Over here all breastfeeding ttcers! Welcome to our thread - a place for us to come for support, information and to talk about the extra challenges of ttc while still breastfeeding (or expressing like myself).

I thought I should go ahead and start the new thread as the old one is about to fill up and I didn't want anyone to get lost (hope that's ok Waiting and that you haven't already done this and I just missed it!)

For anyone who is new to the thread or needs a reminder, here are a few links to some useful websites (thanks Waiting for putting these together)

hi madrigal. Thanks for the message. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do. Have to be referred to epu via gp and I'm not sure I can face post BH weekend rush at the doctors. Maybe I'll change my mind in an hour! Dh is back at work today so I'd be stuck for childcare if i go to hospital alone or he has to take time Off work first day back. Being attacked by a smelly bummed child!

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 22/04/2014 09:56

Mrsd sounds like you're having a tough week Thanks my sister also had several big bleeds in her first perfectly healthy pregnancy so it does seem fairly common, fingers crossed for you. It must be doubly tough with a poorly ds demanding all your attention (I have one of those at the moment too). It's not worth sitting and worrying all day though if you can get checked out to reassure yourself, is it worth calling epu to see if you can self-refer, or do you have a midwife yet you could call to talk to? Would your DH's work be understanding if he had to leave early to look after ds so you could go up late afternoon? Or could he go with you or to a friend for couple of hours? I am missing work today as ds is ill but am very lucky to have an extremely reasonable employer.

Welcome cherry, nice to have you in our cafe, when are you thinking of starting ttc?

Thinking of you mrs-hope you are feeling better and bleeding has slowed.. It's so unfair that some epus require gp referral and in some areas you can self refer in situations like yours.

junebaby2011 · 22/04/2014 15:16

Welcome cherry and hello to weebairn-reading stories about successful pregnancies while bf is hugely uplifting for me!

back at work today which is helping me keep busy but I've no clue what I'm doing! Made the call to my gp this morning and she said she'd make the referral and also chase up mws. Its got worse rather than better but not in pain so still hopeful but not admitting that out loud!

Ds is loads better thankfully which helps. Mister hope your lo gets better soon.

I'm keen to hear some news of fab bfps soon! This board helps keep me sane and hopeful!

hope you're hanging on in there June Thanks

Hi Madrigals! No cramping or any sign of my period appearing but I'm comforted by posters on my previous thread who conceived without one! The plan is to start TTC after the summer. We'd like to get DS's first Birthday passed us and I'd like a bit of fun this summer Grin in case I have horrendous morning sickness again! I also want to be fitter first! Could someone please explain some of the acronyms for me? I'm on my phone so can't look back up the thread to copy then but I remember AF, 2ww, EC something! Sorry if they are obvious and I'm being a bit dim!

Grin Wine ( not any more but the sentiment at least) CONGRATULATIONS Madrigals

Not sure if you remember me but I have not posted for ages as I was getting too obsessive and decided to tone it down, but I have been lurking... And I'm really pleased for you!

We are still trying but I am taking the approach of trying to be blasé and letting it happen whenever... Also had some unsuccessful night weaning attempts so we want to see if things improve as dd gets older (she is 14 mo now)

Such great news and a real inspiration!

Wonderful news Madrigals! Great news to cheer up the day (AF this morning Sad, DD been poorly so the whole house stinks of poo and work is being rubbish, ah well might as well stack up the reasons to scoff more chocolate...). Many congratulations, enjoy the shock and surprise. So relieved to hear it can work while BF!!

Wooohoooo! Congratulations Madrigals! What wonderful news, you must be feeling quite stunned as you didn't seem to be too hopeful a few days ago. Enjoy the pregnancy glow! I make that an early new year due date, lovely lovely.
Sorry about AF mrsc, hope you can enjoy a nice large glass of wine and plenty of Easter eggs to make you feel better.
Will catch up with other posts later as I'm on my phone and can't check back.
15dpo for me, no AF yet but she's a-comin. Temps dipped a bit this morning which is a sure sign, hey ho on to month 9.
