Morning all.

hope we are all well - kurama hope all is okay.

sarara yes - thank you for remembering! hopefully they'll take me seriously.

cd3 here so just waiting for cd7 so I can start using my opks.

gennibugs · 04/03/2014 08:38

linda sorry about your bfn. enjoy your night out guilt free - unless your bfp comes along before that! :)

bellaboo88 · 04/03/2014 08:59

Did someone mention giving up sweetners? Oh god please say its not true I can't do tea without my sweetner rush!!

My almost daily since ov cramps continued last night, it was a bit stronger. Don't want to get my hopes up...I'm 9dpo today which might have been implantation? Or not!

I'd feel more confident if we had DTD a lot but due to illness & night shift, we might have just caught it. Has anyone had this before? X

RetroHippy · 04/03/2014 09:02

anyone else have the unexpected side-effect of leaky eyes?

We got some good news last night, that will involve pretty big upheavals and decisions. I should have been over the moon and had celebratory sex. What I actually did was felt totally overwhelmed, got really grumpy so I wouldn't cry and picked a fight with DH. I'm so pissed off with myself. CD 12 and we haven't DTD for two days Sad

Now I'm spending today agonising about it.

kurama · 04/03/2014 09:09

I'm going in for a scan today to confirm what's wrong. Pain still no better. almost passed out getting up to go to toilet this morn. It would be great if it worked in my favour I would love twins! Grin we only missed ov day. dtd 3 days before and 2 days after before this kicked in... spent 6 hours in a+e last night they wanted me to stay in but all I wanted was to sleep in my bed with dh and cats. plus all my meds were at home lol. Thanks for all your support Smile

cth1982 · 04/03/2014 09:12

Hi Retro - been feeling really down this week as well - not sure if ovulation is coming or not but could happily sit and cry.

Coming on this board really helps cheer me up though as so many BFP's give me hope that mine might be coming soon and you ladies are great fun and really do make me laugh. I don't really have anybody in RL to talk to this about so this really helps a lot!

RetroHippy · 04/03/2014 09:13

kurama, that sounds awful. I hope it works out the way you want though! Is the pain easing at all? X

RetroHippy · 04/03/2014 09:14

cth, I just feel so silly! I'm welling up for no reason. I dread to think what I'll be like when I actually get pg!

spinningirl10 · 04/03/2014 09:15

Good luck today kurama.

Congratulations lemon and queenieGrin

I poas this morning and got a bfn. Think I'm 10dpo so will continue to poas until af arrives at the end of the week!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 04/03/2014 09:16

Kurama I really hope the scan goes well today. I'm so sorry you're in so much pain.

lindamagoo · 04/03/2014 09:19

Retro try not to feel too down about not dtd for 2 days, I think the little swimmers can survive for about 4 days so you should still be covered Smile

broodysnoopstie · 04/03/2014 09:20

Hello all I joined this bus back in Feb my stats are on but I've been quiet trying to make the month go faster and deal with busy RL. Just wondering if anyone is planning to poas this weekend? my Bfp is due on the 9th.. I always like a poas buddy! Smile

lindamagoo · 04/03/2014 09:20

Kurama I hope you are ok, let us know how your scan goes x

MrBsMrsB · 04/03/2014 10:30

¡buenos días Ladies

kitty lool.... no worries, I too am a skim reading culprit. Feel free to update stats whenever you want. I just dont want to bombard us all, everyday..... SO maybe I'll do it on the even days of the month..hmmmm

Congratulations allthequeens Please stay with us and share anything that you have done this month that you think may have helped with your BFP. Infact, can all the BFP ladies give me us a few tips on what they think may have helped this month

Welcome Zermatt, when is your BFP due, so we can add you to the stats.
Jones I think I may have lost the plot.... I defo saw a post from you but i cant find it in order to update the rollcall.

Kurama so sorry to hear about your hectic night at A&E. I'd say get some rest and like English said, maybe our had multiple eggs released Grin

Lemon I'm no expert, I would say defo get to the GP.

I tried out the Conceive Plus yesterday even though I'm 10dpo and it seemed ok.

Has anyone got any advise on exercise and ttc? I used to get alot of exercise done, but when DH and I first thought about ttc,mid last year (only started counting cycles this year) I slowed down came to an absolute halt . I've put on a fair amount of weight now and haven't got my bundle of joy to blame it on just yet.... so I've decided that I cant stop keeping fit because I'm ttc and have hit the gym fairly hard over the last 3 weeks.
As foolish as it probably sounds, I was scared that if I did get pg and ran/cycled/stepped before implantation, that the bean wouldn't stick obv from the running/cycling/stepping motion

I'm no Usain Bolt/Jessica Ennis/Mo Farah, but I'll probably go back to working out 4-5 times a week. Any advice on times when I should/shouldn't exercise, how much is safe etc would be useful and for the ladies who have dc or have just had their BFPs, do you/did you exercise often?

I am so sorry for the length of this post

EnglishGirlAbroad · 04/03/2014 10:49

MissMrs, with regards to exercise I think just go with what feels comfortable to you. Don't over do it. But being for and healthy can only be a positive in my eyes.
Although my reflexologist yesterday told me to avoid doing too many ab crunches that involve me lying on my back, as the scarum (lowest part of back) is directly linked to your uterus. Interesting. Lots of plank type exercise for me now then!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 04/03/2014 10:54

Oops! That post was obvs for MrBsMrs! Not MissMrs!! Blush

Zermatt · 04/03/2014 11:05

Hey MrsB, I think my BFP is due on 19 March, thanks :)

In regards to exercise, I go to the gym about 3 times a week and run about 5k on the treadmill and I also do yoga. I was under the impression it's ok to carry on exercising while ttc and even ok to still run when you're pregnant (early on) as long as you are already an exerciser/runner so you're physically used to that kind of exercise, and don't go too crazy (jog rather than sprint). That Nell McAndrews ran marathons while pregnant (actually I may have just made that up - don't quote me on it) I think as long as you don't go nuts and over do the crunches, planking and chin ups, you should be fine as long as it's your usual physical routine. But I am not a medical doctor (only a doctor of the sexy)

gennibugs · 04/03/2014 11:23

MrBsMrsB I could have written your post about exercise myself - I was a real gym bunny and gave up when we started TTC in 2012. Ive also been comforting eating so am a little chubster. So am hitting the gym/pavements from today. I think as long as you dont overdo it - its fine. My GP didnt seem bothered when I spoke to them this morning about it - in fact he advised (really nicely) that getting the weight offIve put on can only help matters. He was very tactful though about it. Grin

The GP appointment went well, he was not my usual doctor but was really nice. He is sending me for my day 21 bloods and after that for an ultrasound.

Im a little confused about these day 21 bloods - is it literally day 21 of your cycle? What if your cycle is a few days here and there each month? Anyone have any words of wisdom on the best day to try and target?

EnglishGirlAbroad · 04/03/2014 11:27

Genni, from what I've gathered I think it's supposed to be done 7days prior to AF. Bit hard if you're not regular though ..

RetroHippy · 04/03/2014 11:30

Ooh, Genni, a question I can answer!

Day 21 bloods are in fact, 7 days before AF tests. So if you usually have a 35 day cycle, they would be taken on CD 28.

So if you have an irregular cycle and no idea when AF is due then it's a pain in the ass. Another poster advised pushing for tests on regular dates each month, that way they can pick up on patterns.

I think it can be taken a couple of days each side though, so if your cycle is vaguely regular then you should be ok.

sazzlehopes · 04/03/2014 11:46

Mama - sorry the docs wasn't quite what you were afterl. Surely 5 months is worse case senario? If not that is a crazy wait. Can you ring them direct and see if that is true? Also defo chase up DH SA...that really shouldn't take longer than a week to come back. FX crossed you get your bfp soon though and you don't need any of this stuff! x
But i was laughing my head off at the idea that you suggest to DH that he gets a dragon tattooed on his penis. Hilarious to see how that conversation would go....

Star and Retro - i too was pretty lame on the cm front but i did take the venos (ryhmes with penis) cough mixture the month i got upduffed, and it definitely increased it. Not loads, but i did noticed more...so you never know! I took a spoonful morning and night up to ov when i remembered!

Toots so sorry af arrived. All very odd, but hope this next cycle is sorted and you get your bfp soon.

missmrs glad your first day back was ok. We were defo in the trying camp. There was plans, charts, systems, monitors, reflexology the lot!! And i managed to get a bfp...I think 'not trying' for some helps, but for me it didn't. Everyone is different x

Good luck Kurama

Spinning fx crossed it is too early for you.

MrBsMrsB · 04/03/2014 11:51

Zermatt, English, genni Thanks for the advice.

I guess I can keep it up then. Like I said... I really am no sprinter/long distance runner.I'll keep up what I've always done, 2-3 miles thrice a week and indoor cycling.

genni your doctor should have a word with me, usually around cd1-cd7 would be ideal

Thanks for the link Zermatt - I think i can correctly say that the my pre-counting cycles and the 3 I'm on now have nothing to do with my lack of exercise. The article did suggest to do some lower impact training as you can do these into early pregnany, so I'll swap one or two runs for the eliptical... We'll see

I've found that ttc has changed alot of my habits 1. Exercise, 2. Buying clothes who knows I may not fit into them in a few months 3. Eating seafood who knows, I may be pg as we speak and don't want to ingest mercury 4. Alcohol consumption

What has ttc made you change about yourselves?

missmrsmummy · 04/03/2014 12:04

MrsB I have been worried about exercise too! I love Zumba but have avoided it on certain days of my cycle due to the vigorous booty shaking that's involved! Sure to make it impossible for a bean to stick?!

Day 2 back at work was a success Grin loved having my class back and they worked hard for me. Phew, I can do it!

Operation 'not trying too hard for a baby it trying quite hard for a December baby so my brother can meet it' is going well.

Ov was due yest according to my app (CD12) or tomorrow according to my 'normal' cycle but I think it may have happened on Sun (high cervix and ewcm). Started Dtd on Sun and going to do it every day this week.

Last cycle my cervix was high but then I ov'd quite a few days later (maybe due to stress) so need to make sure we cover all bases in case that happens again. I have ordered some ic opks to use towards the end of the week so we can stop DTD unless I get a positive one.

Annoyingly, I ordered preseed but it's not here yet and I think I have already ov'd! Sure it'll come in handy after a few days of DTD as I seem to produce less cm after a while!

At the mo, I'm worried that I may have hostile cm TMI ALERT but DH tells me it tastes a bit acidic. Eek. I hope I'm not killing the spermies! Apparently you can drink lemon juice to help?! Any other tips on that?

gennibugs · 04/03/2014 12:12

Thanks English and Retro that makes sense so will try to count back 7 days from my next AF and see. im sure if the results arent right I can go again...
