Yes there was somebody on another thread who warned about the coeliacs but def good if it is that! Sorry to hear about everything you have been through! You are in the right place though and will get lots of advice and support from people whoi know what its like to go through similar things.

Good luck xx

rubles · 28/09/2006 14:44

Hello and welcome Minx69.
That coeliac's disease thing sounds hopeful for you (with regards to the miscarriages). How old are you? I though coeliac's was something you were born with - (or am I wrong?) - if so, you've been walking around with it for a long time so cutting out wheat may make a big difference to your life.

I had my m/c in January and have been trying since then, so I consider myself quite an old-timer on here.

desperate2bmum · 28/09/2006 14:54

edie - i cant do male rats there balls scare me...THEY ARE HUGE!! dont think about how long its going to take ttc because it will stress you out. it took me 6 weeks before but sadly m/c and now i am on my 4th month ttc.

andi - i have posted my congrats ona nother thread but what the hell....CONGRATULATIONS AND CELEBRATIONS DA DE DA DA DA [GRIN] still so happy for you stick around and give us all your lucky babydust!

welcome minx

nothing to report from me same old same old but i have posted my plan for the month on the positive october thread.

Janus · 28/09/2006 18:12

Hi Minx, welcome and hope you have some good news soon and then with cutting out the gluten it should go well for you.
I had a mc in October last year (one year anniversary next week, not looking forward to that) and been ttc since January this year. It's very tough, each month gets worse, but I'm plodding on and keep hoping!
Juicy, been thinking of you today, hope you are OK.

andi0411 · 28/09/2006 19:22

Evening ladies- hope everyone is well?

Edie -glad to hear your getting back in the saddle again love- so what cd are you today if first day of d and c is cd 1? You'll thnk I'm super weird but I LIKE grapefruit juice- but then I like sour fruit and burnt/well done food what a odd - ball!!!! I had grapefruit juice for the first time this last month and I did feel there was more cm..I sometimes need a bit of help in that dept!! It can't hurt to use it anyway- vit C and all that.

Rubles- how'd it go with your accupuncturist? Did she have any idea on your cycle? How are they today?

Minx- hi!! So sorry about your m/c's- with you having had 3 have they started investigations?
I was very interested to read of the glucose intolerance etc..can you tell me more about it( |I'm going to google anyway but would like to hear more.) I was due to see a fertility spec next month but 'dropped on ' this time- haven't cancelled appt yet...call me supersticious but I may re- arrange it next week. My last 2 m/c were termed 'blighted ovums' - have any of you ladies experienced this? I have done alot of personal research and there's a few good support sitea out there but not much on MN Would like to talk to someone who has had one or more and then had healthy pg- iykwim...

D2BM- you make me pmsl Rats balls- my dp was asking what i was laughing at and then just looked at me weird and walked off muttering -lol. Thanks again for the lovely, pos vibes- it really does make me feel better..3 weeks until the scan- then we'll know if theres' a heart-beat

Thanks for letting me stay aound- you know how it is after m/c- no confidence in your bod etc...
xxxxxx

andi0411 · 28/09/2006 19:24

Not forgetting you Janus... sorry its coming up to the anniversary time..good luck. where are you in your cycle right now- anything happening?
xx

desperate2bmum · 28/09/2006 19:32

andi i think you will be fine this time...you have had a few "false starts" and more than your share of heartache so if anyone deserves a strong fighting baby its you. even after your 9 months is up..still keep in toush

can someone please answer my question...

cough syrup how much and how often do i take?

evening primrose oil how long do i take?

pre-seed do i just use on day of ov?

andi0411 · 28/09/2006 19:41

D2BM- thanks for that- I certainly will keep in touch MN and the ladies on here have been a life line for me since m/c in June- wish I had surfed the net for them yrs ago!!

Here's what i think:

Cough med- 1tsp 2 times per day around ov time- a few days before and at ov

EPO- from cd 1 to ov- but noe after ov

Pre-seed before and during ov

Hope I'm right!!

Oh and grapefruit juice- well I used it from cd 7 to ov

x

desperate2bmum · 28/09/2006 19:43

thanks andi.

i am drinking grapefruit juice everyday i have a glass first thing to swallow folic acid with..i love the stuff
used it last month but didnt notice a difference in cm.

babyfettle · 28/09/2006 20:37

Hello All

Andi - glad to hear you sounding so positive, I really do hope this time is the time for you.

Rubles - is there any chance it might implantation related? Don't want to get your hopes up, but as I've read elsewhere on MN, it "ain't over until AF raises her ugly head"!

Juicy2 - I hope today went ok {{{{HUGS}}}}

My countdown til DH is home again has started - should be 6 weeks. I'm on CD10, regretting we didn't BD on CD8, as you never know, but with my dodgy cycles, I have no idea when ov will occur at the moment. Anyway, I'm going to give this grapefruit juice stuff a go - to give me more in the way of CM , as I'm sure that could be hindering TTC. I've ordered Taking Charge of your Fertility - is it all written up in there does anyone know? Then we can really go for it, once DH is back again in November.

Sorry rambled on for ages [again!]

hope everyone else is doing well - welcome to everyone new - sorry you've had to join us, but I hope your stay on this thread is short

take care all
x

rubles · 29/09/2006 09:29

good morning everyone. I shan't be on today much as Friday's is my day off work with dd, so I don't come on pc much.
The acupuncturist basically said what we all know to be painfully true - the only way to know what is happening with me is to wait. We'll have the answer by this time next week. I had cramps again yesterday a bit, and a bit now. Basically like v.mild period pain, except we have another 6 days until period is due. She looked at my temp graph for this month so far and said it was 'perfect' (LOL) so if something really kooky is going on she couldn't see why it would be from that. Just got to wait.

Janus · 29/09/2006 12:42

Oh rubles, hope this is your month! With my second pregnancy I had what I thought was a very short period (although can't remember if it was early). I only bled for 2 or 3 days and it was lighter than normal. When I thought about it about a week later I realised I might be pregnant and was!
Found out this morning another friend is pregnant. I felt fine when she told me and genuinely happy for her. Now, a few hours later, I feel miserable!
I'm on cd 12, partner away, back tomorrow for one day and then away again for 4 days so will probably miss my window again for this month. P off he's so often away when I need him here.
Still, what can you do ..

andi0411 · 29/09/2006 19:24

Hi ladies just wanted to wish everyone a fab week- end to say to wish you all the luck in the world!!
I'm away for the week- end so I'll catch up on Mon!! xx

Uki · 01/10/2006 01:41

Hello All

Have been away for a week so catching up.

WOW ANDI congratulations, i am absolutely thrilled for you and sending you lots of good wishes and baby glue. Well done for you and your new fiance!!!!All that work paid off this month

Welcome minx, my cylcle is all over too, i thought i would be back to 28 this month, but wasn't and ended up missing fertile period altogether.

so seriously doubt i'll be preg this month.
not much else to report

edie123 · 01/10/2006 16:19

Hi everyone. Pissed off today as bleeding after ERPC had stopped for 2 days so we made the most of the opportunity and BD'd. However today I have period pains and a kind of (tmi-sorry) watery blood so I think it's starting again-either that or something strange is going on.

Hope everyone is well xx

andi0411 · 01/10/2006 19:20

Uki thanks so much for the best wishes- good luck to you too [[hugs]]

Edie- I had that watery blood after my 1st mc when I had a d and c...I think its just a bit of residual blood, but if your concerned phone the unit tomorrow morning and ask them...do it because you don't want any further complications (i don't think there will be) It's better to always ask. Let me know I'll be thinking about you.

Feeling ok today- I'm only a few days post af- test was an earlyish pos- so no REAL symptoms except sore boobs and thirsty...pls let this one stick

edie123 · 01/10/2006 20:15

Andi

Good to hear from you! How are you feeling? Haven't fainted anymore I hope. Yes I think that is all it is-got period cramps so it's either that or my period early. Feel fine so don't think it's an infection-might see GP about it Tuesday if im concerned.

andi0411 · 01/10/2006 22:46

Hi Edie- no more fainting thank goodness!! Just bloated and sore boobs...

I have been reading up - again- on blighted ovums which is what my last 2 m/c's were and the stories have depressed me tonight. Some have successful pg's - some don't. I could have another one..but I will have my cons appt to fall back on this time and get some investigations done.
Had to call dp at work in floods of tear- not me!!!- and moan at him...poor man.

Sorry to rattle on...so glad you're ok and getting back into the saddle - i wish you all the luck Edie- you and all the ladies on here !! xx

desperate2bmum · 02/10/2006 09:18

good morning all!

andi - glad to hear you are doing ok.

i started temping this month and making a right hash of it so far..have forgotten 2 days and because tues-fri i have to get up at 5am i test then but at wkends i get up at about 9am so the temps r all over the place.
not been able to sleep again this weekend keep waking at ridiculous times wide awake and my damn rat is keeping me awake with her rattle toys!

hope everyone had a good weekend

slingmadmother · 02/10/2006 10:47

Hi Everyone,

A fallen mumsnetter returning here after a year away..... Had a m/c at 5-6 weeks (very early) last week. Now on cd 10 and NOT waiting!! SO wondered if it was ok for me to join you?

mixed emotions really- feel totally desperate to be pg again and in the same light also scared about IT happenning again! sigh

I am VERY lucky in that I have 2 boys (2.5 and 1) and this is my first expereince of pregnancy loss.... I've been stalking this thread all week

Anyway- ((hugs)) to everyone and
** lots of baby dust- of the extra sticky sort!!

minx69 · 02/10/2006 14:33

Thanks for all the kind welcomes ladies.

Andi, I had 2 mc's then Erin then a further 2 mc's but was told because mc No.3 wasnt confirmed with a doctor it doesnt count and that it has to be 3 in a row......
Which basically means if its not the gluten, I have no idea why they are happening

Coeliacs is basically that your body is allergic to the gluten in Wheat, barley and in extreme cases oats too. Your intestines go mad and try to "fight" the gluten, the result is antibodies and wotnot (not 100% on technical terms here tho) going up to the stomach causing wind, excess acid, irritated stomach lining, indegestion, bloating etc whilst some travel down the way with the food causing IBS like symptoms but cos your imune system goes whappy it concentrates energies on the bowel that should be used to grow (im short lol) and to repair (slow healing) and to reproduce (early m/cs.)

Looking back I am pretty sure its something Ive had all my life and has become more apparent since I had DD and became more stagnant (used to run around at work all day which helps get it thru the system quicker). Got to a point where I was in agony most afternoons (sandwiches for lunch... doh!) so sought help.

With the first MC I fainted in the shower so I can sympathise there! Its really not pleasent. Sounds like things are more stable for you this time tho so fingers crossed and losts of babyglue for you!!!

Fingers crossed for you too Rubles!

edie123 · 02/10/2006 16:28

Andi

Oh my god you poor thing-I don't know what to say. I wish I could promise you that it's all going to be ok. As I said before it's just so bittersweet for you. All you can do is take each day as it comes and don't think beyond that. And then hopefully before you know it you will be holding your baby and wondering why the time went so quick. I hope so. Was DP sympathetic? Have you thought about buying Pronatal by Sanatogen? It's good stuff and it has everything in-inc extra folic acid. Im sure you know all there is to know about supplements!! What work do you do? Is there any chance you can cut your hours down? Is it stressful?

I still don't know what is happening with my body! Still getting period pain but no bleeding or discharge today. Really want to start BDing again but scared that it will cause an infection of somesort. Oh I dunno...

andi0411 · 02/10/2006 23:14

Hi ladies- sorry haven't been around much..went away at week-end and not feeling too good now.
Slingmad- welcome, sorry about your mc..your in the right place......v. sorry for your loss.

Minx- thanks for the info..I also did not know that if you had a birth between m/c's then they did not continue counting your previous m/c's with your next ones...how odd is that?

Edie- so kind and thoughtful as ever. Dp is very sympathetic to my symptoms but he is more scared than I am about a m/c...poor guy. We went through emotional hell last time with scan after scan- hopes built then dashed etc and I was a bit messed up but like you said- one day at a time now. I think I will get the Sanatogen tomorrow- have been taking seperate vits and folic acid..may as well do it right- get it all right.

All my best wishes to you lovely ladies in your ttc time....we will bl+++y get there in the end!!!

ps - I am 5 weeks tomorrow.....

edie123 · 03/10/2006 08:19

Right Andi well as you know 5 weeks is an important time so relax as much as poss and treat yourself! Do something you love. Yes the Sanatogen has everything in so at least you know you are getting everything your body needs. You say you don't feel too good now? Is that physically or mentally? Thinking of you and DP xx

Slingmadmother-How are you feeling physically after the mc? I had a missed one and had to have ERPC about three weeks ago now but I keep getting paranoid that I have an infection even though I feel generally quite healthy. I bled after op but feel like AF is coming any day which makes BD difficult! Good luck with you...mc is awful xx

slingmadmother · 03/10/2006 13:34

Andi ((hugs)) I can't imagine how I will feel in your position. But I am sending you lots and lots of sticky vibes.

Edie- Physically I feel normal really. I m/c naturally so no post d&c issues to contend with. I was a little worried about infection with regard to bd'ing but now DH and I are back on track that is less of a worry

cd 11 today and am doing opk's to make sure I don't miss O. Getting darker but not there yet... am thinking maybe I will have O'd by about cd 17 ish. My LP is always 12 days af comes 13 dpo.... I am such a charting nut and have charted for years...so I am hoping my body is behaving relatively ok!!

I've read that first few cycles after a m/c can ge very fertile... so fingers crossed.

Hope everyone else is ok.
xx
