Congratulations mrsP so pleased to hear it is all good.

Hugs to any of you for whom that TV program brought back difficult memories.

VillageMum · 25/03/2014 09:57

mel and sue I'd like to add my hugs too. xx

free I'm really glad you're writing about all of this, tough as it is. It's such a hidden subject. It's only when you have a miscarriage that you discover how many of the women in your immediate circle have been through the same, or even worse. I'm always touched and impressed by the humanity and caring shown by the women on this thread.

Mrs P that's such great news!! Another milestone.

Tumtimes1 · 25/03/2014 13:04

Hey all - havent been on for a while. Mrs p that is fabulous news about your scan! I am counting down the days until mine.

I think I am going to have to tell work sooner rather than later about the pregnancy as I am starting to show.
I also have learnt that since coming off the pred, my spots are startingt o clear up. has anyone else found this? did the pred give anyone else bad skin?

I have a reassurance scan on Thursday and also back to the doc for a review. I am currently working part time and I would like to stay that way for a bit if I can. I have been getting headaches every day I am at work.

I didn't watch the doc on Channel 4 last night. One of my friends mentioned it to me who has had 4 MC's herself, but I started to watch it and I found it too upsetting. I Need to be surrouding myself with positivity at the moment I think.

x

teamdozie · 25/03/2014 13:34

MrsP congrats on team pink! That's brilliant news!

Tum good to see you back!

Thank you all for your warm support. Means a lot.

Tum my skin was shit on pred and I only now look less like a teenager who are all the pies.

Hugs to all who saw and were upset by the programme. You're brave to watch it. I don't think I could have done.

Mel3062 · 26/03/2014 05:25

Thanks ladies,
Mrs p great news and Tum good luck for your scan.

LunaGL · 27/03/2014 10:15

Great scan news Mrs P and I add my good luck to everyone elses Tum. My skin was also quite shocking and very sensitive whilst on Pred. I learnt the hard way that a microdermabrasion facial is not a good idea whilst you're on it - for me anyway. It wasn't pretty....

Have my folly scan later today so fingers crossed that there is something there.....

Waves to all xxx

MrsPixieMoo · 27/03/2014 17:00

Thinking of you Luna. How did the scan go?

Tumtimes1 · 28/03/2014 07:38

Thanks for the skin advice. It's so funny i worry when I do have symptoms and then I worry when those horrid symptoms go away.

Ah well - I had a scan last night at babybond, it all seemed fine and it looks like we are having a little girl baby. I am 16 weeks today so she may grow a penis in the next 4 weeks (haha) and we will find out at my 20 week scan.

I am telling work today about the pregnancy. I really wanted to wait until I was past 20 weeks but I'm starting to show and am still part time there plunder doc orders so feel they should know.

luna how did your scan go?

team how are you ?mrs pixie whats new with you?

Hey everyone else x

LunaGL · 28/03/2014 14:05

Scan went really well - Mr S was in a surprisingly good mood which was nice. Have two lovely follies on my left side measuring 18mm and 14mm which is great so will trigger Sat and then lock my DH in a room for Sun and Mon Grin. Have managed to get a night away in a lovely B&B which hopefully should improve the mood and make it less mechanical - fingers (but not legs) crossed Wink
Hope you all have lovely weekends xxx

bakingtins · 28/03/2014 19:37

:) Thanks duggs .. team there's a bunch of us old-timers from this thread that also have a sub-thread if you like called 'assisted conception after recurrent miscarriage' - www.mumsnet.com/Talk/infertility/1852840-Assisted-conception-after-recurrent-miscarriage-part-5?pg=38 if you're interested. We all started out wih Mr S, some of us have gone on to try other things, some of us are still looking at options. Me personally, I have had IVF treatment with Serum in Athens, on huge amounts of immune suppressants, and with a bit of luck and a following wind it seems to have finally paid off after 7 miscarriages, 6 natural (3 under Mr S) and 1 IVF.

I still lurk here and read everything, I just don't post very often.

And duggs .. at the moment I'm praying it's no more than twins!!! Shock

/waves to everyone, hope you've all had a fabulous day whatever you were doing.

freelancegirl · 31/03/2014 00:12

So lovely to hear of good scans. Just wanted to drop in and say a big wow to Ari! Are you going to have an early scan to see how many sacs there might be in there? Duggs - 10 weeks! Brilliant. When is your next scan?

duggs1976 · 31/03/2014 10:35

Next scan on Wednesday morning Free.. The harmony scan and blood test at Fetal Medical Clinic. Will be 10+3 by then. These have to be easier than the hideously nail chewing early scans.. I'm telling myself so. They are actually as they have to be. Most people wouldn't even be bothering will all that so feeling positive Smile

Arianrhod · 31/03/2014 15:25

Thanks free ... well I wasn't going to go for one very early, I'd rather remain in ignorance for a while longer to be honest, but I rang the EPU to see what they thought about maybe an 8 week scan and they said no, we want to see you next week! I'll only be 6w2d but they insisted. Personally I'd rather not, you're not going to see much more than a pregnancy sac, which won't set my mind at rest at all, but I guess they want to make sure everything is where it should be i.e. not ectopic.

duggs Can't wait to hear the good news from your scan on Wednesday! :)

Iggi101 · 31/03/2014 15:32

Lovely to hear this Ari Grin And great scan news for others on here too. I'm a great believer in "scan early, scan often"!
The flowers are blooming and seems like the babies are too!
I had a scan this morning for an entirely non-pregnancy related reason but it did bring back all that stress of lying on the couch and watching that screen.. I've had more good scans than bad but it makes no difference I'm afraid.

ChoccyPud · 31/03/2014 15:36

Ooh Ari how exciting (and nervewracking obv). TWINS?? I'll have to pop over to the other thread for full update. But am keeping my fingers crossed (metaphorically at least - with DD I need at least three hands free at any one time...!). Omg that's the first time I've typed DD with ref to me and mine ??

Arianrhod · 31/03/2014 16:09

Nervewracking? I'm terrified choccy Grin . Thanks, and to iggi too .. and lovely to hear about your DD choccy, so happy you finally got your reward!

VillageMum · 31/03/2014 17:45

Ari just wanted to add my 'wow' and congratulations too! I may pop in at the 'assisted conception after mc thread' while I'm going through SO, if that's ok with the rest of you.

duggs everything crossed for Wednesday. Where is your FMC based?

team how are things?

Had SO scan today, 3 nice follies, two of which are ready to go, so triggering tonight.

duggs1976 · 31/03/2014 18:00

Come on over village... Good luck Grin Fetal medical clinic is in Harley st they not for profit organization. 400 pound for harmony test 2 scans from 10 wks and blood test and second scan with results at 12 wks. Sent to the USA. Price usually 500 to 700 elsewhere it seems. I did leave it a bit late to book but have managed to get an app. Is pretty necessary for me as had have at least 2 confirmed trisomies before but one no. 16 and died at 7 wks and one no.13 and slow heartbeat from the off so hoping that rules those 2 out! Ari glad u getting to see how many sacs - am sure is 2. What do U think of Twins?

Mel3062 · 31/03/2014 18:34

Ari good luck, I await with bated breath!!
Duggs good luck for wed about time we had good news on here ;) x
