So, here it is, Part 4! May it bring lots of BFP's for those of us still waiting and may it bring happy healthy pregnancies for those who are fabulously pregnant.

Hi Mrs, I had a lovely weekend thanks. Didn't bother taking DD to playgroup this morning, still feeling like I need to recover from sat night and didn't want to have to get up early to rush us both out into the cold!! Feeling a bit of a guilty mum putting her in front of Peppa Pig while I chill out in my pjs!
I think it sounds like you've got an excellent plan there for getting DS into his own bed Grin 3 months should be long enough, I think you will just have to accept that it will be tough going for 5/6 nights while you stay stern with him!!
I definately don't think you are silly for finishing work early, as you know I had planned to do the same, it will be nice to just spend some time just you and DS while you still can, and if you don't plan to go to back to work anyway you may aswell finish as early as you can. Will you tell them you won't be going back? Lots of luck for your scan tomorrow.
Swede sorry, but also hopeful, that you are feeling sick. Do try not to get your hopes up though. I did a bit last month, had some funny symptoms, but then as you know AF got me. Only 4 more days or so though and you can POAS!!
Metal I think you made the right call, it is quite important to be able to breathe! Hope you get plenty of rest and start to feel better.
Hungry thinking of you this morning, you will be having your scan very soon, so fingers crossed for you.

Toothpastekissesno2 · 27/01/2014 12:22

Goodluck hungry! Congrats hazy! (Sorry missed saying that last time)
Mrs if we didn't need the money I would leave work tomorrow! If u can afford it then I think there is nothing wrong with finishing early. I am sure we will all work into old ish age so take the time while u can. Sadly I will be working until three weeks or so before dd. sigh! I like my job but my focus has def slipped since this pg.
swede I'm excited for u! Agree with Lucy though important not to become too convinced just in case (though it does sound promising!)
Here is to a speedy Monday!

HungryHorace · 27/01/2014 12:42

Hi, all fine. Moved forward a week to 7th August. Tall again! 12+4 now then!

I did, Hazel. BF didn't work out for us, so I had 3 periods, though we conceived on a WTF cycle as I skipped one!

I'm so bloody relieved. Picture on Facebook. :-)

SwedeAway · 27/01/2014 12:50

Hungry - That is great news! So pleased for you. Hope you can relax a bit now:)

Lucy, no I am trying to be realistic and not get my hopes up but its not easy. Have severe head ache today and the pain in my ovaries is shooting down to my thighs, super uncomfortable and very strange feeling. Also must have been to the toilet about 6 times before lunch which is not normal for me. Cant tell what's what anymore so will put it all down to symptoms (real or imagined) and wait and wait and wait...

Great news Hungry!

HungryHorace · 27/01/2014 13:19

I'm feeling optimistic for you, Swede. :-) I get that shooting pain too.

And thank you. Very happy now!

HungryHorace · 27/01/2014 14:43

Oh, I can't afford to give them away, but I've two x 10 test boxes of Clearblue digi tests plus a few strays (3) that I don't need now.

I paid £15 a box but will sell for £10 each plus postage (not sure how much that'd be, but can check). They're £18.40 for 10 in Boots at the moment. Is anyone interested before I eBay them?

HazyShadeOfWinter · 27/01/2014 14:50

Hooray hungry great news, and take it just the one in there? Smile

mrs I think leaving as early as possible is brilliant, a friend of mine was on leave from Aug with a DC2 due in December - she loved it, lots of time with DC1 and she stayed really healthy despite lots of health issues first time.

Hi hazel, hope you aren't hanging around too long. (in the nicest way, not meaning to hurry you off the thread...)

swede have you got a project at work or home you can try to focus on during the wait? Not too long now though, if it's 4 days.

HungryHorace · 27/01/2014 15:10

Yes, just the one, thank goodness. :-)

The sonographer was lovely. I told her how nervous I was and she made sure she found the heartbeat ASAP so she could tell me everything was OK. Baby was flinging itself round and waving its little arms and legs!

My placenta is at the front, so movements will be muffled. Boo!

morerummorefun · 27/01/2014 15:52

hungry your picture is amazing congratulations again!
mrsm if I could leave work earlier I would in fact after all the trouble I've had with them lately id leave asap.
not only have they docked me without telling me I have just realised that since going back after having dd (18 months ago) ive not received my monthly bonus this was given to us instead of a pay rise. I assumed this was for full time sraff and never questioned it but I have found out that the other part time person still gets it.
im dreading going into work tomorrow as I will need to say something and im really not a confrontational person. plus being pregnant has made me even more emotionalSad I really dont know what to do should I just leave it or speak up im outta there I less than 3 months anyway! Help! xxx

HazleNutt · 27/01/2014 15:57

thanks hazy - we will see, DS is a bottle refuser, so not likely I will be able to stop bf any time soon. Plenty of women have gotten pregnant during that as well though.

mrsm22 · 27/01/2014 20:07

Evening all,
Congratulations Hungry! Wonderful news and lovely picture. I'm so pleased for you. Is your mins at rest now? Do you reckon girl or boy? I'm thinking you'll have another girl. Hope mine goes as well tomo and Metal has her scan too.
Hi Lucy and Toothpaste - thank you for your words re work and getting my DS in his own bed. It's really exhausting having him in bed with us because he bear hugs me all night (of course that's lovely) but you can't get comfy or sleep properly. I think he would sleep better in his own room too. I have tried many times, don't think I have never tried to put him in his own room. I tried a few weeks ago too and he went to sleep in his room but work up after about an hour and ran through to our room shouting for mama. Anyway the plan is get a new bed that he chooses and give full attention to trying to master it at end of feb! I know you're all right, it will be hard but hopefully achievable!
Hi Hazy - I think you can relax more at home. How are you doing?
Lucy - don't feel lazy or bad for putting your DD in front of Peppa Pig. My DS loves Ceebeebies all of a sudden and I'm feeling really tired at the moment and if I'm feeling exhausted I let him watch that. He likes Postman Pat and Bob the Builder now.
More rum - I'm sorry about your work dilemma. Are you defo not going back there?

HungryHorace · 27/01/2014 20:43

Mrs, yes I do feel better, thank you. :-)

I still think boy, but I can't be relied on as a judge of sex as I got DD wrong!

I hope you find a solution to your DS' bed issues soon. It must be exhausting.

Morerum, do you know the amount they should be paying you? You could sue them for it. Is there anything in writing to say they were going to pay it?

mrsm22 · 27/01/2014 21:41

Hi Hungry - I think me and Lucy have both said another girl for you! Anyway it's such good news you've had today and I bet you're still ringing with excitement from seeing your baby, I know how long you've waited for this day or how long it's felt. I'm really tired today and have an awful headache tonight so I'm going to try get to sleep. I'll update after my scan tomorrow... Eek! Good night everyone x

HazyShadeOfWinter · 27/01/2014 22:38

Hope the headache is better tomorrow mrs so you can enjoy scan fully.

morerume can you focus on the benefits the extra money will bring to your DS and DH? I am not very confrontational either but I find I can be more assertive on behalf of others, especially my DS. So I would be focusing on what the money will bring for him, plus the example I want to set him of how to stick up for himself.

Another thought to avoid the emotions - have everything you want to say planned out, plus their possible responses and how you might respond. As far as possible just stick to a few simple phrases. Try not to get drawn in to other arguments. And yes, look into your legal rights. As its a small company even the mention of courts may be enough to get them to settle since they won't want a long process any more than you do.

SwedeAway · 28/01/2014 04:52

Mrs - Hope you have a wonderful scan today! Will be really excited to hear how it went later.

So I slapped myself in the face last night and decided to do my very best to stop this stupid symptom spotting. It can drive a girl crazy! Think I am half way through the 2ww now so at least there may be light at the end of this particular tunnel. Nothing to report today so I will put yesterday's symptoms down to my imagination.

Hazy - This week is looking crazy for work so I hope that I will be able to keep my mind of 'you know what':)

HungryHorace · 28/01/2014 05:12

It's so hard, isn't it Swede? Takes over any idle moment your brain has! :-/

Are you waiting the full 2 weeks before POAS?

Good luck today, Mrs and Metalhead! I'm sure everything will be fine. :-)

morerummorefun · 28/01/2014 05:36

good luck for thr scans today everyoneSmile .
ive had a good chat with some of my colleagues who have been very supportive and given me some great advice on how to deal with this situation. on the plus side I have a hospital appointment today so will be leaving early xx

BetterNotBitter · 28/01/2014 08:59

Good luck mrs & metal

And also donna at work!

Will post properly later!

guinnessgirl · 28/01/2014 09:38

Swede - I'm halfway through 2ww ATM too - longest two weeks ever! When will you POAS? My AF is due wed 5th, so I'm waiting till then.

good luck Mrs and Metal! And all the best Donna - am praying and willing you to be strong and not too emotional. easier said than done, I know...

SwedeAway · 28/01/2014 10:47

Guinness - My AF is due on the 4th Feb, or at least I think so (counting 14 days from Ov). Think I will POAS on the 4th or possibly the 5th to be on the safe side. Maybe we can have a small POAS party:)

well ladies I dont work hard enough to get my bonus and im unless at what I do do.

HungryHorace · 28/01/2014 14:57

What?!

OK, you need to get to the CAB or an employment lawyer.

I'm sorry they're being so crap. :-( hugs

HazyShadeOfWinter · 28/01/2014 15:19

Oh poor you! I agree get some proper advice.
And your DH is right, they are a shower of shites.

Metalhead · 28/01/2014 15:54

Hi ladies, I've just come back from my scan and I have to say it hasn't really put my mind at ease at all, in fact I'm more worried now than I was before! Sad

We did see a heartbeat, but the sonographer put me at just 6+2, which is frankly impossible as baby would have had to have been conceived 1.5 weeks after we had sex and 2 days before I got my BFP. So now of course I'm thinking there must be something wrong with it and it's not growing properly.

The sonographer was trying to be reassuring but was very non-committal, just saying there are sometimes warning signs that babies aren't growing well but she didn't see any of them. Still, I'm feeling really down at the moment, was expecting to be all excited and a bit more reassured about it all and instead I'm worse off than before. I think I will have to pay for another private scan in maybe 2-3 weeks, don't think I can wait until 10 March for my 12-week one... (If I ever get that far).

mrsm I hope you had a better scan!

That's just incredible be behaviour from your employer morerum! You should definitely seek some advice.
