The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Oh sebs Its so rubbish isnt it? I hope it goes quickly without any issues. Cry away, I'll be thinking of you today.

AF definitely over for me now. Its my 2nd AF post MC - thats why I am so frustrated. I just wish every cycle could go back to being the same so I felt I was starting again with a clean slate. At the moment it feels like an uphill struggle. Still, must stay positive!

TeaRex · 10/02/2014 09:09

Good luck for today sebs x

EnglishGirlAbroad · 10/02/2014 09:17

I'll be thinking of you today Sebs, allow yourself a good cry and a massive bar of chocolate!
Just and Donna, hope the week passes quickly and delivers some good news at the end of it.

Sal1977 · 10/02/2014 09:31

Oops, got my smear date a whole year out so it's not due until next Feb/March!!
At least I won't be taking on water when I go swimming today!!

Clearly my fanjo is having withdrawal symptoms as it hasn't been prodded, probed, scanned, vacuumed or fiddled around with by medical staff for over 4 weeks!!

Sundance2007 · 10/02/2014 09:34

Hope all goes as well as can be expected sebs, it's the end of a shitty chapter but hope you have someone that can give you plenty of hugs later. Thinking of you.

So, naturally I'm now paranoid that this could be an ectopic pg, pain on one side, negative tests etc. Has anyone had an ectopic that can give me better info that Dr google? Had a big cry this morning, cleverly masked by the sound of the hair dryer.

HollyBen · 10/02/2014 09:42

Thinking of you sebs

sundance was today test bfn then? There is still hope. Don't worry about having had a drink.

I can't get into the groove this month. Was determined to do smep, but couldn't muster any enthusiasm. I also keen forgetting to take my pregnacare and do opks. Maybe this is part of the just relax and it'll happen we hear so much about Wink

Sundance2007 · 10/02/2014 09:58

Yep, 5 days late and bfn. Help!

sebsmummy1 · 10/02/2014 10:22

Wish we could add sigs on here as I'm playing catch up on where everyone is post mc as I've only just joined the thread. Don't want to keep asking the same questions of people.

I know cycles can take a time to normalise which is tucking annoying as I'd just got mine sorted after breast feeding for a year and now I feel I'm going to be taking a massive step back again.

I always planned to do SMEP but my OH always managed to be out of he country on key days. In the end we just shagged a lot in the fertile window and I used soft cups and eventually one decrepit sperm met one less than sprightly egg.

Seasides · 10/02/2014 10:31

sundance i got a BFFP with my ectopic, immediate dark line - obviously everyone's different, but I'm pretty certain you'd get one if it were. Also, my pain was straight down the middle (though aware that's not always the case) and very severe from the very start. It began feeling like bad wind, but quickly became unbearable - within 20 mins. You would not be able to ignore it. Also I spotted from the start - knew things weren't right with the pg immediately. Had one very big bleed before AF was due, then constant spotting.

Sundance2007 · 10/02/2014 10:42

Thanks seasides, I presumed it might be a constant pain if it were ectopic and it isn't - just the occasional dull ache like af pains. My luteal phase is clearly still just messed up so going to wait a few more days and see what happens

Penguin13 · 10/02/2014 11:11

Thinking of you today Sebs. I hope it all goes ok. There's nothing wrong with a good cry.

sebsmummy1 · 10/02/2014 11:26

I'm back at home. It was fine, I didn't cry!! Lady was so lovely and funny. She said the miscarriage was complete and I should get back TTC again. She said forget the pregnancy tests. Long as I have stopped bleeding just to carry on. If I don't get any bleeding by 6 weeks to do a pregnancy test, if i do get bleeding before then that's my period.

I did ask why I never got cramping or big tissue loss and she said everyone is different. Back in the day I wouldn't have even known I was pregnant and just thought it was a weird period. Not sure how true that is really as in hindsight the ton of mucus really isn't normal but anyhow, it's all over and psychologically I feel pretty robust.

So now I've just got to get pregnant again. And that's easy yes?

Sundance2007 · 10/02/2014 12:37

Well done on getting through it sebs, never nice. Have some Wine and Cake, you've earned it!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 10/02/2014 14:01

Glad it went as well as can be expected Sebs, enjoy some wine tonight and good luck with your ttc journey!

HollyBen · 10/02/2014 15:42

Glad it wasn't too bad sebs fx you are one of these mythical super fertile after mcers and get a sticky bfp soon.

I feel your frustration sundance. How mant dpo are you? The doc could do a blood test. Not sure how late af needs to be before they will though. Really hoping for good news for you. It has been a little while since we have gad a bfp

Sundance2007 · 10/02/2014 16:58

14 days po today, but I've had af arrive on 8's and 9's since mc in oct, my cycle is 30 days as of today when it's 23 or 24 on average. Just want af to arrive so i can get this over with.

I can't exactly panic as on paper the dates and numbers are probably normal, and it doesn't help that I've been cramping for about 4 days. Talk about knicker checking too, I'm in the toilet every half an hour.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 10/02/2014 17:06

With you on the knicker checking. I'm determined to hold out until at least Friday for POAS though. Not going to waste more money than I need to on stupid sticks!

Triplespin · 10/02/2014 17:47

sebs well done in getting through it. As you say you can now start again and who knows you may be the lucky few to get upduffed soon after. How many cycles did it taje for you to get pg before?

sundance you must be in agony. Have you been temping? That could give some sort of indication? Which sticks are you using? Maybe try with a diff brand? Is it possible you may have ovulated later? Two cycles ago, I ovulated one week late.

Triplespin · 10/02/2014 17:49

hollyben same here. Going for the relaxed approach here. Not even using opk. Only problem is cd13 here and dh is still away. So another cycle written off.

sebsmummy1 · 10/02/2014 18:03

I keep meaning to temp and then every morning forget to do it and remember when I'm up and about and it's too late.

It took no cycles to conceive my son as he was unexpected and 7 cycles to conceive and then mc. I was breast feeding for 5 of those cycles which I don't think helped at all.

OveranxiousUnderated · 10/02/2014 18:47

Sundance - Just giving my quick input re ectopic. With mine, I had a period as normal and on time, then as my period finished I got a very positive pregnancy test which continued to get stronger daily. I had no pains what so ever until 8 weeks when my tube ruptured, like seaside says I think you'd know about it if it was ectopic, the pain truly is unbearable. I too knew it was wrong from the start as i had bfn...then period...then bfp. I would think it's very unlikely that you are experiencing ectopic, so try not to worry about it just keep an eye out. X

Sal1977 · 10/02/2014 19:05

My left nipple hurts at 5dpo. Clearly a sign. Wink

DoctorDonnaNoble · 10/02/2014 19:10

So exhausted today, full of symptoms which could mean one of two things. God Mother Nature is a twisted thing!

Misspositivity · 10/02/2014 20:54

sundance. What a pickle and how confusing. Not surprised you had a good cry. Do you temp because maybe you ovulated later than you think. Blood test cAn be done now maybe wait a few days and then give doc a call. Hugs.

sebs glad scan went well and you are good to go.

sal I have put on 5lbs and am 2dpo - clearly a sign Wink

sebsmummy1 · 10/02/2014 20:58

In a way it did help to be pregnant recently because with my successful pregnancy I wasn't trying so didn't look out for any signs. The only thing that was weird was a 50 pence sized very dark blood spot a good few days before AF was due. Classic implantation bleed, so I tested and it was BFP.

This time the only thing different was some creamy discharge on dpo 9. Other than that absolutely nothing. So for me symptom spotting is a total waste of time. I suppose at least it stops me from winding myself up.
