That's odd, Tum. They can't leave you pred free! Are you sure they understood what you meant? Could he do a scan earlier?

Tumtimes1 · 30/01/2014 10:08

That is fantastic news TEAM! So glad the haematoma has almost absorbed, you must be so relieved. x

Clabbage · 30/01/2014 15:55

Thank you Ari for guiding me here. For some reason I couldn't find the new thread!

Great to read so much good news! I hope beyond hope that this is a lucky year for you all. luna I'm sorry to read about your mc. Several of mine have been after seeing a heartbeat although I have always measured behind as well.

On the good news front, I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on Jan 15th. For those who don't know my history, I'm 41, I already have dc's, I lost my first son 18 years ago to SIDS and more recently had 8 miscarriages, 6 in a row. I had seen Mr S and had high NK cells but after a couple of poor experiences with him, opted not to continue seeing him. My treatment this preg was aspirin, fragmin, high dose folic acid, vit d, pregnacare, omega 3 but interestingly no pred or progesterone. My final ingredient was a wonderful caring compassionate nhs consultant who took me under his wing and really cared.
I wish you all so much luck over the coming months. My baby is an incredible reward but I will never forget the tough journey to get here. My thoughts are with you as you travel through to deserved success x

Tumtimes1 · 30/01/2014 16:19

Congratulations clabbage that trule is fantastic news. What a journey you have been on, I really admire you!

May I ask, why did your NHS doc decide not to put you on the pred and progesterone for this pregnancy? x

LunaGL · 30/01/2014 17:28

Hi All apologies for the radio silence but like Brown, have been busy at work.

Tum bit out of date but I too had a dull ache in my right side and thought it might be a kidney infection. Turned out to be an enlarged ovary and the pain eventually went.

Regarding the prescriptions I would follow the advice that everyone gave you and always call Louise. I regularly get prescriptions posted to me and on a couple of occasions have had them sent via fax directly to a pharmacy.

Baking glad all ok with your dad. How are you?

Dildoos happy that you have your procedure booked and it really is very fast. I honestly didn't feel the scrape and it def sounds worse than it is. Just keep holding onto the thought of what opportunities this procedure might bring you.....

Team fabulous news that the haematoma has behaved itself. The bed rest obviously worked and I hope that you have continued to have a calm week this week.

Clabbage HUGE congratulations - what a great way to start 2014!!

Village good luck for the procedure tomorrow I hope it is pain free and swift.

Waves to anyone that I may have missed out xx

bakingtins · 30/01/2014 20:34

clabbage congratulations! We love to hear about rainbow babies.

team so pleased it is all looking good for you.

dildoos don't worry - the procedure is fine, no worse than a smear test.

Arianrhod · 30/01/2014 21:32

clabbage That's absolutely fantastic to hear, thanks so much for letting us know. Fragmin .. that's like heparin, yes? Were you on that for a clotting issue, I forget? Interesting no pred yet your high NK cells didn't interfere, it makes me hopeful given that I'm only on a low dose of pred now (although along with Clexane, intralipids and neupogen). So delighted you now have your wonderful reward!

freelancegirl · 30/01/2014 23:17

Good luck for today village xx

jass43 · 31/01/2014 11:47

Clabbage, huge congrats! Did your doc offer you any explanation on why no immunosuppressants this time? I am asking because I have been diagnosed pred without showing high NK cells in blood, not tested the uterine lining. It did noth elp, but now every time I think I am preg i start with pred, and then withdrawal after each disappointment is awful, and it messes up ov next cycle. So I am enchanted with your success story and hoping your doc also explained why he thinks after 8mc were you able to holdon to this precious miracle. I have 10 mc after 4 live births and am losing hope.... Am 44 though, so really old by now.....

MrsPixieMoo · 31/01/2014 15:43

Ladies, hello!
Been really busy with work and house hunting. Found somewhere and hoping to exchange contracts next week. It just took life over.

Clabbage than for sharing such lovely news. What a wonderful gift after all your heartache. You really have been through it. Had tears in my eyes.

Team thinking of you today with your IVIG. It's great that it's receded so much and that you've felt better too. Don't blame you for not wanting to go back to work though.

Village good luck today.

Tum did you get your pred sorted? It didn't sound very satisfactory. I do know it's one of the drugs you can get on emergency prescriptions as it can't be suddenly stopped, but hopefully it hasn't come to that.

Baking glad your dad is ok. How are you? Hope ok?

Free thanks for updating the wonder-list. It's really special having that and so uplifting to read.

Brown hope you get a break from work soon and are able to catch up with yourself. How are you?

My stuff: am 12 weeks + 2 now and have the 12 week scan on Monday, with proper grown ups, not the teenage clinic this time. I'll miss 'em. A bit nervous as they've done all my bloods and am hoping all is good. Still sick, still waking at 3am but now have initial insomnia as well so not getting to sleep until midnight, so really run ragged. DH has been great as I usually sleep between 6 and 8pm, he looks after DD and puts her to bed. She shouted at me for sleeping too much and never playing, feel an awful mum but just can't help it. Irony is most of the night I am up full of life and watching her and DH asleep. He says it is like being in a relationship with someone in another time zone. Very, very happy to be tapering steroids from next Monday, hurrah.

Waves to all and wishing everyone a lovely weekend xx

Aww buzzy wonderful news congrats x

Tumtimes1 · 31/01/2014 18:25

Huge congratulations buzzybee! I'm do happy for you!!

Hey pixiemoo I've an appointment with mr s now (they managed to squeeze me in) to get some more pred.

I'm feeling really disheartened.I had a scan today at a different NHS hospital than the one on Tuesday and he measured me at 10.6mm today, same as Tuesday. The heartbeat was still there and normal but I feel worried that the size doesn't appear to have increased. His scanner is much less clear and fuzzy compared to the scan I had at Epu Wednesday and he dated me at 7w 2 days when I should be 7w 3days.
I actually got in such a tiz I called the doc when I got home and he tells me that when I was last in and scanned by him (22nd) he dated me at 6w exactly. So He is dating me at 7w 2d today then that would be right.
I asked him why the scan didn't appear to show an increase in size to the one I had at the Epu clinic Tuesday and he said it could be down to the baby moving or anything. He said I shouldn't be worried but now I am.
I regret going to Epu on Tuesday for a scan, as if I had just had the scan on 22nd with the doc I saw then and today i would be none the wiser.
Does anyone have any advice please?

My next scan is with shehata on 10th.
