New thread. Welcome back to all the regulars. Welcome to all the newbies - please come and join us if you are IVFing or thinking about. The regulars are a mine of information at this point!

Do you realise that this will take us through a year of egg buddy threads? I believe Karbea started the last one around Xmas time last year for those cycling in 2013 and I immediately jumped on it as I was about to start my first cycle in January. Blimey.

I think everyone feels like that, bugs. I put on about half a stone each round and I wasn't on most of the drugs! I think the drugs and what they do to your endocrine system, plus wanting to eat lots of protein and vitamins for the egg growing stage, plus being too tired/bloated/bruised from recent EC to exercise makes weight gain pretty inevitable. TBH I hated it but tried to put it out of my mind during the cycle itself. My view was that I was demanding a lot of my body through each cycle and putting it under a lot of stress, so on top of that I wasn't going to starve it of the calories it wanted. Does that make sense?

I have to say the extra poundage did make the BFNs harder though, because I felt that I had undone all my good gym work for nothing. But it came off soon enough.

Bunny that's great news! 4 embies now! Go little bunnies!

I agree with the weight gain thing. Ivf just does that to you, so don't worry. I like to think our fertile body needs a bit of flesh on it, that helps me through my fat feelings! Lol

My scan was a dildocam, yes!! It turned out the doctor was someone I'd seen before and he's lovely and really informative (unlike the other DR who has been scanning me) so it was a rather pleasant scan after all! Oh! And EC is Monday! Trigger tomorrow evening! Woohoo!

I feel really bad asking a question after thoughtfuls news but hoping the experienced IVfers can advise.

EC was yesterday, had a bit of bleeding yesterday, just had some browny discharge, is that normal?

thoughtful I'm so very sorry Flowers xxx

bunny yes it def normal. I have a lot if contact bleeding after I'm poked up the doofry so spot a fair bit

starsandmoonandback · 11/01/2014 09:25

Bunnie, yes. Spotting/light bleeding is normal after ec. If it's heavy bleeding then you should contact clinic or gp. How are you feeling about your embies?!

eurochick · 11/01/2014 09:30

EC is like minor surgery, bunny - you've had a big needle through the side of your vagina. So a little blood the next day is normal. Take it easy over the weekend and you should be fine in a day or two. x

Euro - this baby is due 3 years exactly to the day we started TTC. Weird hey?

starsandmoonandback · 11/01/2014 13:23

Did my last injections this morning (apart from the ovitrelle tonight) and they hurt like hell! Why on my last injections?? I had to take the syringe out of one leg and put in the other cos it was so painful! Ouch. I reckon my legs have just had enough and were protesting!! Trigger shot tonight...woohoo!
