It's not the legs in the air as such, it's putting a pillow under your bottom thus tilting your pelvis so the sperm is helped by gravity (swimming downwards) that is supposed to help.

I don't know if that's true or not, if there's slow motility in sperm I guess it is logical that it would help.

Just been clue-ing my OH in on some of the MN terminology (as I've taken to writing coded things on the calendar so I can keep track of what I'm doing without anyone else knowing all of the details!) and explaining why I keep chuckling at some of the comments you, my fellow viroids, make. He doesn't seem to find it quite as funny as I do, but the terms 'icing' for ovulating, 'breadsticks' for breasticles and 'doing the dirty' (or just plain 'shagging') for having sex seem to have brought a smile to his face. He thinks I'm nuts for laughing to myself over something so random as coded conversations about sex :p. Ah well, it's all this TTC malarkey that's sent me wappy .

minion - I really hope it's a BFP waiting for you in a few days time, however, I agree with the others that an extra session of DTD can't hurt (although I bet you're knackered after all the times you've done it so far this cycle! Still, this could be the all important one and you'll kick yourself if you miss it at least that's what I'd do, and also what I keep telling myself when I'd rather go straight to sleep instead of DTD. I forget who said it but thinking of DTD as a quick job that needs to be done before bed (like brushing your teeth) is a helpful way of keeping up the motivation! even though it is disheartening to think that you might have to do it all again next cycle if it doesn't work out this time, but just put that to the back of your mind and get on with it.

I've done the pillows every DTD of every cycle for 14 cycles too grrrr

This cycle DP's suggested lying on my back with legs tucked onto my chest & swaying from side to side. He thinks this will help shake the sperm into the right place. I think he's just taking the piss but what the hell I'll try anything. I'm now in the TWOT so I guess we'll find out if it works in a couple of weeks.
