  1. The year of the rainbow baby. We pledge to be positive (most of the time). We pledge to cry less, shag more and swear lots. This is the one wannamummabees!

The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Think the trout should also be aimed in my direction deusecat! I poas yesterday too. Because my ov is AWOLl i thought i'd just check in case i'd had very early ov after the mc! Obviously bfn!

Parsley2506 · 21/01/2014 09:35

I should have done the voodoo dance - the witches broom is hovering above ground now. Really crampy and brown blood now (not spotting). My cycle is now 31 days as opposed to 29 pre MC. Didn't OPK this month but I think we could well have missed the proper dates as I was going off my usual 29 day dates. Dusting off my CBFM tomorrow!

Just to add insult to injury, I've realised my 20 week scan would've been this week. I wish I wasn't at work right now, I could do with a good blubfest on the sofa of tears with my cat! Hmm

OttersPocket · 21/01/2014 09:39

Good morning everyone, I've just caught up with the thread and all of your stories are making me giggle like a mad woman in my office today. I'll join in the anti-AF dance with you all!

Well it seems as if I ovulated yesterday - first ov since mc. I am however absolutely convinced we haven't caught it this month. SMEP was going so well. Positive OPK on Sat evening so we dtd on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. Didn't mange to dtd yesterday though as DP wasn't up for it. Cue me harboring evil thoughts about him etc etc Angry especially as I only noticed ewcm yesterday. Anyway, I'm sure that we've messed our chance up this month because of it.

Someone please slap me and tell me it's still possible, I'm turning into a crazy person again and I hate it.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 21/01/2014 09:41

Oh parsley why doesnt the witch understand that she is not welcome round here!! Sorry you're feeling a bit teary today, sending you hugs and lots of luck for next cycle!!
I'm really tempted to blow the budget and get a cbfm! I've just ordered some i/c's but not sure how much i'm going to like the fact that i have to interpret them myself!! We'll see!

OttersPocket · 21/01/2014 09:42

Big hugs to you Parsley My 20 week scan would be next week. It sucks, it's not fair. and you're allowed to be angry and upset. Thanks and Cake for you lovely.

MissHobart · 21/01/2014 09:46

Otters - Keep dtd! You should carry on just in case! Grin

Boobs even more achy this morning, I'm pregnant! Hmm

OttersPocket · 21/01/2014 09:59

MissHobart I shall jump on -not so dear-- DP this evening! My boobs are achy this morning though which is a sure sign ov has occurred. Guess this means it's the start of the 2ww then. Sigh.

OttersPocket · 21/01/2014 10:00

Ooh, underline fail!

Fingers crossed for you MissHobart

deuscat · 21/01/2014 10:20

English I am glad it's not just me breaking the rules! Unfortunately my lack of imagining symptoms has only lasted a few hours. I'm having weird sharp stabbing cramps, nothing like my usual pre-AF cramps. Still could be nothing exciting. I just want to know now!!

Parsley sorry you're feeing down todayThanks

Otters there is still a chance!

MissHobart fingers crossed for you

Sal1977 · 21/01/2014 10:22

Ballbags fucksticks wankbucket willyslapper. Temp dropped to cover line this morning and now started spotting.

So, this month I aim to get a smear test done, lose a few pounds, have acupuncture, start on the heparin and properly do SMEP til we can't SMEP no more!

All the above swearwords on repeat for you sal, that's arse. I hate her to the point that I actually dislike the name Florence now because it reminds me of Aunty Flo. Sorry if any of your real names are Florence...I used to like it.

I'm sure you'll catch it english - sperm live in you up to 5 days, so Sunday's would def count, and I think it still works the day of/day after ov, it's just better to have it waiting there. HOW do people get accidentally knocked up, it's just not that easy! How do we have a population problem?!

Seasides · 21/01/2014 10:55

Oh no, not english, I mean otters!

Parsley2506 · 21/01/2014 11:15

deus and English fish duly being thrown at you from afar, although with zero intent really – ttc makes nutjobs of us all!

otters you should def. keep dtd and try not to be too despondent about missing a night, as we all know now our bodies do just love to contradict what we think we know about them and our cycles (if they didn’t we’d all be diffed by now!)

My best friend is being induced this AM. Despite all my doom & gloom I am so excited for her. I am looking forward to holding a squidgy little newborn soon (OK it won’t be mine but I know she won’t judge me for potentially blubbing all over it!).

This is such a (sadly) busy thread. We don’t have a list on this new one so I thought it might be good to do one quickly for any newbies/lurkers etc. (plus I struggle to remember everyone’s individual circumstances myself!). I’ll start, and happy to compile later too;

Parsley - 32, ttc #1 for 22 months, BFP 1st Oct ‘13, MMC Nov 15th ‘13

OttersPocket · 21/01/2014 11:43

Good idea Parsley - we are incredibly similar in our TTC quest!

Otters - 32, ttc #1 for 22 months, BFP 26 Oct '13, MMC 25th Nov '13

Sal1977 · 21/01/2014 11:54

Was just thinking this morning this would be a good plan:

Seasides 27, TTC #1 for 16 months, BFP Dec 12, EP Dec 12.

JBrd · 21/01/2014 12:18

Good idea!

JBrd, 42, 1 DS, ttc #2 for 18 months, MC Jan 2013, MC April 2013, MC Aug 2013

MissHobart · 21/01/2014 12:32

In my WTF cycle, seen my therapist this morning and decided to test using cbd tonight and with fmu tomorrow, expecting bfn but will be good to have confirmation for another week and will mean I can get pissed tonight and tomorrow! Grin

My friend had her pink one on Saturday, I've blubbed in happiness for her and again when she texted me as Aunty!! Cannot wait to hold the squishy bundle! I will also blub over the baby! Grin

MissHobart - ttc #1, cycle 12, 2 x mc last year (each after 5 months ttc) both at six weeks. Bloods being taken tomorrow! Hmm

deuscat · 21/01/2014 12:33

Sal sorry to hear that AF is now knocking at the door. I think she is at mine, too. Had a fair bit of brown cm on wiping. I've never spotted before a period before but I guess things can change following a mc? Still holding onto some hope though Shock

deuscat, 30, ttc #1 for 5 months, BFP 5th December ended in mc at 7+4 on 25th December

MissHobart · 21/01/2014 12:33

mc July '13 and December '13.

Triplespin · 21/01/2014 12:37

oh sorry to hear about the witch parsley and the temperature drop sal.
deus and english - i'll fling a salmon at you ! deus it is far too early for you to test if AF is due on Sunday. I was doing the same thing though - first post mc cycle - testing at 5dpo :)

I am probably the longest standing member here.

stats below:
triplespin - 35 - TTC#2 (3 months) MC at 5.3 wks - June 2013, nothing so far :(

Penguin13 · 21/01/2014 12:40

This is where I feel guilty for moaning when I know what an easy road I've had compared to most of you....

Penguin13, 33 (soon to be 34), TTC #1 for 7 months. BFP Sept 13. Mmc and ERPC Nov 13.

Parsley2506 · 21/01/2014 12:43

Gosh otters we really are identikit ttcers!! Did you get any testing done in the loooooong wait for your first BFP? We did the usual battery of bloods, SA and I even had a dildocam scan HSG but we're both 'normal' apparently (just very slow to catch it seems). Trying not to pin my hopes on a quicker go this time round but it's so hard not to!

Here's the list so far, will update again later with anyone I've missed. Such a sad list of lost babies;

Parsley - 32, ttc #1 for 22 months, BFP 1st Oct ‘13, MMC Nov 15th ‘13
Otters - 32, ttc #1 for 22 months, BFP 26 Oct '13, MMC 25th Nov '13
Sal1977 - 36 21, TTC #1 18months, CP jul 12, BFP Jan13 MMC Mar13, BFP Jul 13 MC Aug 13, CP Nov 13.
Seasides - 27, TTC #1 for 16 months, BFP Dec 12, EP Dec 12.
JBrd - 42, 1 DS, ttc #2 for 18 months, MC Jan 2013, MC April 2013, MC Aug 2013
MissHobart - ttc #1, cycle 12, 2 x mc last year (July '13 and Dec '13.) both at six weeks. Bloods being taken tomorrow!
deuscat - 30, ttc #1 for 5 months, BFP 5th December ended in mc at 7+4 on 25th December

Seasides · 21/01/2014 13:06

Sal I was thinking about you this morning, I couldn't remember what tests etc you'd had done. I remember you saying the docs were characteristically unhelpful as they didn't count your CPs as MCs, but have they investigated at all?

Seasides · 21/01/2014 13:07

Thanks for collating Parsley!
