Janus, my luteal phase is generally 12 days. It is apparently the one thing that is meant to be a constant in a woman's cycle, give or take a day. So if you aren't pg this month (and I think that test was far too early to tell) then make a note of how long your luteal phase is so that you can work out when AF is due next month. I hope it won't be necessary though.

Oh i know what you mean firststar. I get my worst sleep in that last week of my cycle, and my best in the first 10 days of cycle when it is too early for anything to be going on.
I don't envy either of you at this time...ooh no.

firstar, good luck, everything crossed for Sunday.
Rubles thanks for the info, if I'm a 28 day cycle then only 2 days early, would have thought + result would show. Am assuming short cycle as early + OPK.
I feel absolutely wiped, think now I am going down with something as just want to crawl to bed.
As soon as kids are down, I'm off!
Have a great weekend everyone xx

desperate2bmum · 13/10/2006 23:09

janus - dont give up hope just yet...you never know what can happen! lets hope a/f stays away!

firststar - cant wait to hear your results sending lots of cyber babydust your way for a BFP!!!!

nothing here to report i am hallucinating (sp?) sore nipples. and nothing more! but a quick tweak soon brings me back to reality.

i had a weird experience today. when i was awaiting my scan results for my missed m/c i remember sitting in the waiting roomand there was a girl opposite me waiting for her results too..shaking uncontrollably and i remember how i was feeling on my first scare. (i was on my third scare at this point) anyway i got called into the doctors room and got told the bad news but by the time i had come out she had gone to and i always wondered what happened to her and how she got on. well today i spotted her at work she came into the shop and i saw her big round tummy she looked amazing and its strange because i felt so overwhelmed but not with jealousy or thoughts why cant that be me...i was overwhelmed because she had come out ok and i just felt so happy for her. i felt tears come to my eyes it was just such a weird experience. she probably didnt have a clue who i was and probably wondered who is this weird woman looking at me but i just felt glad that she had come out the other side.

hope you all have a good weekend and big hellos to everyone who i didnt mention (its late!!)

babydust to all xxxxxx

Hi everyone I know I'm coming in late.

Had M/C in May and August. Decided to TTC this month after a very normal AF in Sept. Not due for two weeks but reading these post makes me feel normal again. I work in a gynaecology ward and have acess to an abudance of pregnacny tests. (all free yeah) Anything that feels slightly abnormal I'm testing for. Then get disappointed when i get a BFN.

AF went away this time last week so I should only be ovulating now. Got quite good at finding EWCM. The thing I don't understand this month. After AF went i had no dry days. CM started almost the next day. had EWCM on Monday when Af left on Wednesday. Yesterday I had a show of brown discharge (like the stuff at the end of periods.)It has gone now but I tested in case. OF course it was going to be negative but i couldn't help it. Had the idea it may be implantation bleeding as i had ovualted early. I'M GOING MAD.

I'm like a kid in a sweet shop. I need help. I'm addicted to pregnancy tests.

Hi everybody- haven't had access to internet for a few days- dp has been very poorly-back in hosp- but i think he's ok now.

Firststar and janus- SO much good luck in your testing...I really mean that!! You deserve it- you all do!!

Hi to everyone else....I guess no one will be around- Sat night and all that- but i am playing nursey so shall be trying to catch up on my work and take peeks on MN.

Doing the dreaded count down to my scan- a week on Mon...very nervous. Have had NO bleeding or 'smudging' - as i call it- this time and I was having this by 6 weeks for my last 2 m/c.

Note to self: Stay optimistic...see you soon ladies xx

firstar, no AF but haven't done a test either as can't stand the disappointment! Have felt rotten all weekend, very achy all over and headaches and sore throat and sick. Think this is edge of a virus that I'm fighting by getting some more sleep than usual. Think AF may be on her way, all cm stopped which I think is a sign, is it girls??
Andi, how many weeks are you now? Obviously past 6 weeks? One more week until scan, I can see that it is dragging for you but so believe you will be telling us all about your little beanie in a week's time! Look after yourself.
Off to watch Come Dancing with the girls, things you do when you're a mother!!
Thinking of you all at 7pm xx

CHICKEN2221 · 15/10/2006 09:51

hi everyone im looking for some advise i have been ttc for 2 years no sucess nothing never even a day late now im 10 days late took tow tests one on friday neg but left it overnite looked and it showed pos took another this morning shows neg i dont no what to think im never this late and do feel a bit funny should i take another test

Janus · 15/10/2006 10:07

Chicken, I would take another test but, I THINK, the strongest wee is first morning wee so I would buy one today, say a clearblue test, and try first thing tomorrow. I think (again) test are only wrong in that they can give you a negative when you are in fact pregnant but not the other way around (ie they won't tell you you are pregnant and you're not) so definitely worth trying again. HTH and good luck.

CHICKEN2221 · 15/10/2006 10:11

yes ive already bought another

i think u start to imagine things but i was feeling sick during the week my period is never late i have no patience
i just want it really bad i think i no what u mean about disappointment janus

firstar, this is unbearable huh?!
This is cd28 for me but my periods can be anything up to 32 days long so I have days yet to agonise over. Have to say I think I have slight grumblings in tummy so think it may be over for me tonight (I usually start in the middle of the night).
Last night I dreamt I was pregnant with, wait for it, sweetcorn!! Had massive shoots growing out of me, think I'm consumed/been driven mad by all this now!
Let you know tomorrow.
Fingers crossed for you xx

andi0411 · 15/10/2006 19:04

Hi ladies -I'm still keeping pos for Janus and Firststar...it ain't over till it's over- iykwim. On my very first pg i didn't test pos until 10 days after my af was due and i am very regular- 27-32 days. I was convinced my cycles were messed up but i guess i ov'd late or something who knows?

Thanks for the lovely comments on my keeping upbeat about this scan- I have left it late- I'll be nearly 8 wks when i go- because i cannot face what happened last time with them saying it could be too early come back next week then the week after. At least this time I will know i should see a heart beat and thats that.

All the best lovely ladies...

Nicki10 · 15/10/2006 21:44

Hi Ladies I am back for one night! Oh my god the catching up to do is too much for me! Firststar and Janus I am very excited though and can't wait to read next we, all fingers and toes are crossed, it could still happen!.

Does anyone know how long it takes for the pregnancy hormone to come out of your body after an ERPC? and when a test would start to be clean?

Uki · 16/10/2006 03:25

Hi all and newbies typhoonsmum and CHICKEN2221

Sounds promising chicken, test could be neg, if not morning wee or you drunk to much water.

I only ever test with first morning wee, that way you know for sure it was as acurate as it could be.

I'm in to bd time now, so fingers crossed.

oinker · 16/10/2006 07:47

Good morning ladies........

You lot have been busy over the weekend. I had a good start to the weekend. Unlike you guys I can't wait for the start of my AF at the moment. i look forward to the day or so b 4 too. Just so's we can baby dance without worrying about condoms etc.... I am sure this will all change very soon.

Fingers crossed for some BFP's this week.

Niki,
It generally takes about 3 weeks for the hormones to totally disappear. Saying that it took me just over 4 weeks once. Docs think I may have had another pg and m/c though. Nothing was confirmed. It basically could have been either.

Last day of cabbage soup

Best of luck firststar, everything crossed for you.
