Emotions are running high on this thread. I'm very new to MN and joined BESH first because I liked their attitude and willingness to laugh through gritted teeth at what is essentially a pretty shit experience. As we are ALL women who are presumably struggling with ttc- whether #1 or #5- we all know how terrible the experience is when it takes longer than you'd like. And miscarriage is utterly devastating no matter what.

But the B in BESH is meant to stand for barren, correct me if I am wrong. So those with children really need not even read this thread, right?

If my earlier comment was offensive to you Nordic, I am genuinely sorry. I hope you are ok and very much wish you well with ttc your third

Bugs, I hope you're ok and not letting this upset you too much. You have a big day tomorrow and we could all see you were a bit anxious about it earlier.Hey, aren't we all a bit anxious?!

But we have to laugh- sick sense of humour or not- or else what then? Life goes on and I try to tell myself there is more to life than having children, just in case I can't.

Love and peace

MyNameIsWinkly · 27/02/2014 20:50

Bumpy ride on this carousel, fat old Steve isn't used to this!

Geek, congrats on the wedding date! I love a good wedding.

cletter if you didn't smash up the curtain pole you're doing fine. I tried to pleat some curtains for hanging a few weeks ago, and pulled the strings right out. Had to darn them all back in again. Wasn't happy. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Grub is sticky but the knackeredness suggests it's all going to plan.

Hi everyone else. I don't post here much these days but I find it hard to properly leave because I've had such amazing support and friendship here.

FrankelInFoal · 27/02/2014 22:45

Blimey it all got a bit heated in here didn't it Hmm Hopefully it's all done and dusted now.

I'm off to bed, but just wanted to say the best of BESH luck to Bugs for tomorrow morning, I'll be thinking if you and virtually holding whatever appendage you have free.

Fabuluce · 27/02/2014 23:26

Wowsers, I had one gin (it was bloody luffly too - wish I could remember the name of it), meet some friends and the next thing I see is that it's all kicked off in here. Well you did say the BESH like a scrap Bugs! I hope you're ok lovely, some very strong words have been bandied about by people who seemed to have jumped on a bandwagon. Try not to get bothered by them though lovely and I (as all the BESH will) be with you all the way tomorrow. Let us know the results when you can.

Hest, lovely to see you here tonight. How you doin ?

ControlGeek · 28/02/2014 07:51

Good luck today bugs, what time is your scannage?

euro 28th August next year is the date! Far too early for me to be getting excited, but I can't seem to help myself.

cletterthedishes · 28/02/2014 07:55

Curtain pole javelin successful cheers geek. Curtain hooks less so. Turns out I have mostly the wrong kind. Result is that we now have one curtain. Exciting news about the wedding! A good friend of mine made the cake for our wedding. She's not a pro, or even a regular cake-maker, but she made 2 iced fruitcakes and they were deeelicious. Plus they had a special meaning because of the effort she put into them! Do you know anyone who'd be willing to give it a go?

Hi winkly, thanks for the good wishes. What an arse about the curtain strings. I can imagine you pulling one end and thinking 'Why aren't they pleating?' Smile

Shame that disagreements on MN which should be settled between the people in question so often attract me-too yellers who deliberately escalate it by attacking the whole thread and everyone on it. Such are the hazards of online anonymity. Wouldn't happen IRL. Except on a small-town high street at pub kick-out.

bugs - superskinny every time. Love it. Shamefully. Is it just me, or do the superskinny people always act superior to the 'sizers?

I offer you a plaice of positivity

Yay, well done Bugs!!

I feel like pants. Hmm Droid has arrived and I'm feeling utterly miserable. I've never been one for getting much in terms of PMS but this month I've had hurry boobs, I've had fairly prominent cramping since the weekend, been totes emosh (welling up at pretty much anything sentimental), constantly desperately thirsty, and oh so tired. Went out last night and apart from the one lovely gin I had bucket loads of water. I just couldn't get out of bed this morning, finally made it out at 10, bright red blood but not lots of it, head throbbing, belly cramping like a MTHFR. I feel like I have a hangover. Wtf?

FrankelInFoal · 28/02/2014 11:09

Sorry about droid Fab that sucks Sad I prescribe a hot water bottle and chocolate, oh and of course Gin.

Naughty girls! So what's the deal with deletions? Are you put on the mn naughty list? Can you get barred??

HesterShaw · 28/02/2014 11:43

Oh no. It might just be as a response to the original naughtiness so they can erase all trace of the argument, in a sinister Stalinist rewriting of history.

HesterShaw · 28/02/2014 11:43

Though I think if you repeatedly get posts deleted and are clearly Beyond The Pale, you will get barred eventually.

ALittleFaith · 28/02/2014 11:48

Great news bugs :)

JethroTull · 28/02/2014 12:05

Fantastic news Bugs. Just keep taking one day at a time. And eat cake. Obv.
