I'm refusing to symptom spot this month, but my contraband temping is confusing the hell out of me, it's fluctuating like crazy, which makes me think it's all bollocks. My only symptom is feeling very emotional... I just cried at Wanted Down Under...!

Anyone else dreading the new series of One Born Every Minute, due to begin next week? It used to be my favourite show, and it would always make me cry (before I was ttc). I learned so much from it, but I just dont think I can cope with it this time around. But I do love it... anyone else going in for self torture?

michonne there really is no point temping once you've confirmed ov. you will just stress yourself out, as you clearly already know! so many things can affect it. you can't confirm or rule out pg from it. put down the thermometer and one back over from the dark side to the jsing way! I used to temp all month when we started ttc, then I stopped temping after I've and it mad such a difference. it meant ttc wasn't the first thing I thought of when I woke up for at least half the month!

as for one born, I LOVE that show. it will hurt, I will cry, but I will NOT miss it!

you're dead right Lil I think it did help me to confirm Ov this month, so I'll give it a rest for now.

I'm just quite analytically minded so I like to see how my body is working, I like graphs etc...

But yeah, might give it a rest for the remainder of this cycle.

Thanks so much. Didn't want you to think I'd dropped off the face of the earth. It is hard with all the waiting Lil but bizarrely you do kind of get used to it because it becomes your normal state of being I guess and I just relaxed into it. Obvs I do have my moments of rage, but then I think that's normal.

The one thing I just want to say to all of you shaggers is keep at it and try not to lose faith. DH and I, and I guess Red and Mr Red, are in a tiny minority (about 7% I think) who it hasn't worked out for, but are able to do something about it which will hopefully work. You guys just need to keep at it. Even with all our problems the consultant we saw was very optimistic that we have a good chance if it happening naturally still. Crazy? Maybe, but I liked her style. We saw another couple in the waiting room who looked so sad and I just wanted to go over and hug the woman. She looked defeated. Tres emotional. I went for a friendly smile instead.

Just one other thing I wanted to share with you all was that I went for a dildocam while I was there and it was about 5 days after ov and she said she could see the corpus luteum so I know for sure I ov now. Why don't they just dildocam you so you know for sure before all the faffing with bloods? I know they want to check hormone levels and all that jazz, but it would have saved me a lot of time and heartache if I'd known before via dildocam. Bet it's to do with 'resources'.

Anyway, don't give up dudes, is my message.

Just to echo bear's awesome post, we got the results of DH's SA and it was suboptimal, a couple of things were on the very bad end of the scale. . I have had a bit of a panic but I guess one was working one day lately!

DH is out so I'm getting pissed in front of the telly! Hoping to tempt the law of sod! Maybe that's where I should keep all those things I keep losing like my keys or maybe my suitcase when it isn't needed?
