OP posts:
wishwash · 11/03/2014 09:01

Your DH sounds lovely turq. As much as I love my DP he's useless Grin

Turquoisetamborine · 11/03/2014 09:17

Things happen for a reason I believe though. We wouldn't have been as happy with someone else even if they were very fertile. So when will you test again wishwash?

Is 5dp5dt the same as 10dpo?

WannabeMaryPoppins · 11/03/2014 10:15

Turq you are so right about things happening for a reason. Really hope that all your efforts are paying off

WannabeMaryPoppins · 11/03/2014 10:16

Wish am sure you have just tested too early. Keeping everything crossed

WannabeMaryPoppins · 11/03/2014 10:19

Well Mr Poppins has redeemed himself big time. DS has come down with a nasty virus & can't go to nursery for the rest of the week so DH is taking him to MIL for the rest of the week so I can rest after ET tomorrow.Grin

WannabeMaryPoppins · 11/03/2014 10:28

Sorry for the cluster posts am on my phone at the hairdressersGrin

wishwash · 11/03/2014 11:16

Yeah I guess it is 10dpo turq. My OTD is Friday (9dp5dt) I'm at 6 today. I'm convinced it would be positive now

wishwash · 11/03/2014 11:34

I mean I'm convinced it would be positive now if it was going to be

WannabeMaryPoppins · 11/03/2014 11:50

That's really early wish. Your OTD I mean. I thought you had to wait 14 days after ET. There's no way i'm going to be able to wait that long now.

wishwash · 11/03/2014 11:53

On a fresh cycle it's 14 days after EC so 9 days after a 5dt Smile this is an FET for me so we're going by transfer which is really weird

WannabeMaryPoppins · 11/03/2014 11:53

& i'm sure I read somewhere that HCG its only detectable after about 10 days after ET. Am still keeping everything crossed that you have tested too early wish.

WannabeMaryPoppins · 11/03/2014 11:55

Well there's no way I'll be holding out until OTD now.

WannabeMaryPoppins · 11/03/2014 12:15

Nobeer have only just seen your post about the appointment on Friday. That is brilliant news & am really pleased that things are finally moving forward for you. Can't believe how patient you have been!

WannabeMaryPoppins · 11/03/2014 12:15

Ok am going to stop hogging the thread nowWink

moggle · 11/03/2014 12:38

wish I only got a faint line on a 10miu test at 8dp5dt. Still this morning (10dp) only a faint line on a 25miu test this morning. You are so not out yet. Hcg levels can vary so much.

BrookerC · 11/03/2014 12:48

Oi turk who are you calling a freak? Grin
It's great to be in good company. I only have my right tube & ovary so between us we have the full set!! A unicornate uterus sounds much cuter that I imagine it is .
wish you naughty, naughty lady! At least give it another day or two. You are rather early testing my dear.
maryp I have enjoyed your musings Wink. Hope you're rocking a lovely new barnet.

BrookerC · 11/03/2014 12:54

My clinic test 14dpEC or 9dpET (for 5 day embryos) for frozen via a blood test (not Poas).

nobeer · 11/03/2014 13:33

Don't want to miss out on the freak fest. I discovered I had a septum in my uterus!

Thanks for your kind words you lovely lot. I'm really hoping to do a cycle next month, but we're going away for Easter week. I was optimistically hoping to do a natural FET in a couple of weeks (!) but I think my period is going to start a day or two early so they might decide to put me on the pill again and regulate it. If it does start early, I might just ring up my doctor and ask her if I should start taking the pill straight away, just so I don't waste any time.

As for DP helping me out on the diet, well he's kindly eating up the gluten bread at the moment, and there's a tin of biscuits to get through Envy
I hope reckon he'll join me on it when that's all eaten up. It's not been so bad, breakfast is hard with the rubbish gluten free toast. But lunch I've just had home made curry and rice, and for dinner I'll have soup. What's hardest for me is the lack of biscuits and having to resist temptation of yummy breads and cakes.

wishwash · 11/03/2014 14:54

Thanks MaryP I hope i tested too early too but..... you know that feeling when you just 'know' its never going to happen for you? That's exactly how I feel and I don't even know why it's not working. There seems to be no reason for it not to work! slams head against wall

moggle you made me feel a bit better. I used a superdug test at 5dp5dt so i'll going to TRY and hold out until thursday....maybe tomorrow? It depends on what I can get DP to agree to

brooker you made me feel very naughty! Meanie skulks off to strop in the corner

nobeer I know how you feel. I was loving having my morning coffee with no breakfast, crisps and chocolate at lunch time then coming home and having tea then more chocolate! Then.... more chocolate! It was tough to cut it out but it was so much easier when I actually started my FET because I had a 'reason' to do it.
I now you have a reason to do it now but it doesn't feel real when you're not in the thick of it. Does that make sense?

A quick random question, at transfer my lining was 12/13mm. With the 4 progesterone bullets and 4 oestogen tablets im taking a day, would my lining just keep building and building? I feel so full in that area and I constantly need to pee!

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 11/03/2014 16:13

Hi everyone,

Sorry I've not been around for a bit, I had a major melt down last week so I've been keeping my craziness to myself.

B4by and Brooker I'm very sorry for the BFNs, it's an absolute shitter. Sending you both lots of love.

Moggle congrats on the BFP Grin

Wish I think you are just too early, I understand that feeling of it's never going to happen but so many egg buddies have felt like that and have gone on to have their babies. It will happen for you x

Nobeer good going on the gluten free, fingers crossed you can get started soon.

MaryP sounds like DH is redeeming himself!

Turquoise I've met a lot of posters who have had to stimm for longer times so try not to worry x

I had my hysteroscopy, biopsy and scratch yesterday. I think it went ok, saw the consultant beforehand who said if all goes ok and I don't hear anything in next 10 days from the biopsy to call and request treatment on my next AF. She also said she would see me after the operation to discuss what she had found. Of course as my clinic is fucking useless she didn't bother coming to see me afterwards. At 5ish I asked one of the nurses to check how much longer the doctor was going to be only to find out she had gone home. I've rung her secretary this morning to ask for a telephone consultation but I won't hold my breath.

To cheer me up DH has booked for us to go to NYC in 12 weeks for our wedding anniversary. I'm now mentalling that I'll get pregnant and not be able to go. Obviously I want a BFP more than a trip to NYC. Anyone flown long haul after a BFP?

wishwash · 11/03/2014 16:53

Sorry cups I've never been on a long haul and never had a bfp Sad

That's really naughty of your doctor! I'd go crazy! Did you complain?

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 11/03/2014 17:01

Wish both DH and I went a little crazy, a doctor came to see us but she was a gynaecologist and has no experience of IVF so couldn't really help. DH has complained to PALS this morning and I've complained to the secretary.

wishwash · 11/03/2014 17:17

Good, I don't blame you. That's unacceptable

WannabeMaryPoppins · 11/03/2014 19:43

Hi cups a trip to nyc marvellous! I had to fly when I was about 6 Weeks. Not long haul but my Dr said flying was not a problem as long as you weren't afraid of flying. She even said that long haul is not a problem as they give you a thrombosis injection which is the main worry when flying long distances. She then added that there are quite a few airlines who let their pregnant stewardesses fly. Have no idea if that is true or not. But really don't think you would have anything to worry about.

Turquoisetamborine · 11/03/2014 20:10

Hi cups sorry your doctor was crap. That's really bad not having a follow up to the op. Hope PALS give him a bollocking! I flew to Spain when I was 20 weeks, I wouldn't have thought you'd have a problem flying to NYC. How exciting to go there. I've only been in JFK airport.
