Rubles-sorry about you AF-at least it's another new opportunity for this month. Disappointing though I know...

Uki-any sign of AF for you?

Andi-im feeling ok at the moment thanks. Now into my reduced hours at work and it feels lovely!!! Still AF for me, not counting but think im about cd4ish. How are you?

Babyfettle-when is DH back? Good luck with all the bd'g!! I often feel like making a note of what everyone is up to but yes as you say I don't want to get too obsessed!

Oinker-didn't know there was a baby loss week-thanks for mentioning it.

Minx-got that dark line yet?

How is everyone else doing? xx

stretchmarks · 06/10/2006 10:27

Morning all,

Just come back from the dreaded smear test at the doctors. Can get back to bding now with DH as on CD14 but not sure how long my cycle will be this month - pre MC it had been between 29-33 days for several months.

Oinker - had not heard about a baby loss week before hope it raises awareness of the impact this has on peoples lives.

So what is everyone upto at the weekend. I'm meeting up with some friends on Sat night for a girls night out - treated myself to trendy new jumper this week as when went out last weekend with DH realised I was in the same going out clothes as had been wearing since before DS who is now 3 !!!!
Shows how often I go out lol. 2 weekends out in a row now !!!!!

Stretchmarks

Have fun on Saturday night. Im out on at night too with DP and lots of our friends. It's rare for DP to be able to go out drinking as he is a boxer (not pro) and so he spends most of his time training when not at work. But tonight he should have a fight so tomorrow is his indulgence time and he will probably drink loads and ill have to look after him all of sunday!! I don't drink much so will porbably have a couple of lagers and thats it. But it will be a laugh as there will be lots of us. What do you do for a living?

Juicylucythe2nd · 06/10/2006 11:23

Rubles - I've emailed you. Hopefully our "plan" will work!

Babyfettle - how are you? When's DH home again? Hopefully will fall right for BD'ing this time

Oinker - thanks for the info re Baby Loss Awareness. Will check the web for what's going on. What's the latest with your appt / treatments??

Good luck to all you girls for this month.

I remember the day from last year. I had no idea it existed either.

I am doing OK.... Have lost just over a stone. My appointment is on the 17th. I will be starting the cabbage soup diet as of Monday which should help me loose at least another 7lbs b 4 my appointment. I am really hoping they will allow for a few pounds if needed.

Saying that I have just has a crispy creme donut and don't have my WW calculator. Can anyone help.... Calories 200 sat fat 3g What is the points value?

Oinker - a stone thats great. Don't be too strick on yourself re cabbage soup etc, isn't that just water loss??

It's more important you're eating healthily and your vit / min levels are right.

Are you managing to do some walking? How are the pains?

Take care of yourself x

Juicylucythe2nd · 06/10/2006 12:36

Oinker - ask the girls on the 13lbs / BFP by Xmas thread - someone there is likely to know.

stretchmarks · 06/10/2006 12:37

Well done oinker - points value would be 3 - I'm a lapsed ww - nearly lost half a stone but haven't been focusing on it too much for last few weeks. Would like to lose another half before November as we have our annual work event on the 3rd so would like to go shopping and not get too depressed trying dresses on.

Edie - I'm an account manager for an IT Company working with local Authorites. I travel about most days but am working at home today

oinker · 06/10/2006 13:23

Got the points value...One was 3.5 the other 4.5

I only had the 3.5 one.

Juicy..... I am only going to do the cabbage soup for the week running up to the appointment. I know it's water but I just want to be at my lowest possible weight b 4 the appointment. I won't tell the hospital what I have done. I just want to fool them. I am not fooling myself as I know I will put it back on b 4 loosing it agin. I will go straight back to WW after the appointment.

Juicylucythe2nd · 06/10/2006 13:51

ok, will stop being annoying worrywort.

Hope your appt goes well xx

babyfettle · 06/10/2006 21:50

Hello All!

You are all probably off enjoying your weekends, so don't expect any of you to be around until Monday. Hope you all have/had a fantastic weekend.

Congratulations on the weight loss Oinker - that's fantastic - I hope you still do well for the next 10 days!

Sorry about AF Rubles - I hope you got your appointment sorted?

My DH back in 4 weeks, notwithstanding unforeseen circumstances, so that's not too long, but think it is going to drag by. Think I'm getting near ov at the moment (CD18 for me), so he should be home at just around the right time to give him a few days to rest, before I jump on him in earnest ! Actually suddenly hit me today, that I really should have been trying harder to lose the 2 stone I've put on since before I was pg with DD. But I've found the last 4 months with DH away pretty hard, so we'll see what happens and I'm promising myself regular trips to the swimming pool once he's back.

Take care all
x

Uki

Congrats on the oven-sounds gorgeous. Are you an interior designer or just good at DIY?!

Uki · 08/10/2006 02:22

Hi All

AF arrived today.
Feel guttered of course, but kinda knew it wasn't my month, although in the end ov did sem to happen more were i expected, so must have been unlucky there.

I am going to try and get healthy this month, and seriously try for november BFP.

Uki · 08/10/2006 02:25

Edie
I am no interior designer, But I am a artist and mosaicist, so not bad at DIY.

Although the new kitchen was done by professionals, i just get to do the fun stuff.

edie123 · 08/10/2006 20:45

My god it feels so safe on this thread...just been reading the one about HM and its really nasty!

How is everybody? Uki-have you been cooking in your lush oven today?

Where is Andi-hope you are ok!

desperate2bmum · 08/10/2006 21:29

has anyone been watching birth night live on channel 5? my mum toldme it was on and ive been wiping tears from my face ever since...cant imagine how il be if the day actually comes when i give birth!!
on the other hand...my dp was wide awake for all of 10 mins when it first started...so i can totally imagine how he will be when the time comes..

hope u all had a good weekend!! xx

babyfettle · 08/10/2006 22:27

Started watching the live birth program on channel 5, D2BM, but then thought perhaps it wasn't wise with my current state of mind. Anyway, I've got into Jane Eyre - I'm so in love with Rochester!! Don't even really fancy Toby Stephens himself - but oh......!!

Think you can tell my DH is away and has been for a while!

Hope everyone had a good weekend and is ready for the week ahead. Any chance of another BFP this week - anyone due to test??

take care
x

andi0411 · 09/10/2006 06:45

Hi everybody - just thought I'd check in and see how you all were...my dp has been in hospital- bad asthma related problems and it's been stressful but he's ok.
Sorry about the af's...and good luck to those testing- fingers well and truely crossed..

I have to confess i watched the birth night thing last night and still couldn't really relate it to me...a heart beat in 2 weeks would be good enough at the mo!!! I have my scan on Monday 23rd 8-45 am- pos vibes appreciated my friends!! I am 5+6 today and feeling ok.
I wish you so much luck, i miss you all but will be hanging about for a while.
xx

oinker · 09/10/2006 07:44

andi...
hope dp is better. Try not too get too stressed. Do things to take your mind of the pg. This is just so's you don't worry. I know it is easier said than done and in all honesty I did exactly the same. But shopping helped me. Even if it was food shopping.

Lets have some positive thoughts... You will be fine and on the 23rd you will see your beautiful beanie and yoou will start to relaz.

andi0411 · 09/10/2006 08:29

Thanks Oinker you've cheered me up!
How's you ?- Is your appt still on the 17th? Is this to actually have your op or to assess your weight loss etc..how is that going too?

I have had 3 consecutive m/c over the last 3 yrs and was going to see the fertility specialist when this one happened...I won't be getting pg again -if i lose this one- without investigations..I remember you saying that you wish you hadn't gone on to have more pg's and i know where you're coming from. I will need help if this one goes belly up. Mine have been 'blighted ovums' but this is a self- diagnosis through research...
Let me know how you get on Oinker x
