I started this same thread in December and was lucky enough (after 7 months!) to get pregnant with our first. Unfortunately I had a mc just before Christmas at 5 weeks. Cycle was a bit erratic at the start but looks like I ovulated at my normal time and BBT has risen. I'm almost certain I won't be lucky enough to get pregnant straight away after mc but I thought starting a thread like last time might help!!

I know aqua, it's so frustrating.
Well i'm the same, my cycles have been so long since mc in nov, 37 days long and then 34!!
I tested positive on sunday but again did i ov then?? I had a lot of ewcm yesterday that it felt like i had my period and i kept running to the toilet!! Could this be implabtation?? Or ovulating now?? God it's messing with my head, i don't know how to live normal anymore lol it revolves around this and another month of its going to make be go insane lol!
I shouldnt make it my job, i should let it happen naturally but i want it so bad :(
Iv got little cramps period type pains just now literally just came on, and sun/mon/tues i had cramps in tube area.... I think i'll do my first test friday too! That will be 10dpo or 11 i think! So will see then :)
Ahhh i so hope we have a positive Aquaa!!!

Aqua78 · 11/02/2014 07:50

Cramping, sore boobs, waking up in the night hot and sweaty, weird dreams, moments of nausea, feeling like I need to wee all the time, general bloatedness.... either I'm pregnant or my body is playing very cruel tricks on me. I've decided to do an early test tomorrow (it'll be 10dpo). I'm hoping I'll get that BFP but realise it could be too early still.

How are you doing Babytinks and Miserywaterfall? Really hoping you both get your BFPs!

babytinks89 · 11/02/2014 08:19

It's sounding good for you Aqua!

I've had nothing not a jot... 9dpo today, so gutted, really don't think i have got it this month. Trying to prepare myself to try again end of feb! Ordered more opk tests lol so hppefully march is a better month for me!

Aqua78 · 11/02/2014 10:08

Just did a test - BFN. Stupid I know, 9dpo is too early. Just feeling so sure that I'm pregnant. I'm scared this is just working up to a big disappointment, lots of BFNs and a visit from AF. Baxter, you were really sure your body was telling you that you were pregnant, do you think the symptoms had something to do with recovering from a mc maybe?

babytinks89 · 11/02/2014 17:26

I done the same aqua tested this morning. Expected it to be a bfn anyways, so wasnt as dissapointed.
4 more weeks and we'll be back here :) well thats if you get a bfn of course but feeling hopeful for you Smile

Baxter2014 · 11/02/2014 23:31

God knows what was going on with me. I had loads of symptoms and was positive I was PG. But remember everyone is different and there are so many different stories in here, anything can happen. Good luck!! X x

Aqua78 · 12/02/2014 07:22

Thanks Baxter. I guess it isn't over until AF appears.

Dh has announced that he doesn't want a Nov or Dec due date (too close to my birthday and then Christmas), so if we aren't pregnant this month I'll be out for a couple of cycles :-(

I got another BFN this morning, will try again on Friday. How about you Babytinks? I'm a bit scared that I'll get the same pattern as the pregnancy that miscarried - no BFP until 4 days after AF was due. I should have realised at the time that perhaps that wasn't a good sign when I tested positive with my first and successful pregnancy 2 days before AF.

tigger8 · 12/02/2014 14:29

Aqua .....you ok with that announcement? It would be great if 'things' happened on time and schedule. Bloomin' heck, I would not have had to wait for 15 yrs for my LO! And, to add, we would not be all sitting on this thread...LOL! If I had not been so heavily career-orientated and set time scales for everything, I may have got pregnant earlier and more easily....but this is MAY have. Hmmmmm.....

babytinks89 · 12/02/2014 20:52

Hi girlsss!
Nope nothing for me yet! 10dpo not felt anything, af sure to be coming, but because of my mucked up cycles since mc in november my af might not be here until this time next week, its murder!! Whyyy

Ordered more opks yesterday, to be prepared for joining the march bus!

Aqua78 · 13/02/2014 06:35

11dpo and still BFN. Starting to give up hope. Feeling really low as I was so sure my body was gearing up for pregnancy. I still feel tenderness in my boobs as I write... what is going on?!?

Babytinks, you're sounding really optimistic about jumping on the March bus, I think I need to take a leaf out of your book.

Tigger, I'm not unhappy about dh's announcement, although I'd probably prefer to just keep trying if I'm honest. Perhaps we'll negotiate an attempt for a Nov due date and skip Dec. We'll see...

Still hoping and praying for BFPs all round soon!

Baxter2014 · 13/02/2014 08:27

Oh Aqua dont lose hope. whatever happens this cycle things will be ok. I think you should talk to DH about keeping going...maybe agree to not track your cycles/ovultation and just DTD when you feel like it and if it happens it happens. I know a baby born on the 25th of december is not ideal but at this stage I would take anything! My birthday is in November too but I have always said to DH that I would love a November baby (my favourite month)...even so much as when we got PG the first time I said I was surprised cos I always thought we would have one in Nov. If thats the case - this month is my month (dont want to wait another year). Just starting in DTD on the SMEP tonight!
And remember 11DPO is still early and its not over until the witch arrives.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 13/02/2014 08:38

Aqua, Try not to get down. You're still testing early. Many people get a positive after due date and go on to have perfectly normal and healthy pregnancies. Its also worth noting that symptom spotting after a mc is never a good idea. From what i've heard from other ladies in our position is that pms symptoms in general have been heighten after a mc. Its a massive kick in the teeth i know. Try to keep positive, you're not out yet Smile

I was also really not that into having a december baby, but at this point I just want a healthy baby more than i dont want a christmas baby. I couldn't stop trying now incase that month was the month it was supposed to happen.

tigger8 · 13/02/2014 11:38

Yes, agree with everyone's opinions about rolling with it, or scheduling pregnancy. I guess, being an old bag, time is ticking for me and I would get pregnant any time NOWWWW! Agree with you English that the first period really is an odd one, having just finished mine after MC. I felt bloomin' preggers before and during AF...sore boobs, sickly, twinges. I think, for a lot of us, our bodies are still sorting themselves out post-MC. Anyone here use a CB fertility monitor? Is it worth getting one? Which OPKs do you use? Do we have a right to ask for a check-up post-MC to ensure everything is ok even though, in my case, it was an early one?

EnglishGirlAbroad · 13/02/2014 13:17

I think realistically we should expect screwed up cycles for a few months Hmm!
I've got a cbfm ready and waiting to go if this cycle isn't successful. Got it off ebay 40 pound (got an american mac & cant find the pound symbol!). Until now though ive used the clear blue digital dual hormaone opks. I've also got some ic's to use in the afternoon! Overkill much!!

Baxter2014 · 13/02/2014 14:23

I used a CBFM for a month or two and it was great for letting me know exactly when i was ovulating (without having to interpret IC OPKs). I borrowed it off a friend but even the sticks were expensive (£20 for a pack which lasted maybe 2 cycles??) I worked out that i was ovulating about the same time each month so gave up using them. I have been using IC tests for the SMEP cos they are so cheap, showed I ovulated at the same time in my cycle that i was expecting CD14, even tho my cycle was messed up. Was considering going back to the CBFM just to check i am getting it right now my cycles are strange but I really would only recommend for a few months unless your ovulation dates are all over the place.

SwedeAway · 13/02/2014 15:23

Hey everyone, just checking in to see how you are all doing. Had a blood test on Monday which confirmed I am pg, still not sure how far a long but according to my calcs I should now be 6 + 1. Have an early scan booked for Fri next week so keeping fingers crossed that it will be ok. Honestly, I am not enjoying this pg at all so far. Just worrying that something will go wrong with this one as well. I am trying to busy myself with a million other things to keep my mind of it but being rather unsuccessful. Hopefully I will feel more positive after next Fri.

Can't read the posts back whilst writing but 11dpo is usually too early to test. I have always waited until AF is at least a day late to get the most accurate result. As someone said, it ain't over until the witch arrives!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 13/02/2014 15:51

Glad you have an early scan booked swede, hopefully that'll make you feel a little bit calmer.Smile But I can totally get why you're not enjoying it yet. Think I'll crap myself when I do finally get another BFP!! Confused

Aqua78 · 13/02/2014 19:33

You are all fab, thanks for the wise words and encouragement. Think I'm just going to chill now and wait until Sunday to test again. I plan to just enjoy valentines with dh and have a relaxing weekend.

I'm not surprised you're feeling a bit scared Swedeaway, I hope the scan next week shows everything to be healthy and normal.

Tigger, I reckon you could ask for a check up at the doctors if there's something you're worried about. They have to respond to specific symptoms or concerns, so I guess you'd need to have something specific that's worrying you and not phrase it as wanting a general check up.

Aqua78 · 15/02/2014 20:20

Hi girls, getting myself ready to test again tomorrow. I expect a BFN this time, but feeling much more positive about just getting on with things and trying again....

How's everyone else doing?

EnglishGirlAbroad · 16/02/2014 08:46

I'm the same Aqua. I'm 11 dpo, waiting til Friday to test if AF doesn't come. But I fully expect her to come on tomorrow or Tuesday though!! But I'm prepared for it and ready to rock March! Smile

babytinks89 · 16/02/2014 10:22

15dpo today. BFN, but no sign of Af eighter!
Just want af to hurry up so we can try again :(! Another month gone and nothing, what else can we do?

How's everyone today?
Any bfp :)?

Aqua78 · 16/02/2014 16:22

bfn, no surprise. No AF either though... Just want her to come now so we can get on with the next cycle. Dh has agreed to try next cycle then skip the next one if unsuccessful. Here we go again!!

babytinks89 · 16/02/2014 17:46

Aw aqua sorry to hear :( it's an absolute joke isn't it....we are suppose to enjoy it not get stressed by it each month lol

I bought internet cheapies for opks again, but going to sack them and buy the clear blue digis this month! Going all out we are the same if no joy this month i think we'll take a break.
I dont think my bodys recovered fully from mc either. This would be cycle 3 so you would think so!!

Tutti · 16/02/2014 19:43

Hey everyone...(waves)

Swede glad you getting a scan xx

To everyone who has af turned up .. Rubbish isn't it...

Well cd11 for me ... So back to opk sticks and getting down to business...

Only thing is ... Am beginning to doubt whether we are doing the right thing ... I am 40 .. Dh 53 .54 this year ... I am seriously thinking we are not being fair ... Thoughts?

We have discussed it over and over .. And hearts say yes .. Brains say no .. And for now have aimed to try for a couple of cycles and then call it quits ...
Before I found out I was pregnant ..(and then miscarried) we would never have tried for another ... But losing this one made us realise what we 'could' have had ...

Aargh I am making no sense Confused

Tutti · 16/02/2014 19:45

To add ...

I almost feel like we are playing at 'being young' HmmHmmConfusedConfused

Like we shouldn't be even considering it
