Hi all.

I'm ready to hop on the bus after a short break from leaving the last one.

I'm ttc #1 and this is cycle 8. I'm currently cd9 so gearing up for the dtd marathon Grin Bfp/af due 24th.

I've also been booked in to have day 21 bloods, but the doc didn't even ask if I was regular or not (luckily I am-usually).

I'll keep my fingers crossed for BFPs for everyone this month!

missmrsmummy · 04/03/2014 12:23

Welcome back mango! You're on the lucky bus Grin

3isourmagicnumber · 04/03/2014 12:29

Hi ladies
Broody I'm due my bfp 9th also and started poas this morning which was ridiculous as I'm only 9dpo and they were cheap tests so of course I got a bfn. The problem is I have started now so will prob do everyday till I get AF or hopefully a bfp haha.

I also have stupidly stopped the exercise this month and have put loads of weight on which isn't good. I normally run 15 miles a week over 4 sessions and have done nothing. Might wait and see what this months outcome is and if bfn start running straightaway and if bfp I don't know what to do anyway will wait and see what happens.

Good luck to anyone poas today. And good luck for gap and hospital appt today. Will be checking in later to see who they go xx

lindamagoo · 04/03/2014 12:33

MrsB the things I've changed are my diet, I'm not hugely overweight but could do with losing a bit to aid conception, finding it a little hard as I have an underactive thyroid (developed in first pregnancy) but I'm getting there and I'm reluctant to buy new clothes also, spent a fortune on an outfit for next weekend and I'll probably/hopefully never wear it again x

bellaboo88 · 04/03/2014 12:35

Broodysnoop, I'll be your poas buddy!!

I'm 9dpo, how far are you? I'm super tempted to test Friday as its 8th & 13dpo (fave number & significant number if u get me!) Where as 9th is dads birthday...my parents both looked at my stomach earlier, I think they know were trying....it would be the best gift in the world to tell my mum on mothers day! Trying to hold out, only 1 test & not buying more!X

P.s. heard you're not allowed eggs once yr prey unless hard boiled?? So does that mean my preg friend can't have pancakes? X

EnglishGirlAbroad · 04/03/2014 13:29

The eggs cook with the pancakes Bella.... they'll be safe. I think the egg things is also only as a guide - in case you get salmonella. I'm sure if the eggs are fresh you'd be fine regardless.

lindamagoo · 04/03/2014 13:34

Bella if I remember right I think it's just raw egg like in mayonnaise but I still had Mayo when I was pregnant Smile

CagedMango · 04/03/2014 13:44

Hi Missmrs! We could all do with some luck after last month.

PunkyPod · 04/03/2014 14:18

Hi mango looks like we're cycle twins. Lets hope for some mega good luck. I think i'll start the opks tomorrow although i know when i ov because the cm is so noticeable. I like piac and dunking a stick though so i suppose i'll just start to make myself feel good (the weirdo that i am!)

Bella - pancakes are fine. it's just raw eggs you need to be careful about. however with the strick rules/regulations in the UK the risk of salmonela is incredibly low. I steered clear in my first pregnancy but then at the end just had a runny egg. It was yummy!

What have i changed? I suppose that DH and I have both done a bit of a health kick this month. We got married in January so after the wedding kind of gorged ourselves on whatever we fancied. I am a size 10 but i just feel a bit squishy around the edges so am trying to be a bit more sensible in the interest of my health but also ttc purposes. I'm taking the folic acid every day and snacking on fruit/nuts. Other than that not a lot has changed. DH takes his vits (include zinc to make his swimmers fit).

Hope we hear of another bfp today :)

missmrsmummy · 04/03/2014 14:54

MrsB and other fitness peeps, here's an article about exercise and pregnancy:

www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2548151/How-Olympic-champion-Jessica-Ennis-train-safely-DURING-pregnancy-make-mother-comebacks-Rio-2016.html#comments

Is it wrong that I feel Envy reading this? She said her pregnancy was 'unexpected'. Mine is very much expected. Where is it? Lol.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 04/03/2014 15:03

Hi all loving all the bfp's this month! Smile. Sadly I'm not gonna be one. AF got me sun so get another shot on march bus.

Zermatt · 04/03/2014 15:10

So far I have changed;

A) by caffeine habit

B) my wine habit

C) my sweetner habit

D) my sex habits (quantity is king, quality is a poor cousin)

E) my vitamin intake

F) diet (more fruit, veg, nuts, seeds, weird Chinese herbs that smell like cat poo)

PosyFossilsShoes · 04/03/2014 15:11

I've just bought some books about exercise in preg! Like others here I've basically avoided the gym during every 2WW because I made the huge mistake of reading some awful american website which said that anything fun can affect implantation - including orgasm!! I suspect that they have an outlook that sex is only for procreation and wimmins shouldn't have fun during sex anyway though. And I've put on nearly a stone while TTC because of the dual joys of no exercise and comfort eating.

I'm going to try to get to the gym tomorrow but I have been stupidly paranoid about exercising while TTC and unsurprisingly I'm equally paranoid about dislodging Little Blasty* while the odds of unsticking are still so high.

*this is what DP has nicknamed our blastocyte Grin

PosyFossilsShoes · 04/03/2014 15:12

*blastocyst that should be

GeorgieWilson · 04/03/2014 15:28

Thanks for the hot chocolate Spotti. I'm enjoying it today before I give up chocolate, crisps and bread for lent.
Glad the appointment went ok Mama, fx you won't need that appointment though.
Wow 6 BFPs already, congrats ladies. Such a lucky bus!

Spotti · 04/03/2014 16:02

Broody I will be POAS on Saturday if you wanna be buddies? Tbh I'm not really expecting anything this month (not sure why but I just don't feel pregnant not that it made any difference the last 2 times when I could have sworn I was upduffed!).

I very naughtily (is that a word?) might have ordered some IC HPTs and OPKs from amazon...hopefully they will arrive soon and hopefully I won't need to use the OPKs but like I said, I don't think this is my month so I probably will end up being a POAS addict by the end of next month!

RetroHippy · 04/03/2014 16:07

I am currently munching on a smoked salmon sandwich. Because of course in a couple of weeks I won't be able to...

PosyFossilsShoes · 04/03/2014 16:13

Retro the NHS reckons smoked salmon is okay and fresh should be limited to two portions a week - it's just swordfish, marlin, shark and fresh sushi that are off the list altogether.

kurama · 04/03/2014 16:18

Back home now. Not in as much pain as this morn but no idea if pain is going or just the mega strong painkillers have kicked in.... They think it is over stimulation but it's only on one side not normal and the pain last night was probably a cyst rupturing as one side is quite enlarged with fluid round it. They wouldn't let me eat at all today in case I needed surgery. thankfully I don't but still had a panic attack when surgeon walked into my room! still hoping I may have got lucky despite everything but we shall have to wait till 15th to see and I pray it doesn't happen again next monthSad

RetroHippy · 04/03/2014 16:36

Posy, damn, that's my weekly swordfish and marlin surprise off the menu!

In other news, got a positive OPK today Grin. However, despite copious amounts of Benylin my cm appears to be... Well, gloopy. About the consistency of PVA, but not stretchy. Lots more water for me...

RetroHippy · 04/03/2014 16:40

kurama, glad the pain is under control and you don't need surgery. Fx that it was a good egg being released (rather forcefully) and it won't happen next month as you'll be pg!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 04/03/2014 16:52

Just keep DTD retro! That's all you can do!!

Kurama, glad the pain has subsided. Is that common for clomid to have that kind of reaction? Jesus! You poor think!! Hopefully you'll get your BFP though and won't have to go through it again!

missmrsmummy · 04/03/2014 16:58

Glad you're home and ok kurama

Yay for your smiley Retro and yes drink lots of water! I'm doing the same with lemon juice in. Have you got preseed or similar?

KittyVonCatsington · 04/03/2014 16:59

Interesting reading about the exercise worries. I'm sure that it doesn't make a difference but i think it is the fact that it could be something to 'blame' if something goes wrong and that's why some might suggest to reduce it during TWW and beyond.

I went to Pilates (going twice a week for 6 years, so not new) last Tuesday and the next morning got my bleed. Of course, in my irrational state, I blamed it on Pilates until I did some more research and realise it would not have made any difference. But it's hard to not think about it!

I remember my Reflexologist saying they recommend sessions before ovulation but that is only in case they get blamed if something happens during implantation. therefore, I'm going to continue with exercise as normal, Posy-even during the TWW and beyond!

Hi Caged Mango!

KittyVonCatsington · 04/03/2014 17:02

I second what RetroHipy said, kurama-the pain might mean an egg was being realeased so let's hope the swimmers caught it! Hope you're not in too much pain now Thanks
