Shouldn't do this while at work!!

take care all

Babyfettle - what else is MN for if not for ranting.

My sanity sometimes depends on it!!

My sympathy to everybody who is on the 2WW. I completely understand how you feel (am now on a 2WW of another kind...), but would like to understand better what is going on psychologically that this wait is so unbearable. Maybe this could help to deal better with it.

Babyfettle, you are not ranting. By sharing your story you are empowering us. If one of us will ever get into a similar situation (I hope nobody ever will!!!!!!), we might be able to suggest (or request) a scan at an earlier stage.

desperate2bmum · 27/10/2006 17:02

goodluck edie and d4phne for monday.

hello to everyone else.

thank god its friday this week has dragged so much! cd6 today and a friend has just announced that she is 3 months preggers!
my family are trying to put me off ttc this month, i think they are more aware of my cycle than i am because my mum did "her" dates and said if i got bfp everyone would be on holiday for 2 weeks around the edd. so she then told my grandad and my nan and they are all onto me!

NOBODY i mean NOBODY is going to stop me ttc any month!

anyway my rant is over of to enjoy a nice bottle of wine now with dp and see if i can get some practice bd'ing out of him

have a good weekend! xx

edie123 · 27/10/2006 22:34

Thanks so much to everyone for their support-thanks Uki for saying you will all be there if it goes wrong on Mon!! Need all of you there with me at the doc!! Is that possible???!!!

Babyfettle-so sorry about all that you had to go through. You are right-that junior doc should never have been allowed in such a sensitive area of medcine until he knew at least the basics. A local??!!! Oooouuuccchhhhhh.

THANKS EVERYONE YOU ARE ALL FAB!!! XXX

Did another test yesterday as I just couldn't relax. It was BFN...Oh well. Thnks for everyone's support over an anxious time! Good luck with everyone else. xx

babyfettle · 29/10/2006 08:56

Oh Edie - I'm so sorry

Are you still going to see your doctor tomorrow?

Take care
x

Uki · 29/10/2006 09:57

Hello All
Hope everyone, had a good weekend. I had good but busy one 5 guests, so a bit exhausted.

Edie good luck today, look forward to hearing from you.

Babyf-what a drama to have all that happen to you. I'm sure you know how to demand the best care now though.

Desp2be- I'm a bit shellshocked by your family and their holidays. You don't need that!!!!
Will this be your first baby?

Firstar- sorry to hear you have endo, I imagine that makes ttc a little more difficult. But hopefully a BFP for you soon. It would be so nice if we could all move over from this thread together.
Yes conference is 25th-30th November, and yes it is keeping me busy, but also training myself to be calm, if i get BFP or otherwise. I really don't think i've done it this month, so i will be in shock if i am.

bye for now

Uki · 29/10/2006 10:06

sorry edie
started writting before dinner, {{hugs}} it's hard I thought i may be preg, 2 months ago after m/c and wasn't but now i feel ok about it all.

I told a friend about my ttc and 2ww wait on the weekend she thought I was a bit mad and just said it'll happen - just relax. Made me think yeah, what is the rush, why can't I relax!!!

d4phne · 29/10/2006 12:30

Hi all,
Edie am so sorry to hear but: at least you have clarity now and can try again soon. I am still testing positive but have pretty bad cramps in the evenings. Hope things will sort themselves out during the next seven days. I am sure I am not pg, but maybe it's a very early misscarriage??? I just want my hormones to come down now so that things can go back to normal. Edie, it would help me if you would let me know when AF arrives.

Uki - interesting. I think it is the hormones that want to make one want to get pregnant right away (it's almost like a mania for me -- I don't recognize myself any more...). And I guess with time they go down and I might be more my old self?! At least that's what I hope. I can't tell you how helpful I find it that I found friends who go through similar emotions.
Anyway: I keep my fingers crossed -- sometimes things happen when we least expect them!

OK everybody: This one time: keep fingers crossed for my AF!

desperate2bmum · 29/10/2006 15:10

sorry edie but atleast you know where you stand now and the hormone is out of your system so when you do get A bfp itl be a real one.

uki - i think family means well. but they just want to be here, itl be first grandchild and great grandchild. this will be first baby but 2nd pregnancy.
have worked it out should i get a bfp this month edd will be 28th july...they all go away on 4th august so stillhope

babyfettle · 29/10/2006 16:19

D2BM - know from experience, absolutely no point planning conceiving to make sure birth is at a convenient time - it will happen when it happens and you and they will work round it when the time comes. I had DD at 36 weeks, so if you put it off this month and then have baby at 36 weeks, it will still coincide with their holidays!

I really wish now, I hadn't spent most of last autumn thinking it would be bad planning to have baby while DH was away this summer, as when we finally did conceive at Christmas, I lost it and then ran out of time to even be pg while he was away, so we've basically lost a year - very frustrating.

I would join the vote to ignore your family and concentrate on the difficult part now of getting pg - worry about what happens after the next 8 months once you've managed that part!

Did you have a good weekend practicing

desperate2bmum · 29/10/2006 20:15

thanks baby fettle. nobody can stop me from ttc...not even dp i just cant take "im tired or in the morning" as an excuse!
aslong as me and dp are there for the birth i really dont mind when it happens (well i do asap would be nice!!)

have had a rather busy weekend actually...dps first weekend off in a long time, and we havnt ventured out only for lunch today...so il leave it up to your capable minds as to what has been passing the time

hope you have all had a good one too xxx

edie123 · 30/10/2006 07:48

Off to see GP this morning. Still no AF. Op was 6 weeks ago today so I suppose it's not amazingly late?

Edie123 & D4phne - I hope your meetings with your GPs are helpful today. Sorry Edie about your negative test at the weekend - it would have been better to have never known it was positive in the first place, wouldn't it?

I am due AF tomorrow, and she seems to be bang on schedule. I knew she was coming when last Wednesday (for the second month running) I have started getting cramps a week before, so I feel quite mentally prepared. I am trying really hard to concentrate on relaxing as much as possible, as interestingly I found that deep breathing for a minute or two made my cramps go this week - so made me wonder if I have a lot of subconscious tension in my body. It's not fair that I now have period pains for over a week!

Janus, have you had your blood tests yet? I am due a repeat day 2 test on Wednesday, HSG for next week then I have a scan booked in for around CD14. I am really hoping they will see the egg about to be released.

edie123 · 30/10/2006 10:33

Just back from the GP-was in there 45 minutes! The students took a history from me and then my GP came in and they had to present my case to the GP. He then pointed out some things that they had forgotton to ask. He then had to ask them what the possibles might be, they said new pg, residual, ectopic, another mc etc. He examined me and we ruled out ectopic.

GP said that he had spoken to hospital who had examined products that were removed and ruled out other stuff (can't remember what) and they confirmed that they thought everything had been removed. They advised GP to do blood test.

However one of the sudents wanted to do it and it bloody hurt!! She was so sweet though and was so pleased with herself that she managed to get the blood bless her.

So now have to wait another couple of days to find out the HcG levels. Apparently should be between 1000-1500 or something for a new pg.

Uki · 30/10/2006 11:34

HI All
I may be getting my hopes up here cd 23...
WARNING to much info comming up.

But have noticed loads of cm in the last 2 days EW like and also had a glob. Anyway did some research and should be dry by now unless pg when you get more and can also get glob as part of cervical plug making, sometimes tinged with blood, mine wasn't but definately there. Can't work it out unless i'm ov again.
what do you think???

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 30/10/2006 12:23

Im back.Miscarrying as we speak at 5 weeks.Thought bfp was too good to be true.On clomid so can start taking again tomorrow and have another go at it.

Dad has just told me he wants me to give up and its not meant to be.I know hes worried about me especially having had a stillbirth last year but the medics tell me there is no reason I should not bave another healthy baby and I have told him I must listen to them and not him

Juicylucythe2nd · 30/10/2006 12:56

Chocolate Peanut - give yourself some time before you make any decisions about anything. You need to get over your mc first.

Your body will need a few weeks to get back to normal and then you can think about it.

If you feel emotionally up for it and there's no medical reason why you can't have a successful pg then there's no reason for you not to try again if you want to. Good luck.xx

Uki - I had lots of CM from my gaged OV date until my BFP, so it sounds like a good sign.xx

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 30/10/2006 12:58

I am up for it juicy.Been pregnant for a week and lost.Yes its hard and sad,but I lost at 25 weeks so today just feels like getting that AF on any other ttc cycle really.

Thanks for your thoughts and good luck to us all

Juicylucythe2nd · 30/10/2006 12:58

should that have been guaged??
