I echo duggs village, it's only because we have to test so early that we know but the emotion of it all is awful, sending you a big hug. Keep going xx

MattsMamma · 23/04/2014 18:47

Thanks VILLAGE x I'll be trying to keep him talking at least - maybe something else if I succeed Wink

So true what DUGGS says re chemicals. Ignorance truly is bliss sometimes!

How lovely it would be to have spontanous nookie and fall pregnant au natural - no drugs, no peeing on sticks,no nothing just falling pregnant and not having to worry about it at all...................... Smile x

VillageMum · 24/04/2014 08:55

Thanks duggs, mel, matts - what you say is true. But I'd have known this time even without early testing that I was pregnant - I could feel implantation happening (or struggling and failing to happen, as it turned out), had nausea, etc. One of the downsides of having had seven pregnancies now is that I always know when I am pg. And each time I am the hope ratchets up - in the space of a week I was already imagining this child and making plans for his or her arrival in December. So bloody foolish. I must, must, must learn not to do that. Matts I've twice fallen pregnant unplanned after spontaneous nookie with DH and yes, it was infinitely better than this ttc drill, even though those pregnancies didn't work out! Thanks girls xx

Morning ladies - hope your all al x

Just wondering - those of you who are on the Hydroxychloroquine - how do you feel?

My eyes are extremely puffy underneath and a little on the upper lids too plus they feel really dry. I don't know why I just feel really uneasy taking it and decided to stop a couple of days ago. Have I done the right thing? I'm sure the puffiness has eased ever so slightly. Just wondered if anyone else has had problems on it? In my last pregnancy I was only on the pred plus the usual aspirin etc and I was ok without the Hydroxychloroquine. I was prescribed this because I kept having random reactions similar to an allergy with hives and hitching but haven't had one of these for well over a year now. I am just not sure about the Hydroxychloroquine - been on it for 6 months and I am sure it makes me feel a tad depressed too. X

teamdozie · 24/04/2014 16:40

Hi everyone

Village so pleased that you got to start another cycle!! Fingers crossed for this one!!

Matt I have had dry eyes on and off since taking the hydroxy! Maybe contact whoever prescribed it to you and make sure it's ok to just stop! I can't see it bein an issue though!

Just a quick update from me. Had my twenty week Scan today and all is well. Everything is in the right place. Baby is measuring on the small side of average so DH is now worried although for once I'm not!
Seeing Dr S tomorrow so we are going to show him the report just to put Mr Dozies mind at rest!

I have been feeling some movement but for what appears on the scans as an extremely active baby I can't feel too much! Fingers crossed it won't be long!!

Waves to everyone!

Wonderful, Team. My son was only 6lb and at the end of the day somebody's got to be on the small side. We can't all be whoppers. I remember on our 20 week scan where he was violently kicking me and I had no sensation of it whatsoever!

teamdozie · 24/04/2014 18:12

Haha Brown that's exactly what was going on with baby Dozie! That is very true about the size! It may have heard me when I said if it's bigger that 8lb I'm not pushing hahah!
I'm having growth scans every four weeks so it will be interesting to see how it progresses! When do they tell you what weight to expect?

Also question for all when is it a good time to register for NCT??

Xx

Yay Team, that's great news. You must be so happy.

I had 24 week check and all good. Smile

VillageMum · 25/04/2014 12:10

Brown happy birthday! Hope it's a good one and that the next few days bring you good news.

Mrs P and Team, wonderful scan news from you both!

Mattsmamma hope you are doing ok in your negotiations with DH... Re the hydroxy: it doesn't seem to affect me. Had an eye check last month and all was fine. Hope you get some reassurance.

Feeling much perkier today. Think my body and psyche are bouncing back! Waves to all x

brownstag · 25/04/2014 12:32

Thank you Village and brilliant news, MrsPixie!
Just out of interest, what day past ovulation have all you ladies ever got your first hint of a bfp?

VillageMum · 25/04/2014 13:01

Brown I've had 10dpo but more usually 11 or 12dpo. Never earlier than 10dpo. Are you getting a glimmer??

brownstag · 25/04/2014 13:38

Thanks; no, none whatsoever on the 10miu internet cheapies. It's only 8dpo. I did once get one on the evening of 8dpo but usually I've had a glimmer by 9 or 10 dpo and a definite line on 11dpo. But I think I might waste some money on a FRER this afternoon ;)

VillageMum · 25/04/2014 13:58

Brown good luck! I find FRERs are much better than the internet cheapies at showing up a positive, even though they're supposed to register 10miu and the FRER 12.5miu. The display is just bigger and the dye better on a FRER! Fingers crossed.

teamdozie · 25/04/2014 14:08

Thanx MrsP and so pleased that your scan was all good too!
Village thank you! Glad you are feeling more upbeat! Keeping everything crossed for this month!!
Brown I got BFP at 10 DPO this pregnancy! I couldn't help myself! I have always used the clearblue digital! I've never heard of the other ones! I like the clearblue ones as it's in "black and white"! Spent a fortune but I think well worth the money!

Mel3062 · 25/04/2014 16:13

Eek good luck brown!! X

brownstag · 25/04/2014 17:42

Well, at 8dpo I have the thinnest line visible to the naked eye on FRER ...

MattsMamma · 25/04/2014 17:49

BROWN!!!! Yippee!! How exciting but of course incredibly nerve wracking at the same time ! xx

MattsMamma · 25/04/2014 17:55

VILLAGE - I have come off the Hydroxychloroquine for now - Louise the midwife with DR S advised me to come off for the time being. Was due to see DR S at the end of next week but have had to cancel appt for now but I feel better already being off the Hydroxychloroquine - dont know if its in my head? Glugging a lot more water to try and depuff the eyes and face is puffy too but the puffiness has definitely gone down slightly since coming off it.

Got another month of TTC ahead - just one month for now is all dh will commit to - who knows after that. So no pressure at all then lol!!! x

MattsMamma · 25/04/2014 17:58

TEAM AND PIXIE. - great news re those scans ! XX

Mel3062 · 25/04/2014 18:06

Whispering congrats brown and praying the line gets stronger for you x

MrsPixieMoo · 25/04/2014 18:28

Brown!!! Grin

bakingtins · 25/04/2014 18:40

team delighted to hear your scan went well. One of the side effects of pred (or of NK cells, albeit treated?) is low birthweight babies so it's good they are keeping an eye on it. I was told approx weight at that point at my 28 week scan but not a predicted birthweight, and I have another scan on Tuesday. Bump is 2 weeks behind but that's similar to my other children at this stage and they ended up 7.5 and 6.5lb, so small but respectable, and I'm fairly little myself. I'd register for NCT classes now, you want to be going at the beginning of third trimester as they are spread over several weeks or weekends, and they book up fast.

brown congratulations - so exciting!

VillageMum · 25/04/2014 18:42

OMG Brown you did it!! Happy birthday twice over! Go on little line, get nice and thick now, go go go! Smile

mattsmamma well done to you and your DH for working things out for another month. Anything can happen in a month... So glad you got an answer on the hydroxy and are feeling better.

Mel3062 · 25/04/2014 19:03

Wow what an amazing birthday present, happy birthday!! Hope I get one for mine in a weeks time ;)
Great news on all the scans too!
