Um hello, newbie, ttc, needing a place to talk to people :)

I've been reading the site for ages but decided to sign up as need an outlet and place to talk as ttc is quite secret and it's not something I have loads of people I could talk about it with. Plus I'm quite shy and my ovaries aren't something to bring up at social gatherings!
I'm 31, came off pill in October and me and boyfriend have been ttc since. I didn't know how long it would take to get back to normal as had been on pill for eleven years. Turns out it took four weeks, and am now on third AF since coming off, so annoyingly normal in one way! I'm getting my head round all this tracking stuff but don't want it all to get clinical with the fella as it takes the fun away!
So just wanted to say hi and hopefully share in people's stories. It's not all as straightforward as I always thought, and I'm always the one that would start panicking something was wrong with me. I'm pleased I found somewhere I can just write it down if nothing else.
So, hi, and hopefully can take some good advice away.

Same as u Helen, CD45! Remember I got a positive opk on like, day 33?! I tried to take a pic but it just looked like a bfn as the line was so bloody microscopic

Awww bless you. I definitely need some positiveness at the minute! Are you going to test again in the morning?

That's the plan, although I'm DYING to test tonight The waiting is agony! And I keep googling stuff as well haha

Oh my god I've just tested (I couldn't help myself!!) with a fr and there's a definite line! I'm shaking, can't quite believe it.

Do you know what Helen, I became quite demoralised at my long cycles but so glad I kept doing OPKs as I would never have dreamed I would've ovulated that late. If I hadn't done those I doubt we would've DTD enough around that time to be honest! Xx

Awe that's such good news. Don't blame you for testing again :) I'm so excited for you (and jealous if I'm honest!!!) So what's the plan now?! When are you going to tell people?!

Yeah we've said we're just going to have to keep going until AF rocks up next month. Probably going to be v tiring!!

Ahh thank u so much I want everyone on here to feel this feeling NOW! I will tell my close friends who know I've been TTC but wait a while to tell others... It's so nerve racking, now I'm just worried about what happens if it turns into a chemical as I'm testing early!

I've just logged onto MN on my lap top (usually use my phone) and the green heart that I type on my phone comes up as a green face on the laptop! So sorry if you see a green face but I actually typed a heart!! Annoying

Sorry just realised I didnt properly explain the above. I mean mumsnet kind of makes you think chemical pregnancies and mc's are quite common, but I dont think it's that common. Women who it happens to just come on sites to talk dont they.

Ahh thank you! Yeah I know what u mean about chemicals etc... They seem verrrry common on these kind of sites you're right, just gotta try not to think about it so much! Thanks for your supportive words, I know how hard that is when you yourself want to be on the other end!

Yeah exactly. Just look after yourself and hope for the best! Yeah I do wish I had my bfp but I think it would be time to have a long hard look at myself if I wasn't happy for you lot :) and I'm sure my time will come :)

Aww no I don't feel anything other than some cramping like AF is gonna gush at any moment haha... I hope she stays the f* away! I will be testing daily to make sure that line gets darker and then I'm not sure... I've been waiting for this moment and now I don't know what to do next haha

Im a bit scared tbh!! Gonna test again in the morning but mainly coz I bought a twin pack :-) will probs go straight docs too as need advice coz of all the sport I do. Don't feel pregnant, just sick which has been the feeling of choice for about 5 days now :-(

Ah here she is! Hope you don't end up having a sicky pregnancy! Yeah good plan. Think it seems to be if you did it before, you can carry on as long as it's not contact sport obviously! Post a pic of your test tomorrow :)
