Just thought I'd drop in and say hi as I haven't been on to post for weeks.

CONGRATULATIONS! Juicy Lucy - it must have been the name change that did it!

Well we've stopped ttc for now as I am concentrating on recovering from this hideous depression I've been suffering. I'm back on anti-depressants and just taking a day at a time at the moment. I've realised that I can't possibly get pregnant again all the time I feel like this as I just wouldn't be able to cope.

Sorry I've not been able to catch up on everyone's news. Have there been any more BFPs?? Hope you lot are all well.
Lots of love.
x

minx69 · 09/10/2006 11:04

Did I miss something???

Do we have a BFP amongst us??

Are congrats in order???

Ive been "busy" hehe CD 16 today, wont bore you with all the details tho

Now for the dreaded 2ww......

LittlePolly · 09/10/2006 11:15

Minx - don't worry - it's me that's not keeping up! I haven't been on mn for weeks and just had a quick trawl back through posts and spotted Juicy Lucy's BFP from about 2 weeks ago.

minx69 · 09/10/2006 11:16

Thank god for that, thought I was losing the plot LOL!!

Actually scrub that, I lost the plot years ago :P

rubles · 09/10/2006 11:18

Littlepolly - I hope the A/Ds help and you soon feel ready to ttc again.

edie - I know what you mean about this thread being safe, I read that too and it made me feel a bit 'yucky'.

Uki - sorry about your AF. But I am very of your kitchen. You're in Oz aren't you? Which city? My sister has lived in Sydney for the last 3 years, you're not there are you?

Oinker - how are you doing on your cabbage soup starvation diet?

Andi - 2 weeks seems ages away...poor you (but then also lucky you for being pregnant)...I've no advice because I don't know how on Earth I will cope if/when it happens for me. Maybe go shopping for beauty products and/or accessories as they are things that will help you to look nice when you are big and fat but will also help you to feel nice now?

For those of you who watched the 'Birth Night' on Channel 5, I only saw the last 40 minutes. Were there any natural births apart from that woman who was in the early first stage? It was very interesting to see the Caesareans because I have never seen one, but it seemed a bit distorted in favour of unusual births rather than normal births, from what I saw. What did you think?

desperate2bmum · 09/10/2006 11:48

hiya all

i watched the birth night and must say i was rather of the lady having contractions..i cant wait to go through all that! we didnt see any natural births but saw a couple of life saving ops which were amazing when baby was still inside mum!

andi - 2 weeks will seem like 2 years but stay strong and positive and take things easy..like rubles i cant imagine being in that position i think il just wrap myself up in cotton wool..as much as i want a bfp i am totally dreading the build up to a scan. my thoughts are with you hun xx

well i had a bit of good news today...i should eb ovulating today or tomorrow i got a line on opk!! am over the moon at this cos i was really starting to panic as last month i didnt ovulate at all. iam cd14 cycles have been 26days.

how is everyone else? hope you all had a good weekend.

LittlePolly · 09/10/2006 11:52

Hi Rubles - thanks, I'm starting to feel a bit better already and it's nice to be back on mn. I was reading that HM thread too - seriously horrible stuff. How are you?

Uki · 09/10/2006 12:13

Morning alL

I GUESS BEING IN oZ, I didn't see the birth show, but I can imagine. My advice for birth is expect the unexpected, i.e you really can't plan it, and I hope we all get there first timers and others.

YES rUBLES I was in Sydney, but have just moved 2.5 hours west to the countryside. Although still frequent Sydney.

Hi Lil polly

I am in a suprisingly good mood, considering i was just talking to my friend who is expecting a baby three days before mine was due. She sounded great, and we had a few laughs. She also found out the sex a boy, so now she will have one of each, how lucky i am happy for her, although maybee not quite ready to see her, but nearly.

andi0411 · 09/10/2006 12:21

Hi ladies

Uki- so sorry about af...
Babyfettle- good luck with bd'ing this month- keeping my fingers crossed for you!!
Firststar - i DO hope af stays away for you and you can have a pos test...nerve wracking times these 2wk waits.
Rubles and D2beM thanks for the kind words- i guess I'm in 2ww of my own now...just going to do as you say and look after myself a bit. Dp better now- poor man has chronic asthma!!
Hi to everyone else and i second Edies comment about this being a nice thread- none of that anger etc..no need for that here- we just want to help each other.

Hi Little Polly - thanks.

Hope your recovery from depression is not too long or hard. Can't even begin to imagine how debilitating that must be.

But one day at a time sounds like the best approach.

Uki · 09/10/2006 12:32

Hi All
Hi Andi
What's the HM thread, i'm so curious now

Uki · 09/10/2006 12:35

Andi I send positive vibes for you, and your lil bean, and a nice ultrasound pic soon.

Juicylucythe2nd · 09/10/2006 12:44

It's on the pregnancy section and is a thread about a thread, but some ladies on there got very hot under the collar about name calling, spelling and all sorts. It was a bit scarry!!

I ran straight back here and was cowering behind the sofa on the Coggy, PCM etc thread!!!

Uki · 09/10/2006 12:47

Hi Juicy
Thanks
Just read your post on TTC for 3 yrs.
You poor thing, what a rough trot, I'll keep my fingers and toes triple crossed for you, look forward to your bean picture too.

LittlePolly · 09/10/2006 12:50

From what I can gather from the thread about the original thread, the original thread was posted by someone (female) who had been having an affair with another mnetter (male), whose wife also posts on the site, announcing she (the someone, not the wife) was pregnant by him (the male mnetter) and naming all concerned. Oh now I'm confused! And I don't like malicious gossip anyway .
No, seriously, the whole thing sounds pretty sordid and I'm jolly glad nothing like tat happens on this thread.

oinker · 09/10/2006 13:48

Rubles...

I am starting the cabbage soup tomorrow... I am not looking forward to it but will do it cos I have to.

Andi...I am sure that everything will be OK. I am quite a rare thing... Not many on here have expereinced the same as me and YOU ARE NOT JOINING MY CLUB ... Do you understand.... You will get through this. 8mths and your baby will be with you.

Juicylucythe2nd · 09/10/2006 13:59

Good luck with the cabbage soup Oinker, don't envy you.

I know a couple of women who did it and found it successful.

Lots of luck xx

oinker · 09/10/2006 14:10

DH has decided to do it with me for support....
We had a laugh this morning as he was reading up on the diets side effects and one was that you become agitated and irritable....He was doing just that when reading it....

I shall be reomving all sharps and carbs from the house tonight!!!!

I am not sure that I will be getting much support from him. No doubt I will be the one supporting him....

MEN...What are they like...

Juicylucythe2nd · 09/10/2006 15:22

I would have thought one of the biggest side effects was lots of trumping with all that cabbage - so probably better if DH does it with you - then you can compare wind!!

Or is that just what me and my DH would do

Janus · 09/10/2006 21:08

Firststar, my AF is due Sunday too, will try (note try!) not to test until Monday. Did lots of bd around right time but have to say I don't 'feel' pregnant. Boo.
oinker, good luck with the diet, had a work friend who did this and god the office was ripe!! Worked a treat for the weight loss though and I always thought the soup itself was tasty.
Andi, Monday 23rd does sound a little way off but amazing how time flies, just try and be good to yourself in the meantime, lots of rest.
Littlepolly, I think you're thinking on waiting until TTC is very wise, hope you look after yourself until you are ready and good luck then.
Couldn't face the live birth night, knew I'd be blubbing big time and fed up with it!
Hope everyone else is OK. Rubles, are you OK?

edie123 · 09/10/2006 22:13

Hi Andi!!!!
