So, here it is, Part 4! May it bring lots of BFP's for those of us still waiting and may it bring happy healthy pregnancies for those who are fabulously pregnant.

OP posts:
mrsm22 · 21/02/2014 20:34

I was the same, I was 7 weeks pregnant with my DS when I found out. I'm now 24 weeks pregnant today with my second and I've been trying to remember how soon I felt things. I came off the pill and never had a period, I just had a light bleed after 4 weeks and that turned out to be implantation bleeding. I felt very tired. How old is your first DC?

Vicky5910 · 21/02/2014 23:10

She is 3.5, we had talked about trying once we we're settle in our new house but she just arrived a bit before we were expecting! I remember everything tasting like sawdust over Xmas when I was about 4 weeks, that was my first symptom and I just thought my mum's cooking was bad and everyone else was too polite to say...!

mrsm22 · 22/02/2014 16:50

Hi Vicky - you'll have to decide when to take a test and see but I hope you do get your BFP. I've had the same symptoms both pregnancies, really bad tiredness in the beginning and I went off a lot of things. I'm 24 weeks and my DS was two at the end of December.
How is everyone else doing? Where is everyone today?

Toothpastekissesno2 · 22/02/2014 22:30

Hi everyone sorry there has been some melt downs.last week was bloody awful for me with this work situation but am trying to draw a line and not waste any more tears. Pregnancy is tough sometimes and makes you feel quite vulnerable. But so does Ttc let's face it! Maybe it's just hard being a woman!
Sorry u fainted bitter that's awful!! Did u recover quickly?
My little boy has stopped eating again ConfusedConfusedConfusedConfused. Very exhausting. He isn't under weight so everyone says not to worry but it's not easy when he refuses everything but biscuits...
Baby is truly kicking now. Even dh has felt it. Much more so than ds was I think at this point.
It's nice to have u lot to chat to especially when having a low day. Might need it on Monday when I have to face the two faced one again!!Hmm
Night all x

mrsm22 · 22/02/2014 22:50

Hi Toothpaste - sorry to hear you're not having a pleasant time at work. I think I may have missed some posts, what's going on there? I don't know if it's similar but I've been having a difficult time at work since last June when I went back after maternity leave. Our team was great before I left but someone started when I was on maternity leave, a woman much older than me who since I've come back has taken a real dislike to me and made work very hard for me and uncomfortable to say the least. She's done lots of different things.... I won't bore you with it but I can't wait to finish next Friday. When do you finish work?
Also sorry to hear about your little boy and his eating but try not to worry as it's probably a phase. My DS is going through an awkward stage with his eating too and it know how stressful it can be. For breakfast he loves a boiled egg and toast at the moment, which I know is great but lunch times can be difficult knowing what to give him as he tends to say no and shake his head at most things. He used to eat so much more like I could give him a bowl of spaghetti hoops for lunch or tomato soup but lately he just says no and if I'm lucky will have a couple of petit filous yoghurts and a fruit pot or fruit. He loves fruit and still has bottles of formula SMA. Tea times are trying too as there's a few meals he likes, spaghetti Bol, roast chicken, rice and pasta and fish which is a good variety but he won't try new things. I think it's just phases with them and stages. Tonight he wouldn't eat his tea and would only have yoghurts and some fruit and toast then a bottle before bed. Could teeth and teething be playing a part as I put that down to a lot of my DS's eating and also mine is too busy to eat. He would rather be busy playing than sitting down to eat. Great news though about your baby kicking, I feel mine a lot too and my DH puts his hand on my tummy to feel him kicking every night which is really nice. Have a good weekend and try not to think about Monday until it comes around x

Vicky5910 · 23/02/2014 08:53

I deliberately didn't take any painkillers yday and was in tears by 4:30 and just went to bed Sad. im hoping to get signed off but I think they will just give me stronger pain killers.
how is everyone else hope you are all having a good Sunday xxx

Metalhead · 23/02/2014 19:01

Evening all, hope everyone's had a nice weekend.

Sorry about your BFN Vicky, it's even more annoying when AF is late and you get your hopes up.

And sorry you're feeling so poorly morerum! You should definitely ask to be signed off, it sounds horrendous.

My parents came today and are staying with us for the week, which is nice. And good timing too, as it looks like DD has caught some sort of tummy bug so we might have to keep her off nursery tomorrow. We went out for pizza at lunch and when we got back home she complained of a tummy ache, then threw up all over the floor and fell asleep at 5pm! At first I thought she might have just eaten too much, but then I remembered a friend's DC had a vomiting bug last week and we saw them on Friday, so it's more likely that DD caught it off them.

2014 just isn't getting any better for us...

Metalhead · 23/02/2014 19:03

Oh and good luck at work tomorrow Toothpaste - hope the two-faced so-and-so leaves you alone.

I've got my yearly appraisal on Tuesday, not sure how I'm going to muster the energy to say anything positive about my job...

HungryHorace · 24/02/2014 08:48

Sorry about your BFN, Vicky, and welcome.

Toothpaste, hope today with the bitch goes well.

Metalhead, hope your DD is feeling better today and tomorrow goes well.

Mrs, work decided I'm going on secondment when I get back. So I'll work til 31+1 before finishing, which is better financially. Mat leave will start at 37 weeks which is fine by me. :-)

HungryHorace · 24/02/2014 08:57

Meant to say, I've started DC 2's cross stitch which is why I've been AWOL. Not enough hands, and it's very time intensive.

I did one for DD, so have to also do one this time. :-)

BetterNotBitter · 24/02/2014 09:12

Hi mrs I was wondering how you were, so exciting for you to be finishing work soon!! No, I can't change midwives without changing doctors surgeries which I don't want to do. I see my consultant for the first time on Wednesday morning though & I have a long list of questions for them so hopefully things will be clearer after that. Personally, I would find it much harder taking my dd with me to appts but only because she's very anxious of strangers and hates going yo the doctors etc. if your ds would be ok you could try taking him and see if she's any better. Have you got a big bump now??

Sorry re bfn and general confusing situation vicky any sign of AF today?

Awwwww morerum that sounds awful! surely they'll sign you off? What time are you seeing the doc?

How are you feeling physically now metal? Hope your dd is better today! It's so horrible when they're poorly.

Hiiiii hungry how are you doing? When do you go back to work?

How's everyone else?? kt? gingerbread? Everyone?

HungryHorace · 24/02/2014 10:38

Hi Better :-)

I'm good, thank you. Lots of round ligament pain, but that's to be expected as it's growth spurt time for baby! I have to keep telling DH not to make me laugh as it hurts!

I go back on 6th March. Boo. But I think I can cope with 3 months. Just!

How're you feeling? What kind of questions do you have for the consultant? I'm seeing one on 26th after my scan and have no questions at all! I'll have to judge it by what he says, I suppose!

I've had a bit of movement the last few days. Have you now?

Have you been to the GP yet, morerum? I hope you got signed off.

Vicky5910 · 24/02/2014 10:46

Thanks for asking Better no sign and feeling really sick!

Sorry I've missed why you might want to change midwives? X

BetterNotBitter · 24/02/2014 11:19

Feeling fine thanks hungry, still haven't totally lost the fatigue, which I thought I would have by now. Yes, I've had the odd cramp accompanied by a baby shaped bulge sticking out for a few weeks now but in the last week or so I'm getting much stronger kick like things, not consistent yet, none yet today! I think I have so many questions as I don't really think there's a need for me to be high risk, I want to ask if everything goes ok up until I go into labour if I'll be able to have a low risk birth, if they can check for growth problems with the baby now, if I'll have to still be high risk if everything's ok with the baby, and much more!!

It's a really long story vicky I think explaining it took my longest post ever! Basically my midwife is incompetent! Still no af is a good thing!! When are you going to poas again??

Vicky5910 · 24/02/2014 11:25

Ah I see. There are so many rubbish middwives, it's shocking!
I think on Wednesday I'll brave testing again. I feel rubbish today :(

CallingAllEngels · 24/02/2014 12:34

Morning ladies.

DS and I had a bug 2 weeks ago metal - hope she's better soon.

AF is finally here so now counting days and getting the opk's out. Feels like an age since mc, and actually just worked out we started ttc 7 months ago!

keeping my fx that March is my month!

morerummorefun · 24/02/2014 12:57

calling your right it does seem like irs taken along time for you to get back on track fx you are successful quickly xx
vicky in a poas fanatic abit like hungry could easily do 3/4 a day woth the ic ones! hope it's a shy bfp!
docs at 2pm hope there feeling sympathetic! xx

BetterNotBitter · 24/02/2014 16:36

Definitely fingers crossed for you engels how are you feeling?

How did you get on with thr doctor morerum?

Metalhead · 24/02/2014 17:51

I'm ok most of the time Better, though it seems every time I think the spotting has finally stopped I get a mini-rush of blood again. It is getting more browny-red though, so hopefully moving in the right direction.

DD was fine today so the tummy bug seems to have been short-lived.

Engels good luck ttc again! hope you get your BFP soon after all this waiting.

Hope you're feeling a bit better now Vicky and good luck with poas again on Wednesday!

Was your GP sympathetic morerum?

morerummorefun · 24/02/2014 18:56

pft was a complete waste of time! basically there is nothing that they can do expect give me crutches and ride it out. wont sign me off as I can go on mat leave in 3 weeks!

Metalhead · 24/02/2014 21:40

That's just rubbish morerum! Angry Is there any way you can start your leave early?

lovesmycake · 25/02/2014 07:12

Wow I'm shocked they wouldn't sign you off morerum 3 weeks is a long time if your in pain!!

Fx for you vicky hope you get your bfp tomo.

Hungry I did a patchwork baby quilt for DS and I'm kinda dreading how I will find the time to do one for no2 if I get the chance!!

We have had a rubbish start to the week as DH has been away with work and me and DS have a stinking cold but dragged myself into work today, and secretly I love it when its just the two of us Grin.

Kt1991 · 25/02/2014 19:53

Hi everyone, sorry not posted for a while, been quite busy, and so tired! Been asleep by 9ish most nights, could go much earlier If I didn't have a cheeky monkey of a DS!
Sorry your in so much pain more can you see a different doctor to see what they say?
Fingers crossed for a BFP vicky!
I'm good thanks, thanks for asking better* have my scan on thurs! I'm so worried though, just want it to be here now! how are you?
How's everyone else doing?
Good luck for March calling!
Not sure if I've posted since your job situation hungry but glad you got the result you wanted! At least it's only for a few months :)

mrsm22 · 25/02/2014 19:57

Hi ladies, I hope everyone is well.
Morerum - I'm so sorry you're feeling that poorly and really hope they sign you off work, best decision all round for you! You can't go on with pain like that and taking 6 paracetamol a day.
Hungry - so they've gone for the secondment option. What days will you when you go back in march? At least you will still finish in 3 months so it's not for long. What is your due date again?
Hi Better - I'm in the same position, I'd have to nice doctors surgeries on order to get a new midwife and can't be bothered with all of the hassle plus I'm quite happy with the surgery. I am working tomorrow half day and then I have an appointment with the midwife in the afternoon, my 25 week one which I was going to take DH to but I can't as I have no one to look after my DS tomorrow. I can't really take my DS as he wouldn't sit still and he'd be running round picking up everything in the room etc. I'll just have to brave it I think and hope she's more friendly. I've got questions I want to ask. I'll let u know how it goes tomorrow!
Vicky - so sorry about your BFN, but it could well be too soon to test. Definitely try test again in a few days. The same happened to me x
