMaryPoppins · 08/03/2014 15:46

Keeping evening crossed moggle
Stars nice for you to pop in & see how we are all doing

Yes am so chuffed about the 4. We're using some new fangled method where they use a really powerful microscope to pick out the sperm. Apparently it takes about an hour per sperm & egg. Let's hope that the extra money is worth it

resipsa · 08/03/2014 19:51

Hi Stars Smile.

OP posts:
resipsa · 08/03/2014 19:54

Mary P - 100%! Fantastic. Roll on Weds, eh!

Moggle - if DH has noticed a change, it's definitely a reason for optimism!!!

OP posts:
resipsa · 08/03/2014 19:58

Nobeer - glad you have a plan (of sorts although I have no idea what you're talking about!).

Brooker and B4by - hope you are OK.

Feeling depressed today. Managed to put on 7lbs since my m/c despite thinking I've been watching what I eat. If no BFP this time, I'll need toisr it again (having only done it the first time in October). Another reason to hope, hope, hope for that BFP (and for it to stick).

OP posts:
resipsa · 08/03/2014 19:59

Toisr? WTF? To lose it.

How can it correct to 'toisr'???

OP posts:
wishwash · 08/03/2014 22:38

Hey Smile

Sorry I've not been on for a little while. I've wanted to disconnect from stuff.

Congrats maryp I'm so glad you're chuffed with your embies!!

TMI It'll be 4dp5dt (fet) tomorrow. My brown blood seems to have slowed down. I only see it when the wax from my fanjo bullet comes out and it's tinted creamy/brown. I don't really know what you think. My doc said he's not worried and one min I'm positive the next I know that it's all over.

I have massive boobs, a "heavy" pelvic area and the spotting. I suppose it's just the progesterone

B4byPlease · 08/03/2014 22:47

MPoppins is that IMSI that they are using for you?. My DH has looked into that and he is going to push at our next consultation based on our poor embryos. Apparently is more expensive, so don't know if you can use it on NHS, but we will pay if need be!
Had a whopping hang over this morning!
Then me and DH went shopping and he treated me to a special edition sewing machined from John Lewis. So been making bunting all afternoon:) then we went out for tea.

I really want to just start my next cycle already. How long does it normally take to start again after a BFN?

vallinnapod · 09/03/2014 07:24

Hiya baby I had to wait one cycle between my November one and Jan one, but I had no transfer - I don't think it makes any difference. Some places make you wait two cycles though.

resipsa · 09/03/2014 08:16

Hey Wish. Nice to see you. I had similar 'symptoms' with a BFN and BFP (no spotting, though) so no help, sorry. Fingers crossed for you, though.

OP posts:
WannabeMaryPoppins · 09/03/2014 08:38

Yes B4by it is IMSI. It was recommended to us because of the MFI. Over here in Germany it costs about 120 euros per sperm/ egg & you can have a max of 6 done because the while procedure is so time consuming

Turquoisetamborine · 09/03/2014 08:41

wishwash when do you test?

Baby and Brooker I hope you are both feeling a little better. It's devastating. Sure I'll get to experience that feeling soon, I've got a feeling something's going to go wrong.

I'm still stimming. I have a scan tomorrow afternoon then one on Friday too. I went to acupuncture on Friday Zander she said my temperature was down and I needed to rest and eat protein so I have been trying.

Going to Durham today for a mooch around and some lunch with H and son. I was going to garden today as the garden is huge and needs daily attention from March onwards but have decided that's not a good idea. I'm trying to drink loads of water and am feeling less nauseus.

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday!

Turquoisetamborine · 09/03/2014 08:53

MP hope you are okay too, when do you test? IMSI sounds good for us, we might try that next time if our clinic offers it. Is the infertility care good in Germany?

WannabeMaryPoppins · 09/03/2014 09:04

Turq we don't have anything to compare it to but there are no waiting lists & health insurance covers most of the costs of up to three cycles as they are desperate for people to have kids over here. We have been satisfied with the care so far & it seems quite thorough. At my clinic you go for a blood test after et to check you're hormone levels which helps to break up the 2ww. They also sign you off sick for as long as you want which is great
