imps just to give another perspective, my boss doesn't know about our ivf after 2.5 rounds. I've only had 1 blood test and 1 scan for each full round (actually two scans for the first as they wanted to check on my fibroid) I could get blood tests done from 7:15 am, so no missing work there. Also my clinic always does 2 day transfers so there was never any question of which day it was going to be (once they had decided when egg collection was going to be anyway)

Having a rather nice long weekend here, and we have another one next weekend too :o

Thanks for congrats re: bloods - I do feel a bit like I've passed an exam. Wonder what the HSG will show - although I guess it doesn't matter if I've got shit tubes does it (am assuming you don't need tubes for IVF??)

Beedle thanks for telling me about your scans/bloods. It would be far far happier not to tell work - you never actually know how they're going to react/treat you do you? How are you and Mr B?

What are you weekend plans everyone? I am going for a Tourmaker training session tomorrow as I'm volunteering at the Tour de France in July. Exciting!

Oooooh just got three letters from the NHS! I am on the waiting list for the HSG, have a pelvic ultrasound on 14 June and our next consultation is 26 Aug. It's actually happening!!

Not many plans here, off to see my brother tomorrow and check out my new trailer its for my camping stuff :) we've needed a trailer for a while and just bought this one, it needs a bit of love but it'll be great :) I realise how over excited I am by a trailer

ooh imps yay! no, no need for tubes for ivf but sometimes hsgs dislodge something and can help. where there's a sperm there's a way. I think it was biscuits who the hsg was the magic thing for?

Hello solars, I have missed you all, its nice to be in company with those who get the TTC madness although I am sorry its been such a slog for some of us.

Well I am starting another TWW I think, I suppose there are some advantages of a short cycle (25 days). Managed to DTD on day 9 and 11 and had a solid smiley on day 11 which tied in with EWCM so lets see where we get to. DH tried to complain about it last night but I just got naked in the kitchen and he was resigned to the fact that it was happening. He is being much more co-operative this time around!

Still thinking of you cups in case you are checking in, and hoping that maybe you just tested too early.

HURRAHHHHH Far you are officially PUPO! TAKE THAT IN THE FACE, AF. Glad DH is more obliging this time - nice thing about IVF is that it actually takes all the pressure off re: shagging - it's just like old times now for me and Mr I :)

Things are good at Imps Towers thanks Boo - I have my HSG next Tuesday, womble scan on Saturday (had no idea they did weekend appointments!) at the same time that Mr I has his bollock scan. Then once Mr I has had his last blood tests to test hormones/genetics, it's a matter of coastin' and chillin' until 26 Aug when we have our next consultation. I guess there's a chance we could start IVF before Christmas!

Incidentally, I was looking up the employment law position with regards to IVF today and - officially - as soon as the embryo has been implanted the woman is officially considered to be (as far as employment law is concerned anyway) Pregnant Until Proven Otherwise!! European judges are clearly Brookers.
