The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

viper gorgeous here in the East Midlands this morning. Actually got washing on the line! Hellooooo spring :) good luck for Wednesday xx

Do you ladies think it might be possible that my AF has tagged herself on to my mc bleeding? My mc bleeding had almost stopped the other day but now I have more period type blood and it's a bit heavier than I was used to. Very flipping odd all this shizZel!!

Justonemoretime · 09/03/2014 11:33

Broody, sorry you're still bleeding. I'm afraid I have read that you need about 21 spotting free days before you can be certain the next bleed is a genuine period. Sad Hope what you are getting now is the last of it.

broodylicious · 09/03/2014 12:27

I hope so just, I'm totally sick of the sight of blood! And it's costing me a fortune. Reckon I should probably have shares in proctor and gamble or whoever it is who makes these bloody things! Wink

Justonemoretime · 09/03/2014 12:48

If it's still going on after 4 weeks, see your GP. Also, when this happened to me, I was advised against using tampons, and to stick to towels due to risk of infection. I hope everything returns to normal soon.

broodylicious · 09/03/2014 12:56

Yeah I had same advice - feel bad for dd as she is desperate to go swimming again but I can't just yet. He did say to go to doc if I'm still bleeding after two weeks though because I lost everything in those first few hours then he took final tissue out with a d&c so there shouldn't be much left. I'm just so impatient, I want it over and done with. A

Viperama · 09/03/2014 18:08

My mate formally known as pregnant just gave birth to a girl. So happy for her but so sad as well. Very mixed emotions right now, think I'm going to have to let those settle before seeing them or I'll be a flood of tears when I meet her. And they'll wonder what the f is wrong with me. Poop

broodylicious · 09/03/2014 18:31

Hugs viper Know what you're feeling like. It's so difficult isn't it, balancing our raw and sore emotional turmoil with being genuinely pleased for loved ones? Life is very testing. You're not alone though hun xx more hugs xx

Parsley2506 · 09/03/2014 18:45

Hello all, just checking in. Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend in the sunshine!
MrP and I had a lovely weekend away, my shonky old organs decided to play ball and got Peak on CBFM yesterday and today so the gourmet TITH was all for a (hopefully) good cause.

Really not loving the idea of a day in the office when it's so lovely and sunny tomorrow!

Me too viper. My friend who told me she was pg the day I had my MC confirmed (she didn't know about MC when she told me) had a little boy during the week. I am really pleased for her but it hit me I would be going on mat leave now. I will leave it a few weeks before I see them and hope that my impending due date isn't weighing too heavy Sad

sebsmummy1 · 09/03/2014 19:19

Ooooh Parsley I long for a peak on the cbfm, I am VER jealous Angry

Well I have a bucket full of EWCM, I'm thinking of starting my own lube factory Grin. I don't know if it means anything good as I have nothing close to a peak reading on opks and back in the day when I used to get a ton of EWCM I also used to get a ton of bfns. I'm trying to stay postive though. Cycle two and my body is at least attempting to ovulate. I guess that's good.

sebsmummy1 · 09/03/2014 19:23

Broody you have my sympathies. I too am totally sick of the sight of blood. It's SO fucking boring.

I would say that it's not your period no, although mine did come with 16 blood free days and not 20. I think your body is spring cleaning your uterus and possibly your hormones are rebalancing again (can't remember if you tested neg on an hpt test).

I think they start to worry if the bleeding continues to be heavy for a prolonged time and if there is any foul smelling discharge on signs you have a fever.

From what I've read exhaustedly it is normal to bleed on and off for anything up to 6 weeks.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 09/03/2014 19:38

Hey Ladies, just checking in. Hope you've all had a lovely weekend, enjoying the sunshine. Its been beautiful here in Amsterdam. Still no peak on cbfm and still got a cervix which would imply ovulation so fx. I've stopped taking the vitex as read a few people ovulated a few days after stopping it! Hope i do soon.

Sorry to those who are still bleeding, think I got off lightly there. But mother nature made up for it with fucked hormones! You win some, you lose some. Hope this coming week brings answers, hormone balance and hopefully some bfps! Smile

LaceyLee · 09/03/2014 20:20

Hi all, hope you all had a lovely weekend in the sun. Broody I did talk to a doctor when, after my last mc the bleeding got heavier again and he said it could be my period. Don't quite see how that works but you never know. Fx for ov soon English.

On day three of AF now and it has been stupidly light, Just two days of light flow and now just spotting today. Got told in jan that my womb lining was very thin (had been bleeding for aaages by then so feeling your pain those of you sick of seeing blood). So now I'm worried that my lining is still very thin or I have ashermans from my d&c!! I'm probably over thinking tho aren't i!

sebsmummy1 · 09/03/2014 20:39

Would you believe my bastard neighbour fucked up what was turning into a bloody marvellous bd session. Instead it turned into a rather lacklustre slightly limp affair because of him fart arsing around with his multiple vehicles on full beam whilst we were infront of the window which has no curtains ehem (we haven't been in this house long Blush

So it went from 'do me hard baby' to both of us squealing and laying on the floor of the bedroom sniggering. God knows how my poor DP managed to recover any form at all. I must sort out a sodding curtain rail for the bedroom and stop putting it off.

Justonemoretime · 09/03/2014 20:42

Lacey, I understand why you are worried about Ashermans, but you're probably fine. I was REALLY worried about it this time last year when I had only 2.2mm thickness on a mid cycle scan. I was about to undergo more tests when I got pg with my 3rd (sadly lost her - Turners Syndrome). Anyway, I ended up getting a hysteroscopy at St Mary's for my RMC investigations and they looked for scar tissue but found none. My short AFs seem to be 'one of those things' and I have heard that lots of ladies get it after MCs. I've been having acupuncture since August and had a scan on Friday and was getting between 5-7mm thickness. Still thin, but I think the acupuncture is working. Or its taking that long to recover. Or its down to emotional trauma which I am recovering from. Either way, short and light AFs don't necessarily mean ashermans. That really is rare, and even if you do have a little scaring, it can be repaired. They take it out, and put a coil in and give you and month of HRT and then you are as good as new. Try not to google it. That way madness lies....

LaceyLee · 09/03/2014 22:59

Ooh thanks just that's really interesting and helpful. Yes I'm sure you're right. It's also probably about patience and waiting for things to get back to normal which is something I'm bad at. Glad to hear you're getting good results with the lining as well, gives me hope Smile

Seasides · 10/03/2014 07:14

Temp drop this morning, right on cue for af's scheduled arrival on wed. That makes this month's Fake Symptom To Fuck With My Head having sore boobs from ov to af.Thanks body! Never the same two months in a row-it's nice of me to keep myself guessing.

Parsley2506 · 10/03/2014 07:21

seasides YNOTTWS. (Longest acronym so far?!?).

I am in hay fever hell. Anyone know of anything that's safe to take while ttc?

OP posts:
sebsmummy1 · 10/03/2014 07:24

Seasides it's not over till it's over chick. I'm sure I've read where the temp has dropped then recovered again the next day and continued to rise. I am going to stay positive for you until witch does or doesn't appear xx

I got a near to peak stick on the cbfm this morn. The oestrogen line has gone really faint and is the same colour as the luteul hormone line. Obviously for the cbfm to scream peak the LH line has to be darker, and because i have a short surge that doesn't happen. So I've got some separate tests to go this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon of need be to see if I can actually catch peak. Regardless I have been doing the sex which is probably more useful than seeing lines Grin

Triplespin · 10/03/2014 08:23

seaside aww it's not over till the witch arrives. Hope its a case of just a blip in your chart.

sebs seems like you are getting close to the peak. I think for some people it never shows up exactly as dark as the control, if I am not wrong.

Waiting here at EPU to determine the location of the pregnancy and decide on whether to go for erpc or wait for natural. Lots of happy, smiley faces here, sigh. Any advice though on natural versus erpc choice? Since I am so early, I was thinking natural mc may not be very painful but I guess it depends on when my body actually realises it is not pg for me to mc.

Seasides · 10/03/2014 08:47

Thanks ladies - I was trying to stay positive, but she arrived just after my shower. She's early, I'm only 11dpo! So the agnus castus isn't a miracle LP cure after all. 11 days is too short. CUTO and on we fuck, but my metaphorical tits are feeling as small as my physical ones right now. Going back to full dose agnus c and going to start taking vit b6 also. More snake oil...

Oh triple, here's me banging on and you're having the shittest of mornings. I'm so sorry. I hope it was in the right place, and your appointment goes as well as it can in the circumstances. Hugs xx

Think I'm going to borrow my friends cbfm this month - I never get darker lines than the control on ic opks sebs, it's maybe the same with them? Well done for all the just in case TITH!

sebsmummy1 · 10/03/2014 08:50

Oh gosh Triple I am so sorry Sad. I'm not sure how my hospital operates but I didn't have to sit with happy pregnant ladies, perhaps the waiting area was more spaced out or maybe I was too preoccupied to notice. I do think it's cruel when they seem to just bunch everyone together when some people are obviously having a terrible time.

Personally? I think if I knew I was going to miscarry but it could take weeks and they offered me some intervention to speed the process up, I would accept the intervention. If however a natural miscarriage was already in process (in my case). I would let nature take it's course.

Hand holding here, I'm so sorry you're going through this.

broodylicious · 10/03/2014 08:52

Thinking of you triple xxx it's a personal decision and one I didn't get to make as I mc naturally with very little symptoms leading up to it. I was 12 weeks but I still wasn't in much pain, physically anyway, and baby and most of related tissue was passed within three hours. Horrific as it was, and as I've said I'm hating the bleeding, I'm pleased I didn't have to go through anything medical. But I hate medical intervention, drugs etc (unless necessary) at any time anyways so it all depends on what your preferences are. It's a toughie, hun,at such a shitty time. Hope you're not kept waiting with the smug bastards for too long [hugs] xx

HollyBen · 10/03/2014 09:08

So sorry your going through this again triple. As the others say it is a very petsonal thing. I have had 2 erpcs as my body doesn't seem keen to do it naturally. First time I bled for a week and a half before erpc, 2nd almost 4 weeks and still no sign of things progressing. First time it was a shock (10 weeks loads of symptoms) and I just wanted to get it over with. 2nd it took 4 weeks to confirm. I wasn't keen on the tablet option as there are no guarantees on how quick it works and I didn't want to be home with DD waiting. in some way I felt I was in control with the erpc. Whatever happens choose what is best for you. Big hugs xxx

Metalhead · 10/03/2014 09:10

Also thinking of you here triple, I hope you get seen soon.

For me, I chose the ercp because I just wanted the whole thing to be over with as quickly as possible. Unfortunately I had to wait 5 days for the procedure, during which time I started to mc naturally and passed the sac and everything at home, though I still had the ercp afterwards to get rid of the remaining tissue. The natural process wasn't too painful, but I found it very unpleasant passing huge chunks of tissue (sorry if TMI). I was about 10 weeks by then, though the bean had stopped growing around 6 weeks. The ercp was absolutely fine, hardly any pain afterwards and only light bleeding for a few days followed by some spotting. I would chose it again if it ever came to it.

Sorry for AF Seasides, not a good start to the week.
