  1. The year of the rainbow baby. We pledge to be positive (most of the time). We pledge to cry less, shag more and swear lots. This is the one wannamummabees!

The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Yup Parsley, we got all usual tests. Three SA's for DP (all normal), a few dildo cams to check ovaries etc, HSG, bloods etc. My problem was I wasn't ovulating on my own. Consultant thought it may have been due to being on depo provera for years but that wasn't certain. So I was put on Clomid last year, 5th round got us the BFP. The Clomid seems to have worked again this month so fingers crossed.

I have a new worry now though - at my first early scan last year (where everything was happy and normal), the sonographer pointed out that I have a septate (not bicornate as I thought) uterus. I've obviously terrified myself by googling about this. I have an appointment at the fertility clinic next week so I'll be hassling them to investigate this further.... It sometimes requires surgery if it's very septate Sad

Good idea Parsley, as I'm a newbie its nice to see everyones history. Although my moaning seems ridiculous as some of you have had horribly long and bumpy journeys. Really do wish you all well, sticky beans for everyone please!!

Does anyone take Pregnacare? And does it make you really queasy? I had just been taking folic acid, switched to tesco conception (as on offer) then to pregnacare (recommend by docs and on offer). From wed last week I have felt queasy on and off - not pg as only ov on Fri Wink Realised this more or less coincided with change. Read label in box. It does say not to take on an empty stomach - sometime I do but would eat very soon after. So didn't take this morning. Will switch to pm instead. So far so goodSmile

Some horrible reading in the stats. Mine go

I'm not due to come on til Wednesday next week so am definitely testing early. Blush

Sal1977 · 21/01/2014 14:43

Seaside - actually the consultants have been great and counted 2 x CP into the mix. They've done all the normal bloods, SA and scans and all seems ok. DH sperm is low on the morphology side at 4% normal but he has lots of it to make up for that. The aspirin and heparin I think is a bit of a catch all treatment and if that doesn't work we're straight onto ICSI so they can pick out the good looking sperm in case the fugly ones are causing the problem.

My favourite word at the moment is Fucktard. I also use the 'C' word about 64 times a day, but not in public.

Seasides · 21/01/2014 15:44

Ah, total memory fail on my part, I forgot about the heparin/aspirin advice. No idea how, sorry. Very glad you're getting the attention you deserve, fingers crossed you get the sticky bean you deserve v. soon.

MissHobart · 21/01/2014 15:44

Oh and for the stats I'm 33.

Sal - I love the word fucktard! Also use the C word a LOT, again only to myself! Grin

Sal1977 · 21/01/2014 15:57

Actually, me and DH call each other variations of the 'C' word all the time. In an affectionate way. As in "what do you want for dinner C**tychops?" Hehe

I'm another casual C-Bomber!! DH and I also use it as a skewed term of endearment!

Parsley2506 · 21/01/2014 16:29

I am a big fan at the moment of 'cockwomble' and 'douche canoe'. They just trip off the tongue so nicely!

Holly I just started taking them today, was on Boots version before. I shall watch out for these symptoms tho!

Otter I don’t know too much about septate uterus’ (uterii?? Wtf is the plural?). Hopefully you’ll get some answers on that a.s.a.p. We’re at a fairly annoying stage now. Obviously I am glad we got an unassisted bfp eventually, but it does now mean we’re back at the bottom of the heap in terms of any further assistance if it takes ages again (PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE NO!). We’ve sort of half agreed if it takes 6m + again we’re going to demand another referral. I am not getting any younger!

No cbd tests left anywhere near me Hmm Did just POAS which has lines, negative as expected but still a bit disappointed.

fedupofrainydays · 21/01/2014 17:13

Wow, busy day on here!
sal willyslappers (like that one) to temp drop and spotting. But good plan for this month already showing the posifrickintivity there.

I'm just bloody knackered today. Literally not stopped at work, on the plus side I probably didn't think about babies for a good few hours! That was until I got a text back from one of my friends who had her baby the other day. I asked how she was getting on and how the baby was settling in with her other kids. She knows about my mc but felt the need to rub it in my face and I quote 'it's just so lovely having a newborn'. Ugh. I need a textcation as well as a facecation now!

Can someone add me to the stats please:

Justonemoretime · 21/01/2014 17:37

Otters I had a heart shaped uterus with a septum and I ended up having it removed at St Mary's. This was a simple day procedure and I then had 2x IUDs in and HRT for a month while it all healed up. It wasn't too painful. To be honest it was not likely to have been the cause of my MCs but it was almost certainly the reason that I had so many issues with retained products after ERPCs (I had to have a few repeat procedures - if there was a barrier in the way, it makes sense as to which they kept missing a bit). Hope you get it sorted. I was told it may affect implantation as it gets a lining but its thinner, but the chances of the bean implanting there are quite low. It can cause some issues at the late stages of pg (that mythical state!).

My stats:
Just TTC#1 MMC 6 and a bit weeks after hb, ERPC, Nov 2011; TTC#1 MMC 6 and a bit weeks after hb, ERPC x2 and hysteroscopy for retained products then HRT to heal, May 2012; TTC#3 MMC 9-10 weeks, good scan at 9.1 wks (discovered at 13), ERPC, Turner Syndrom. Tests at St Mary's, Uterus op Oct 2013; TTC#2 BPN Jan 2014...

Triplespin · 21/01/2014 17:37

Thank you for adding the stats.
parsley we have/had a 6 month rule too, especially given my age. So 7 months on, I have an appointment at a private fertility centre to get some investigations going. Already had my bloods done on NHS, but they won't find any fertility treatment as I already have a DS. Fx, will report back from my appointment next week.
hollyben I have always taken pregnacare after dinner as well. The packaging states that, so maybe there is a link?

Justonemoretime · 21/01/2014 17:38

oops, I'm 37

fedupofrainydays · 21/01/2014 17:41

I know sal. I've can't bring myself to reply to the token 'how are you' question at the end of the gushing text for fear of what I might say...

Feel free to put words in my mouth (or fingers) if you like?

Justonemoretime · 21/01/2014 17:44

Think I've misunderstood the #code... I've used it to mean months tryibg TTC. Blush

fedupofrainydays · 21/01/2014 19:31

I've just chewed down a huge piece of port salut. Nothing like some pregnancy illegal cheese..

Parsley2506 · 21/01/2014 19:41

Agh fedup don't tempt me! I'll pen something probably even more poisonous than you were thinking!

just what a shitty run of it you've had, i didn't realise. I'll amend stats later, do you want me to just take those bits out? I get confused with acronyms and whatnot all the damn time!

triple I really hope you get some positive steps in action after your appt? I keep thinking we should demand our basic tests done again but then I think 'well we DID manage to get pg that one time' and then think what's the point. DH told me 'not to get so stressed' yesterday and while I did have the typical murderous thought process immediately after I can admit I am definitely an over analyser and a fixer. I hate waiting, I hate not having things happen when I deem they should. I am basically the natural enemy of ttc! Can anyone tell me how do you NOT obsess over this business? Hmm
