  1. The year of the rainbow baby. We pledge to be positive (most of the time). We pledge to cry less, shag more and swear lots. This is the one wannamummabees!

The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Is it definitely your cervix area and not up your bum? They're soo close together.

The bum thing I call stabby arse....I believe it is wind trapped in your lower colon.

CD11 here and the shagathon has begun. We always start off with enthusiasm, but it begins to wear thin towards the end. It's not helped by the insanity that is work at the moment. I'm exhausted by the time I get home and just want to go to sleep.
I
've taken a facebook holiday as all the pregnancy and baby news wasn't doing me any good at all. Having a bit of a bad day today as had long meeting with a colleague who is due exactly when I would have been. She knows about MC and has been lovely, but I'm finding it increasingly hard to look at her without bursting into tears. She goes on maternity leave at the end of next week.

Great news beets fingers crossed for a sticky bean.

Welcome newbies, sorry to hear about your losses, I hope your stay is short.

Seasides · 14/01/2014 16:43

Ha ha, sal thank you, I've got stabby arse in the past before, you've set my mind at ease that it's nothing serious!

Sorry you're having a crappy day wing. Been really emotional today too, and that's without someone else's great big bump staring me in the face. That must be tough.

I've been persuaded by all the success stories online and have bought a bumper pack of Conceive Plus. Why didn't I try these things earlier? I'll be so annoyed with myself if all this heartache could have been saved by shoving some lube up myself.

fedupofrainydays · 14/01/2014 16:45

I get stabby bum but think from nerve endings around coccyx and not trapped wind!

seaside that's just shit. I'm so sorry about the stupid test. And totally with you on the stress thing. It's impossible not to stress so why do they bother saying it as just makes it more annoying. I wanted to punch the doctor when she said that to me.

wingandtalon · 14/01/2014 16:52

seaside just caught up with news. Sorry to hear about your stupid test. That really is shitty to have your hopes dashed like that. Hope you're ok.

Seasides · 14/01/2014 17:01

Thanks ladies - Ive been a bit wobbly today, tiredness as much as anything I think. Trying to look to next month now, I'm oddly excited about the Conceive Plus, I've never had much ewcm so maybe this is my cure...I hope I get a proper BFP very soon, it was so exciting to think this might be my month. I hope we all do.

deuscat · 14/01/2014 17:07

Stabby arse Grin

Seasides it's not over till AF arrives!

Does anyone have any experience of having spotting around ovulation? I've been having ewcm the last couple of days and today it has been tinged pink on wiping (sorry, tmi) today so presumably a little bleed. I've never had it before.

triplespin · 14/01/2014 17:48

seasides i was thinking of preseed myself. Which is better though - preseed or conceive plus or are they the same thing?

Justonemoretime · 14/01/2014 17:50

I find the fertility friendly lubes a big help on the SMEP. As long as they are special expensive ones and not the regular KY, I think they're about as good as each other.

Seasides · 14/01/2014 18:07

From what I've read triple, preseed just helps the sperm get up there more easily, whereas conceive plus actually aids conception by nourishing the sperm or something? At least it said it was the only one that actually increased chances of conception. I went for the daylight robbery expensive individual syringe thingies that you squirt up yourself.

Parsley2506 · 14/01/2014 18:10

Stabby arse!! Grin Nah, it's definitely up the Fanjo. The fact none of you are saying "ooh yes I get that too" is making me worry! Ah well, if the witch shows this weekend then I am due to book my smear next cycle anyway so I'll get the nurse to have a proper look!!

I have tried preseed and conceive plus, they are both basically the same except with preseed you get the sexy syringe applicators which I could never be arsed with (but that Sal has ingenious uses for!!). Pick whichever's cheaper!

Seasides · 14/01/2014 18:12

Is it after sex parsley? It could be the cervix getting knocked if so?

fairy, are you still around? How are you doing?

Fairypants · 14/01/2014 18:26

Hi there, I'm still lurking (and resolutely keeping fingers x for you seasidesSmile).
I'm obviously still rather paranoid but no spotting or anything yet and got the exhaustion today which is my first proper symptom so feeling a bit more positive. It's hard not to worry though. I still have 2 more weeks til the dr will refer me for an early scan so just hanging in there til then.

tannyLoo · 14/01/2014 18:44

Parsley I think I have that sometimes and it predates any mc, but I have become so aware of everything down there this last year that I can now pinpoint ov.

Ov was today. Still smeping, but I don't seem to have any ewcm so am a bit less confident that this month will be the one Sad

Parsley2506 · 14/01/2014 19:25

seasides no! it just randomly starts and stops! usually during the day time. I know the cervix loosens up around OV so I had been wondering if it was that but I am way past when I would normally OV and feeling AF-y. I think I will OPK next month to stop all the doubt! Btw the thing about Conceive Plus 'nourishing' the sperm made me laugh - typical produce of men, can't do the one job they've been given without a snack! Grin

fairy I hope (in the nicest possible way) you won't feel the need to lurk here for much longer. Are you feeling ok besides the fatigue?

fedupofrainydays · 14/01/2014 21:59

I think perhaps make a note of when it happens - do you use FF or similar app cos just stick it on there then you might notice a pattern / rule in stabby arse?!

I'm so knackered. If i wasn't cd 5 I would be POAS as most definately a pregnancy symptom.
Wink

Hope you are doing ok fairy Not long to go now til early scan although seems an eternity.

Justonemoretime · 15/01/2014 07:07

Poas... could it be....? Darn it, no! A cat hair, very fine, lying straight across the stick (left face down on for during wait), looking like a faint shadow. Angry ffs

MissHobart · 15/01/2014 07:18

lol @ Just - that's the kind of thing that happens in my house! Grin

Seasides · 15/01/2014 08:23

Oh rats just! No fish from me obvs, considering recent behaviour...

Thar she blows...af has rolled out the red carpet in style. Not too bummed out any more, pleased I've reached 13 dpo and it's healthy red thus far. Intrigued to see if it'll be better this month, agnus c style.

Glad to hear you're doing well fairy, hope that scan comes around quickly and safely for you. Let us know how you get on Smile

Seasides · 15/01/2014 08:24

Ps spent the morning cradling DH's sperm-in-a-pot to me to keep it warm before he rushed off to deliver it to the hospital in time!

Sal1977 · 15/01/2014 08:51

Haha... Running the spermy gauntlet! We're normally running late when we have to do it so I have images of me running in slow motion through the hospital, pushing sick people out of the way by their faces and skidding round corners....

Soz AF got you. :(

OP posts:
deuscat · 15/01/2014 09:07

Sorry that AF has arrived Seasides. The sperm pot cradling has made me giggle Grin

Hope it's all going ok Fairy

So I'm pretty sure I've ovulated yesterday judging by ewcm and ovulation spotting, and we have dtd at the right times. So now I'm thinking I can poas next Friday which will be 10dpo and a few days before AF is due. I had previously stated I wouldn't test till AF was late and was planning on waiting till 1st feb. As this is my first cycle post mc I'm desperate to be pregnant and I'm really building my hopes up when I should just take the more relaxed approach as I did previously.

Someone slap me with a fish for considering poas before 14dpo Confused

Seasides · 15/01/2014 09:12

Just spoke to him and that's pretty much what it was like apparently!

Seasides · 15/01/2014 09:16

Hmm-well the 14dpo rule is more of a guideline... it's really more about the Friday rule...you wouldn't be able to stop me! But, though it's probably impossible and of course all you want is to be pg again, try not to get your hopes up too much, I don't want you to be gutted if af does arrive. It's really early days still, and your hormones will still be everywhere.

Penguin13 · 15/01/2014 09:31

Ugh sorry AF made her appearance seasides but well done on the posifrickentivity! The image of you cradling the sperm made me giggle.

For some reason even though I am only on CD13 I have become convinced that I won't ov this cycle. Feeling particularly vulnerable for some reason so have succumbed to CB digital for this cycle Blush hi my name is penguin and I'm a POAS addict partially because you can test in the am and then I don't have to worry about not drinking enough water.
