The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Yup. I teach teenage boys!!!! Really not sure about tomorrow - I think it could go either way at the minute Confused

OttersPocket · 13/02/2014 20:03

Everything crossed for you Doctor, and all the other POASers Smile

DoctorDonnaNoble · 13/02/2014 20:10

I have to admit I'm a little scared to POAS. I had made my own rule that I was only going to test if I was late - but I don't suppose it really matters does it. If AF hasn't shown up by tomorrow I should poa(cheap)s and wait and see what happens. It can only be one of two things!

Parsley2506 · 13/02/2014 20:43

donna whatever feels right for you. Do Don't let our vicarious BFP wishing influence you if you'd rather not test yet.

MrP's best friend announced he was engaged last week - great news all round. Tonight however he's told us the wedding is Apr 6th. Am now awaiting fearing/dreading the shotgun announcement.
Baxter where did you leave that trout gun?

Sal1977 · 13/02/2014 21:21

How much ate you paying for the test Just?

Justonemoretime · 13/02/2014 21:26

£360. Smile

DoctorDonnaNoble · 14/02/2014 05:49

Tested but got a bfn. However, hope it's not tmi but it was a Boots cheap one and I got some on the window bit which it says to avoid. Sad
Anyway, no sign of AF yet so there we go.

MissHobart · 14/02/2014 07:07

You're not out yet! wait for AF! Smile

I continue to opk giving further confirmation that I OV'd on CD11 and missed! Hmm

Justonemoretime · 14/02/2014 07:18

Sorry for your bfn, Donna, hope its either a false test or AF comes and is totally healthy and normal to get you ready for success next month.
I'm a bfn too, as I thought. AF not got going for me yet either, and I'm set on this NK test so hope it comes and goes and I'll be ready for my sticky bfp in April with either reassurance or appropriate treatment.

Parsley2506 · 14/02/2014 08:04

Double boo just and donna, sorry for the BFNs.

Glad you've got some positive action you can take now just and hoping you get some (good!) answers.

TeaRex · 14/02/2014 08:26

Sorry for the bfn, fx it's a bit too early for you ladies x

DoctorDonnaNoble · 14/02/2014 08:29

Feel down hearted and crap now. This is the first time I wish I did Valentine's Day as then I'd have something to look forward to tonight! Sad

Triplespin · 14/02/2014 08:35

Sorry about the Bfns. It isn't over yet. Is AF overdue just and donna?

misshobart I am in a fairly similar position. Do not despair! Still worth hoping for a miracle or you can look forward to next cycle.

I have booked for accupuncture next week, so looking forward to that. So wish to be the person who gets upduffed soon after starting!

DoctorDonnaNoble · 14/02/2014 08:49

Not overdue yet - just due to start and before MC I could guarantee I would come on that morning. Wanted to know one way or another as I've booked into a hard gym class this evening involving barbells and heavy weights Grin

EnglishGirlAbroad · 14/02/2014 08:50

Sorry for the bfns Donna and Just, hope your DH's give you some extra love today.

Penguin13 · 14/02/2014 09:30

Sorry for the BFNs Doctor and Just. Hope it's just too early for you Doc and Just I hope that you get some answers if you make it to the tests before getting a BFP.

First ever positive CB digital opk was an unusual valentines gift but I'll take it! I might actually have a 2ww this cycle which is a step in the right direction. Hopefully being on hols next week will provide a distraction. I see delicious fresh croissants in my very near future Smile

OttersPocket · 14/02/2014 09:41

Ah girls, sorry 'bout the damn bfns. Sending some posifrickentivity your way.

Happy digi OPK day Penguin I'm hoping to get mine today or tomorrow.

Baxter2014 · 14/02/2014 11:02

Booooo for all the BFNs but its not over yet ladies!
I'm in the process of creating a line of trout guns for purchase. I think my new career should be an arms dealer...I hear there is good money in it and I am sure my signature range of semi-automatic trout guns will go down a storm. I am going to test one on the bucket-fannied acquaintance for having FAR TOO MUCH TITH for my liking.

I am on CD9 of SMEP and am already dreading the next week of shagathon. It all just seems to pointless (awful isnt it...i do love DH and I do heart TITH but I prefer doing it when we fancy it and not as per my frigging ovulation calender...mind you the way I feel at the moment we probably would never DTD again)

OttersPocket · 14/02/2014 11:05

I'm with you there Baxter. CD12 for me and we've stuck to smep so far. So it's TITH for us for the next five days and (much as I love DP and tith) I really can't be bothered with it all! I'll buy a trout gun from you Grin

sebsmummy1 · 14/02/2014 11:50

Grrrr for the BFNs. I agree with the 'not over till AF appears'. After mc i know it takes a while for cycles to rebalance so at this stage you may get a positive test result later than you would suspect. Huge FX for those in limbo.

Its my birthday today and it started with me crying, which isn't the best. I am 39 now and feel like time is running out and even if i could get pregnant again the stats are higher for another mc. So i moped about a bit. Then opened my presents, hugged my boys, had some sex and feel much better. We are off out once my son wakes up and hopefully a lovely day will be had.

I tested one squinter away from a negative this morning. Not sure how long it will take for either OV or AF. Anyone remember how things went for them or did you not test till it read negative? I know its so individual so i am just looking for some outward signs that my body might be gearing up to do something.

Happy Valentine's Day girls. We may not be pregnant but we do have gorgeous men who love us and not everyone is lucky enough to say that xxx

OttersPocket · 14/02/2014 12:01

Firstly, happy birthday sebs I'm glad you have a lovely day planned Flowers

Secondly, don't be too hard on yourself. Impossible I know, but there is still hope Smile After my mc I took lots of HPTs. I got a positive OPK two days after a real squinter on an HPT, then ov'ed two days after that.

Have a lovely day.

HollyBen · 14/02/2014 12:39

Sorry about bfns. fx it's just too early

Happy birthday sebs! I am 39 (for the next few months at least Wink ) I know all the stats but I know quite a few people who have had babies into their 40s. Have a lovely day, lots of hugs with your boys and think positive x

Surely ole 50 portions needs some cranberry juice as well as trout gunning. I think if I ever managed that much tith I would retire my flowerpot and take a vow of celibacyShock I was determined to follow smep this month but wasn't well cd8 so had some tith cd9 instead. Then come cd11 couldn't be arsed. Mustered the enthusiasm cd 13 and 15. Just had a positive opk so the shagathon begins - all together now HOORAY

Triplespin · 14/02/2014 12:48

Dh always wants Tith after I have ovulated when I can't be arsed!! He seems to be running on a different schedule to me!!

sebs happy birthday and I know exactly how you feel. Like time is running out. But I know several over 40s who gave conceived and very easily. Hope your dh has some lovely treats for you today :)

EnglishGirlAbroad · 14/02/2014 14:08

Happy Birthday Sebs, hope you have a great day! I got a -tive hpt a week after my bleed, but I think i must have missed ov that very first cycle.

Parsley2506 · 14/02/2014 14:38

Happy birthday Sebs! I got a negative hpt 2 weeks after MC, but didn't track ov that first cycle or really engage in active ttc (it kept making me cry Hmm)

I say FUCK YOU to the stats. We will get our babies!

CD25 (of 32 day cycle) and 7DPO; knackered, uncoordinated and constipated. No boob soreness, no spotting, no bloody clue!! Smile
