Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

Aw sorry you're homesick Lala. We lived in England for a while and I was a bit homesick too. How long have you been there? If you find some good mates that will help. (Easier said than done).

I don't really get HIMYM. I think BBT is quite good but don't really watch it. I feel like I should know what Inner Space is but can't quite remember. My memory is worse than shite (I also love a good swear. I have edited so many messages on here because I realised they were laced with profanities and I didn't want to offend anyone!)

Mich that's funny about your family. I think I would feel like that too. Although wouldn't mind having a babysitter close by.

RPopz · 19/03/2014 21:51

HIMYM is one of those programs I really don't want to like! But its on E4 after Hollyoaks so I usually end up watching it and I secretly quite like it ;-) Only watched it in a haphazard order though so not too clued up on it. I love the Lily and Marshall story though, how they split up and got back together to live happily ever after... its pretty much what me and DH did ?

Camera up the bum doesn't sound great!!

DulcetMoans · 19/03/2014 21:54

Well that just took me am age to catch up with. You viroids can talk a lot in one day and very rudely work is getting in the way of my reading. By 'getting in the way' please read 'slowly trying to kill me'...

I watch both BBT and HIMYM and like both bit never see them in order so get confused. It's just whatever is on telly.

I don't think a Christmas baby is on the cards for us. DH has fucked his back up so hasn't even touched me this cycle. Far from ideal! Trying not to moan but as icing time gets closer and feel more tense.

Good luck tomorrow min!

lala5 · 19/03/2014 22:11

dulcet can you tell him to take one for the team and suggest he lies back and think of england? Seriously though - feel your pain, mine works shifts and double shift is ALWAYS ovulation day - aaaah!

Minion · 20/03/2014 07:00

Oh I heart HIMYM and BBT but I think BBT slightly has the edge.
I have a thing for nerds. Well husband has said he will accompany me to docs, I told him he doesn't need to but he won't be swayed!
Appointment is 9:30.
I'm comforting myself with, if it was mega serious, ie the big one, they would have called me in straight away.
There's so many ovarian cancer stories around right now and it's right freaked me out.
However, I'm pretty sure it won't be that.

ZingSweetCoconut · 20/03/2014 07:16

good luck today minion!

RPopz · 20/03/2014 07:34

Good luck again Minion. Glad you've got some moral support with you x

Chococroc · 20/03/2014 07:38

Hello, can I join? I've been lurking for a few weeks....

I'm 31, TTC #1, on cycle 1.

Started TTC early March '14, although made the decision in Oct '13 but as a type 1 diabetic I've had to work closely with the hospital team to get my levels right and was only given the 'green light' this month.

Hello!

somethingwittynot · 20/03/2014 07:44

Good luck min

Hello choco

I caved and tested early. So stupid! Got a great big fat.... evap line! Stupid tests. 9 or 8dpo here not really any symptoms. ERTD due in 3 days.

RPopz · 20/03/2014 08:04

Hi chococroc, great name ;-)

Naughty naughty, something!! (I was tempted yest and I'm about 4dpo....) You're not out of the game yet x

somethingwittynot · 20/03/2014 08:27

I bet this is the month ERTD is late and by the time ive got a decent test and got home it will of come. Just like 2 months ago. At least I now have a first response in my cupboard ready

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 20/03/2014 08:47

Good luck today Min I'll be thinking of you.

Welcome Choco, fingers crossed it won't take you long now you've decided to start trying.

Still to early Something, save that First response for a few days

somethingwittynot · 20/03/2014 09:02

Im just going to wait for ERTD to show. Im usually like clockwork so we shall see

Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 20/03/2014 09:06

Yeah how bad is his back Dulcet? If he's still walking I reckon he can take one for the team. If he is screaming every time he moves maybe not...

Good luck Min, fx all goes well.

Hi choco. That's rubbish you've had to wait so long to get the green light. Hope all goes smoothly from now on.

Aw something. Here's a mini hooya for testing early. Give it 4 days and try again if the witch doesn't turn up.

I have another headache and dodgy tummy. Sigh.

Minion · 20/03/2014 10:58

Well I'm back and would like to flick the GPs receptionist on the nose.
She gave me the wrong bloody info. The fsh and oh levels are fine, it is the thyroid level which needs re looking at.
So have to have some more day 21 tests and tack a thyroid blood test on to that too.
So freaking relieved I can't tell you. I really thought I'd screwed our chances up.
Now into icing week so it's all systems go go go! X
Thank you girls, without your support I would have been an eaton mess x

somethingwittynot · 20/03/2014 11:12

Thats great news min you must be thrilled

Nessalina · 20/03/2014 11:18

Thank f*ck for that! What was the silly moose on reception thinking?! Shock
Great news though Grin

JuniperJones · 20/03/2014 12:25

Yay minion, I'm really glad she was wrong. Not something you expect them to do - all they have to do is read out the Dr's notes FFS!
My friend has thyroid issues and has thyroxine (also seemed to help her get pg).

Hugs and hooyas as required. Is it me or is this slowest week EVER?

ZingSweetCoconut · 20/03/2014 12:39

hurrah minionSmile Thanks

excellent news, very happy for you!

ohfourfoxache · 20/03/2014 12:43

Min that is absolutely fantastic news! So relieved for you!

Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 20/03/2014 13:20

Brilliant news Min. If you get the thyroxine and it helps you get pg, you can supply the rest of us Grin.

You are right juniper, slowest week ever. Awful weather doesn't help.

RPopz · 20/03/2014 13:35

Brill news Min! I've never met a medical receptionist I liked ;-)

Something, I've so done that before... took a test because I was half a day late (!) and AF arrived in the 3 minute window.... d'oh.

Hope you're feeling better Wil?

somethingwittynot · 20/03/2014 13:41

Oh RPopz that really takes the piss doesnt it :(

Today is going so so slow. Terrible 2s dont help either!

lala5 · 20/03/2014 13:48

rpopz that's shite! I got mine an hour just after putting test in bin once dammit.

Hiya choco!

min fab news!

Minion · 20/03/2014 14:20

You're all so fabulous. Thank you x

I've being googling (I know, I know) and it seems it's quite a common problem in fertility so hoping it gets picked up again on the next bloods and they can finally start changing things.
I know I'm possibly grasping at straws but I'm now wondering whether that issue has something to do with the crippling tiredness I have most days.

something and popz yep! been there. Took a test and literally in the same pee stream, ERTD came. Was gutted but it was so typical of me, was funny.

In all defence of the receptionist I think she may have been reading my day 23 results too, which would be mega low as obviously I hadn't iced by that point...either that or she's a raging twit!
