Over here all breastfeeding ttcers! Welcome to our thread - a place for us to come for support, information and to talk about the extra challenges of ttc while still breastfeeding (or expressing like myself).

I thought I should go ahead and start the new thread as the old one is about to fill up and I didn't want anyone to get lost (hope that's ok Waiting and that you haven't already done this and I just missed it!)

For anyone who is new to the thread or needs a reminder, here are a few links to some useful websites (thanks Waiting for putting these together)

madrigals I'll be 9 weeks tomo going by my dates not the scan. I'm pleased ms has started so much later than with Ds so hopefully it won't last more than a couple of weeks.
Dh is being a dream with Ds whilst he's sick and I'm being pathetic. Benefit to both having this week Off work. Feeling blessed. Hope everyone has a nice bank holiday weekend. Easter Smile

Hi everyone-thanks for thoughts.

It's not good news-diagnosed with missed miscarriage. Got to wait two weeks now for things to pass naturally as hospital not keen on surgical/medical management.

I feel in a better place for knowing but sad as 2nd loss in 6 months. Will try again but also worried as I'm 37 now and egg quality obviously not as good as it was.

mrsdiddlydoo · 17/04/2014 20:15

June I'm sorry it wasn't better news. I hope the next couple of weeks pass quickly. You know where we are Thanks Thanks Big un MN hug x

MrsConfusion · 17/04/2014 22:58

So sorry to hear your news June Thanks take care of yourself. We're here if you need somewhere to vent. Sending you hugs if you want them. I completely understand your worry but fwiw I don't think 37 is very old to be ttc and I'm sure your chance will come soon.

Thanks everyone got kind words and thoughts.

I know at 37 I've still got time but having 2 in a row has really thrown me.

Still nothing happening here (no bleeding)-so still playing the waiting game.

We have booked flights to Portugal for May half term-to join the rest of dp family in a villa. We weren't going to go because of the cost of flights and saving for maternity leave.. So that is something to look forward to.

Hope everything is well with the rest of you kind ladies.

Happy Easter everyone! Hope you're all enjoying the bank holiday weekend, we are madly packing here as we're moving house next week.

June more Thanks for you, Portugal holiday sounds just the right thing. 2 mc in a row would throw anyone, hope you're having a nice relaxing weekend off.

How's your 2ww going Mad? I am 12dpo, chart not looking hopeful but sore boobs and yesterday I full on sobbed because I overcooked the supper Confused so not sure what to think! I suspect it's just hormones being all over the place, so am trying not to think about it.

Mrs and mrs, how are things with you both?

Hello,

Just popping in to say hi, as the founder of the weebairn method :)
Not so much of the weebairn method these days as tired and upduffed Grin

So I'm 17 weeks now and feeling a bit better. To be honest I hate the first half of pregnancy, all the secrecy and sickness and tiredness and you don't even look pregnant. Second half I enjoy the attention :) But yes all the sickness has gone and tiredness isn't too bad now. I haven't got a bump yet, a little bit bigger round the middle maybe, but still in my normal clothes, so no one's really noticed (I was like this last time, and I'm short and a size 8/10 so no idea where they hide! She was quite a little baby mind…) I've told my nearest and dearest but not work yet and still doing night shifts and that. Bit knackering! They were bastards to me last pregnancy so just can't even be bothered telling them until I have to.

Looking forward to getting past the 20 week scan and actually getting a bump and then will start making proper plans. Toddler is a delight at the moment (and sleeping!) so this is massively helpful. Fingers crossed it lasts!

We are still breastfeeding here - just once a day in the morning. It's a little bit painful, but not too bad, and I don't reckon there's a lot of milk there, but she still seems happy and so no plans to stop bf as yet.

Wishing you ladies all the best and think of you often.

Thanks Madrigals, exciting times! Fingers crossed for you this month. I never got any symptoms till a couple of weeks after BFP… but the 2ww is enough to drive any woman crazy!

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 21/04/2014 14:41

Hi weebairn, wow 17 weeks already, that's gone quick though maybe not for you! Good to hear that all is going well.

My 2ww is dragging too Madrigals, although I am 13dpo now but last cycle AF didn't arrive til 17 dpo so may still have another 4 days to go. Did you say you have a long luteal phase sometimes too? I thought it was always 14 days or less provided ovulation has happened but obviously not!

Like you I seem to be very over-emotional at this stage every cycle now, which makes it difficult to tell if it could be pg related. It never used to happen before ds so I guess maybe a bf thing?

I've sort of written this cycle off already so just waiting for AF really, although it's interesting you say you had no early symptoms weebairn, not even sore boobs? With my ds it was so obvious from about 5dpo that I kind of give up on it by 10dpo if there are no clear signs.

weebairn · 21/04/2014 15:34

ha, felt endless till 13 weeks but hasn't been so bad since!

No, had no sore boobs at all this time round. (Which must be because of the breastfeeding?) It is a little sore to feed since 2nd trimester, but not the boobs themselves. They are maybe one cup size bigger now but that didn't happen till a couple of weeks ago. First pregnancy they were sore and big within a couple of weeks - but pretty sure no symptoms before BFP which was a day or two after period was due. Sickness started about 5/6 weeks this time, 7 weeks last time.

Everyone is so different!

cherrylola · 21/04/2014 18:45

Hello all! I'm coming to join you by invitation of Weebairn and Madrigals. I'm not TTC just yet but it won't be too long before DP and I get started!
We have 1 DS (10 months), and are Breast feeding, baby led weaning, co sleeping and baby wearing.

mrsdiddlydoo · 21/04/2014 23:02

Hi everyone. Welcome Cherrylola! Hope you like cake and tea!

Did everyone have a nice weekend? Hope you managed to get some packing done Mister.

Weebairn I'm so happy everything is going well with your pregnancy and pleased to hear BF is still going well for now. Do you plan to tandem feed?

June Portugal sounds amazing and just what the doctor ordered! Hope you've had a ok weekend and managed to eat lots of chocolate.

Got my fingers and crossed for the 2WW gals!

mrsdiddlydoo · 21/04/2014 23:07

So... I feel like I'm having the worse April ever and I know I'm not, I have my family and health but this week has been tough. DS has scarlet fever. I've been ill all weekend - just feeling human again. Bit of spotting this morning which I've ignored, but coming to bed it's worse. Much worse. Feeling very emotional and trying to stay positive but .... Hey diddly do. Hoping I manage a good nights sleep to help me through whatever tomorrow brings. DH is not being helpful. Stuck in a computer game or something I really don't understand. Just his way of dealing with things. I'm sorry for the moan. I really appreciate having you guys to do this at. Grin Right... bed
