  1. The year of the rainbow baby. We pledge to be positive (most of the time). We pledge to cry less, shag more and swear lots. This is the one wannamummabees!

The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Seasides have you had any pg symptoms?

HollyBen · 13/01/2014 17:48

Fingers crossed seasides

CD14 here. Only negative OPKs so far, though not expecting a positive until cd16. Been getting a bit of practise in has been much easier without all the Christmas nights out getting in the way. Just had an email from the place I go to for osteopathy and deep tissue massage which says they have an acupuncturist who specialises in fertility issues so going to look into that.

triplespin · 13/01/2014 17:52

Omg seaside - cant wait for your news tomorrow now. This is so very very exciting!!

I hope I get to see those magic two lines soon. Rapidly approaching my original due date in 3 weeks time. Sigh. Also just offered a seat on the train to a pg lady and it made me think that I would probably have had a similar bump.

On cd 15 with ewcm since cd12. But negative opks so far. Not sure what is going on. Does anyone else's ovulation day jump around every cycle?

Welcome to the new joiners! Hope you stay is not too long.

Seasides · 13/01/2014 18:12

Wow, what a story Just! Like a film, that must have been some bonding...! Going to fly down to be with my sis a week after due date, then might be around for the birth :-)

I've no real pg symptoms at all...maybe a couple of odd twinges in the womb area, but could easily be imaginary. But then no af symptoms either...all is to play for! Think I'm about 11 dpo now, so a very faint line could be to be expected? I can't imagine how happy I'll be if this really is it.

My ov day has been jumping around triple, getting later and later - day 17ish this month. Have a doc appointment tomorrow to talk about funny cycle.

Parsley2506 · 13/01/2014 18:30

Oh my, work was flat out today so only just checking in. What a busy day it's been!

seasides goes without saying I am rooting for that second line tomorrow. I loved the idea of you burning an entire Xmas tree, can't put such shenanigans past us crazy ttc-ers!

just wow - that is the bonding experience to end them all!

CD24 - no real symptoms either way yet, except I've been moody/emotional when I've not been too busy to think. AF/PG or just regular Monday-itis, who knows!

Found out my work is on the 100 best small companies to work for list today, feeling ever so proud!

Justonemoretime · 13/01/2014 19:28

It was very dramatic. I was very heroic (naturally). It was like something off a Soap. The words "I'm really sorry, but they've told me I have to look." were uttered. Happy ending, though. Hopefully for me to, one day. :)

fedupofrainydays · 13/01/2014 19:33

Am I an emotional time bomb?! I just read your story just and burst into tears! Things like that just set me off.
Well done you on all those levels

Justonemoretime · 13/01/2014 20:31

Aww, bless you, Fedup. Hugs :)

TaytoCrisp · 13/01/2014 21:07

Hi ladies,

Think I might drop in here for a while if that's ok. Seems like a good spot for encouragement! Just started ttc again. I had an mc at 23 wks in 2012; although it was very difficult I got pregnant again three months later but mc-ed again at 14 weeks. So after some counselling and a whole year of indecision we have decided to try one last time. Had the opk to hand and now just waiting to see..

Fingers crossed to all the hopeful and brave ladies on here!

Misspositivity · 13/01/2014 22:09

seaside. Everthing crossed here for you apart from my legs as still in middle of SMEP. Lol.
tayto. You have been through so much and I admire your bravery. We will keep you company. Ps do u like tayto crisps??
truple my ovulation date jumps around but apparantly it the days between ovulation and AF arrival that dosen't change much not what day we ovulate on

Hugs to everyone else. I can hardly keep up with this busy thread.

Beetsarebisgusting · 13/01/2014 22:43

tayto so sorry to hear your sad story - you have had an awful time of it.

seasides test again, test again. I will keep everything crossed for you...

I told dh yesterday and he was happy, phew. I think he was a bit surprised because we were going to start ttc properly in January... I must have that super fertility problem. And rubbish eggs, hopefully this one is better than the others. 4+2 today, feeling anxious.

Penguin13 · 14/01/2014 06:36

Hi Tayto. I'm so sorry for your losses and can only imagine how difficult the decision to try again must have been but we'll keep you company along the way. Welcome to the thread.

Seasides good luck!

MissHobart · 14/01/2014 08:23

Come on Seasides ! Need someone to POAS! Grin

deuscat · 14/01/2014 08:26

Welcome Tayto. So sorry to hear of your losses. I can imagine the decision to try again has been a difficult one.

Seasides - have you poas?!

Noticed ewcm for the last couple of days so I assume ovulation is soon. Been dtd. I only had 2 cycles before I became pregnant so not a lot to go off, but it seems I'm ovulating about a few days behind schedule which is to be expected for post mc I suppose. Thing is, I know I'm really getting my hopes up for this first cycle post mc and I know I'm going to be really upset if we don't get lucky this month. But I still can't stop myself from wishing and hoping. Help! Blush

deuscat · 14/01/2014 08:27

Beets I'm glad your DH was happy. I can understand you're feeling anxious. Really hope it is a sticky one for you.

Seasides · 14/01/2014 09:10

One sleepless night and one BFN Sad - I'm going to chalk it down to a faulty test, and hope that AF turns up on Thursday with a good flow, so I can start again next month. Sorry to get everyone's hopes up, mine most of all! TTC World is full of cruel and unusual punishments.

Glad your DH was happy beets - maybe you should ask the doc about being super fertile? I hope this is the one for you though. And welcome tayto - I'm not normally so melodramatic! Your losses are awful, I'm so sorry. I hope the heartbreak's over for you.

Penguin13 · 14/01/2014 09:14

So sorry seasides but I'm still doing the 'you're not out till AF shows up' dance.

Penguin13 · 14/01/2014 09:54

I have an opk question. So from what I understand you're supposed to test in the afternoon and not have drunk for a while in order for your wee not to be too diluted, but have also read that drinking lots of water is good for EWCM. So I guess my question is how do you balance the two and if you do reduce fluid intake have you noticed a difference in CM?

OttersPocket · 14/01/2014 10:37

Penguin That is exactly the problem I'm facing! 4 hours from 9am until 1pm without drinking every day so I can get an OPK result. But having to balance that with trying not to effect my CM (also I'm on Clomid which dries things up too). My strategy is to just go without liquids before 1pm (I've always gotten positive OPKs at that time), then chug down loads of fluid in the afternoon in the vain hope it might balance things out Confused

Welcome Tayto, I can't imagine how difficult a decision it must have been for you to TTC again. I'm so very sorry for the heartache you've been through and wish that now is your time.

Seasides, keep channeling the posifrickenity!

A question for you acupuncture lovers - has it changed the length of your cycle? I usually ov around day 17 but the acupuncturist said this could change....

Penguin13 · 14/01/2014 10:39

Whoops sorry about the multipost my phone apparently decided that needed to be said thrice Blush

triplespin · 14/01/2014 12:14

sorry to hear that seasides - as long as AF is not here - you are still in the game. I know though how disappointing it is - especially when you get a glimmer of hope and it all gets set back by yet another month !

I did not get a positive opk (smiley on the cb digital) - but temp was up this morning, so I have decided that I ovulated on cd 15 and will call it quits for now ! I find myself putting so much pressure on dh to perform and I'm sure he will be relieved too !

Seasides · 14/01/2014 12:16

Hmm - I've never been that organised about OPKs, I hope I'm not getting it wrong. I just pee sometime in the afternoon before 10pm and it seems to work?

Just back from Dr - she was very sympathetic, told me there was nothing to worry about with my LP or periods because my hormone levels were good when we did the 21 day test. Might get another done just to check next month. I did have a cry on her though, and she asked me to do an anxiety form, took one look at it and tried to persuade me to take anti-anxiety meds! It's such a shitter that stress affects fertility, and lack of fertility makes you stressed. Those pills affect fertility though, so I'm not going to take them.

Parsley2506 · 14/01/2014 13:18

seasides it's a vicious circle isn't it? And every fing f*er who says "just relax and it'll happen" makes it SO MUCH EASIER TO RELAX! Gah! Sorry, ragey today. Definitely fits in with AFs impending arrival this weekend plus disturbed sleep last night.

tayto you've been through so much heartache already and you and your DH are so brave, I truly truly wish for 2014 to be your year, and we'll keep you company on the way.

Fanjo question for you all: I keep getting these weird pokey/stabby sensations in the cervix area. Does anyone else get these? Started while I was still pg (and we all know how that ended Hmm). Is this something I should be worried about? They're very brief, not constant and not debilitating or anything but enough to notice.
