Yay Baking go team pink!!

Luna so good to see you back! Glad to hear the procedure went well. Will the results go back to Dr S? It will be a tough few weeks waiting! And I do hope it goes quickly!
Thank you for the info about Dr S! I also asked again the other day and was told no! And I suppose with the IVIG costs we can Ill afford it!

Tum how are you?

Village why are you feeling low? Is your tww up yet! Don't give up!

Choccy that's such good news! Glad you are well!

Thanks brown and MrsP
MrsP no I'm not normally crazy either lol! DH is away again and I had a spaz attack again last night! Took me ages to get to sleep!

Waves to everyone and I'm sorry if I've forgotten anyone!

Fab news baking!! Hope you can breathe a bit more easily now.

Choccy congratulations on passing the 30-week milestone! Not long now...

Team hope things have settled down for you. I'm low because of a combination of pred and hormones I think! Sad

Waves to all x

LunaGL · 17/01/2014 23:10

Thanks Ari its nice to be back.

Choccy great to read your update and you sound so organised and prepared regarding the diabetis.

Team girl power!!! You are my inspiration and I look forward to you progress updates. Fab news x

Have just read the Daily Mail article on Mr S and the woman who had 20 miscarriages before finally having her son. Started a HUGE debate between myself and DH who has decided that we obviously have to keep going as our 8 mcs are nothing compared to hers. As you can imagine - red rag to a bull. Would love him to go through just one and then we'll see how many times we're going to keep trying. Rant over and breathe......

LunaGL · 17/01/2014 23:36

Team sorry forgot to answer your question. Yes results going directly to Mr S. Depending on what they say (assuming we get some answers as apparently results can be inconclusive), Mr S will know whether the treatment protocol needs 'tweaking' or the the mc was a genetic issue with the baby and would have happened either way.

Have to wait 4-6 weeks for results which feels like a long time, but thinking that it'll give my body time to get back into its normal cycle so that when we're ready to try again, we'll have hopefully have a better idea of direction/medication.

teamdozie · 18/01/2014 12:12

Oh Luna thank you! I'm glad I'm helping you in one way or another!

I'm positive you will get some answers! Have you and DH talked about IVIG at all?

By the time we had out appointment with the results it had been 5 weeks since the procedure! And Dr S let us try right away! First period after it!

So fingers crossed it all happens quickly for you! I read that article in the mail and hats of to that lady! I had heard if a lady who had 18 before seeing Dr S and then having twins! But 20?? It's amazing! It's shows you what resilient creatures we women are!

Hello! Haven't been on here for a while. Such good news on this thread at the moment - it's lovely to see. Lots of new pregnancies and new babies. Choccy - over 30 weeks pregnant - wow!! That's amazing news. It seems to have gone so quickly - not to you I guess but other people's pregnancies seem to fly by. And Baking huge congratulations on the 20 week scan. Team Pink!! So exciting.

So happy to hear you had your much longed for baby Cartoon! I am so very pleased for you and hope you're enjoying the sleepiness nights :)

Nice to have some newbies too. We have literally had scores of babies here since the thread started. So overall it's been very good. One of the issues might be is that mostly people who have had treatment and had a baby are not generally posting here any more! But the treatment is unfortunately not going to work for everyone but with success rates around 80% that is pretty damn good when you think about the issues those of us have been through before finding the treatment. I will try dig up the list for inspiration for anyone going through a tough time. If anyone remembers when they last saw it please shout.

Desperate, you can ask for a referral for NK cells testing and I know Mr S (the pioneer in this treatment in the UK although it's also now done by other people) can be seen on the NHS in Epsom and St Helier hospital. The test itself costs around £150 - well it did when I had it just over 2 years ago - and in my opinion was money well spent. Obviously you might also need a few consultations but again if you can get the funds together it can be very much worth it. I hope everything works out for you. feel free to ask questions.

Jemima how is everything going? Congratulations on your daughter last year - although I have probably said that already. I too got pregnant accidentally when breastfeeding and not on the treatment. I am not saying this will be the same for you but I saw a hb that had stopped at 7.4 weeks and I had an ERPC in October. Next time I will make sure I am definitely on the treatment first. I hope it works out better for you.

Team, really pleased to see you're pregnant and so far it is going well - same for you Tum!! And MrsP too and anyone else have missed - so many new pregnancies going on.

Iggi, I remember your panicked trips to hospital like they were just last month. Amazing how time flies.

Everyone has been sharing that press story with the Mr S patient that had 20 miscarriages and then tried hydroxycholoroquine and had a baby today. I am sure most of you have seen it but here is the link in case you haven't. Amazing determination, such a shame she didn't get the right help earlier.

Freelancegirl - great to hear from you, I am not sure if you remember me from the first early threads? I am back here for a bit. I want to say a big thank you for posting the list, as it has shown me that some of the lovely ladies that were still on the threads when I left, have gone on to have there wonderful little pred babies. It is really encouraging.

I am 6w+2 today and taking pred. So far so good, who knows if it will end up being a miracle baby for me. After only 12 miscarriages, hearing about women being successful after 20, gives me an extra inkling of hope.

Hope you and your little one (not so little now!) are doing well.

willitbe · 19/01/2014 06:54

Luna- so sorry for what you are going through. Ittook 5 weeks for our results to come through, and we started trying as soon as we felt emotionally ready. You might know this already, but, If the baby is a boy the results are normally clear, it is when it is a girl that they can tell if it is a genetic issue, but if it is a girl with no clear issue, then they have to list as it gets confused with your own cells. For me I mentally thought of the baby as a girl, and was surprised it turned out to be a boy. For us there were genetic issues and this meant no change in protocol for us. It is a strange time waiting for the results, and then so many weeks later having a phonecall saying that they are burying the remains in such and such a date. I hope that you manage to get plenty of rest and TLC at this time.

willitbe · 19/01/2014 06:58

Baking -,great news from the scan, congrats on being team pink.

Chocci - wow 31 weeks, that is fantastic, really pleased for you.

freelancegirl · 19/01/2014 07:29

Of course I remember you Willitbe, great news re the pregnancy and glad the list is inspiring. That's really interesting about the genetic test

freelancegirl · 19/01/2014 07:30

Posted too soon - genetic testing.

Hi everyone Free good to see you back! How's the documentary coming along!?

Well I have had. Very busy Saturday! Spent 5hrs in A&E due to massive bleeding! Bright red fresh! (Sorry TMI)
Have been checked out for infection and now I wait! But no scan yesterday to see what this bleeding is and where it is coming from! No clots or pain and my cervix is closed! So all that is positive!

Still bleeding this morning so taking it easy! Why do these things happen at the weekend??

Hope everyone else has had a better weekend!

Xxx

OP posts:
willitbe · 19/01/2014 18:59

team - sorry to hear about the bleeding, hope that all is ok, glad you are taking it easy.

bakingtins · 19/01/2014 20:32

team hope you are ok. I'm sure you don't need the stress.

LunaGL · 19/01/2014 20:45

Free great to see you back and thanks so much for posting the list. It's great to see so many Pred babies and gives me hope.

Team hope the bleeding has eased and you managed to get some rest. I absolutely agree that these things ALWAYS happen at weekends when it's virtually impossible to get any help. Please keep us all posted - am sending you positive thoughts and virtual hugs xx

Will thanks for letting me know about the genetic test. We weren't sure if to ask about the sex of the baby, thought it would just break our hearts all over again. However it sounds as though it would be useful so 'in for a penny in for a pound' as they say.

Wishing us all a calm and relaxing week ahead

teamdozie · 20/01/2014 09:01

Thank you all for your supportive messages! I do believe it's all over for this one too! As I've started passing clots this morning! Fairly large ones! Still NK pain which I'm a bit shocked about.

I'm still waiting to go to the EPAU but I will keep you posted!

Thank you once again! Xxx

brownstag · 20/01/2014 09:05

Mel3062 · 20/01/2014 09:15

Finally found everyone!! Looks like I've lots of catchup reading. Choccy where did that time go?? Team hope you're ok x waves everyone

GreenOlives · 20/01/2014 09:44

Hello anyone who remembers me!
Just popped in here after seeing Mr S on Daybreak this morning.
I saw that Free posted a list on here from last February where I was 38+5 - well I now have a healthy nearly 11 month old DS2!
I hope all you ladies soon get your longed for babies too!

Delta10 · 20/01/2014 09:56

Hello everyone - I haven't been on for ages and have just had a really quick catch up read.
Team so sorry to hear about the bleeding & hope you are ok.
Luna also sad to read what you've been going through - it's really hard to find appropriate words for the pain experienced by so many on this terrifying journey of TTC in the face of adversity.
Free thank you for the 'blast from the past' list, you are so organised! My entry is out of date now as I had my second pred baby on Mr S's protocol, a beautiful DD, in Feb 2013. Never in my wildest dreams did I believe I'd become a mum of 2 so please don't lose hope ladies.
sue I think of you often & hope you are well - I know it's Scarlet's anniversary & must be so difficult for you. Sending positive vibes x
Apologies if I've missed anyone but good luck to everyone

Delta10 · 20/01/2014 10:00

Wow, hello Green our posts crossed & I do remember you as we were due at the same time! Glad all is going well & like you, I can't believe our anxiety ridden early pregnancies are now almost 1...!!!!

bakingtins · 20/01/2014 13:23

team hope you are ok, I have everything crossed for you.

teamdozie · 20/01/2014 13:39

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for your support! It means so much!

Had a scan this morning and to my surprise baby is doing well and has an even stronger heartbeat!

I have a bleed outside the uterus but they can't explain the clots! But they aren't coming from the sack!

I can't believe it! I was sure it was all over! I guess I just need to have faith! And trust in the fact that I AM PREGNANT TODAY!!!

Thank you all for your messages! And hello to everyone j haven't met before!

Xxx
