Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

OV day today, first cycle weve been together on the right day but DP can't be arsed to DTD too busy channel hopping before he goes to work 'we'll just do it next month'
Aaaarrrrrgggghhhhhhhhhh! Why do they not get it, life must be so much easier being a man Angry

Sorry rant over just needed to get it out before I launch the remote at his head!

lil1ady · 21/12/2013 19:22

furry you totally have permission to launch the remote at him!

Lyns I think ur spot on. I wonder the same about my single friend

quark has it sunk in yet...and has Mr quark gotten over his hangover enough to enjoy it?

I'm feeling quite positive about 2014. my cbfm arrived today so could have something to do with it I've upped my vitamins, have lost 9lb in the last 6 weeks which I'll probably put back on over crimbo and have signed up for a healthy eating plan starting in January. Come on Bfp, you can't ellude me forever!

Nessalina · 21/12/2013 20:01

Good work lil! At least you lost it before Xmas - I'll just be adding to existing fat!
Ooh, I'd be raging Furry - cold shoulder time!! Angry
Yeah, we are lucky to have our DHs and DPs and be TTC when a lot our age are still searching for Mr Right. I have a friend who's 40 this year and single, and she really wants kids. She's thinking about doing it on her own if she can't find a man soon, but it must be so hard for her Sad

OP posts:
CosyTeaBags · 21/12/2013 22:33

Furry you could stare at him in a deranged way, and tell him that when your ERTD comes in 2 weeks time, it will be ALL HIS FAULT

That's what I did last month when DP was too asleep tired to DTD, and it didn't work at all....but it's worth a try!!!

FurryScoob · 21/12/2013 23:06

Thanks ladies its nice to know u get why I'm annoyed! I'm sure he'll have a few hangovers over Christmas that I can help him suffer with! Xmas Grin

Nessalina · 21/12/2013 23:46

To be honest I've always found the more pressure I put on DH the less keen he is... Time for the ninja seduction cape Furry! Seduce him like you're not just after his baby juice! Grin
Me & DH have our determined heads on, Xmas Eve is likely icing day, but we're both full of cold! Can't decide if we should try for a snotty shag tonite or see if we're feeling better tomorrow Shock Grin

Waggamamma · 22/12/2013 10:11

morning viriods! just three more sleeps til santa!

Good luck for new year bfp for everyone who has their capes on just now. DP and I have dtd everyday this week except tues despite headaches and snotty noses so it better psy off with a bfp Wink . I think I ov'd thurs or fri going by pains and ewcm. AF is due on 1st Jan so it's wait and see time, at least it's xmas and loads to distract me in the tww.

My friend is having drinks at her house tonight and I would love to go and see friends I haven't seen in a while. However they'll be two ladies there with babies under a month old and I'm just not sure if I can face it, if was still pg I'd be over 8 months by now, I can't decide if seeing those tiny babies will upset me. I know I can't avoid it forever...

Lynsey14 · 22/12/2013 11:23

Aw wagga that's a shame :-( I think you should still go and just keep a bit of distance!!

furry argh how frustrating! Though that's coming from me after politely declining DH this morning as I have a pounding headache. He got a bit miffed and went "oh a HEADACHE eh? That old chestnut?" .... I think sometimes I may be the man

CosyTeaBags · 22/12/2013 12:03

Oh Wagga I know how you must feel - but if they're good friends that you don't see often, don't let this stop you from going and catching up with them all

If you're close to them, perhaps you can tell them about your TTCing, they might offer a sympathetic ear.

I caught up with a friend and her utterly scrumptious 9 month old baby yesterday. I had a good squish of him, and she knows all about my TTC issues, so she was great.

The way I see it is - yes, they're lovely babies, and yes you want one yourself, but you don't want those particular ones they might even be ugly ones yours will be totally different, you're waiting for Your baby - so you can appreciate them from afar but not feel too connected with them IYSWIM

TBH I feel worse when confronted with pregnant women than I do with newborns - I just want what they're experiencing... Sad

OK,mope over, it's Christmas Viroids, 'Tis the season to drink Mulled wine and eat Brie till it comes out of our ears. Let's get childless 2013 out of the way, and look forward to 2014 where so many exciting things could happen....

Waggamamma · 22/12/2013 12:59

Thanks cosy and lynsey I'm going to go. It's not the ttc thing that bothers me so much, it's more about the baby I lost and how I expected our xmas to be about preparing for their arrival in Jan. Just a bit close to home we were pg at the same time, they have their babies but I won't have mine.

Anyway, time to drink wine and be jolly Smile .

CosyTeaBags · 22/12/2013 13:22

(((Hugs Wagga)))

You're a brave lady. Your friends will understand and hopefully it will be much nicer than you envisage.

If it gets too much, just remove yourself from the babies and focus on something else (the wine...!) and tell yourself you're doing a brave thing. Is there someone else going that understands what you're going through that you can escape with for a breather?

Lynsey14 · 22/12/2013 16:10

Let's all have some lovely alcohol and remind ourselves it's the main thing we have up on the gals who are PG ;-)

cookielove · 22/12/2013 18:20

Happy Christmas every body :)

thelentil · 22/12/2013 20:14

I for one will be prancing around the kitchen like a loon with my mum for the next two days. so just want to wish you all a fantastic Christmas. we may not have all got our Christmas bfps yet?! but hopefully Santa will bring you all something nice. Merry Christmas you amazing ladies xx

Bearfacedchic · 23/12/2013 05:55

Thanks Wagga and Lentil.

Stay positive Lil. We're all rooting for you!

Ok Shaggers, so I'm going to need a massive Hooya, preferably

Bearfacedchic · 23/12/2013 06:14

Hadn't finished!!!!

As I was saying, preferably one which knocks me out please! I'm in the darkest recesses of the symptom spotting cave here. I'm wide awake and have been for an hour and a half. Went to bed normal time. I'm always shattered and never wake up, so I am confused! obviously this has required extensive Internet research into early pregnancy symptoms So, there's more . . .

I woke up yesterday at my mum's house feeling a bit off colour, which is not unusual in itself, but have felt sick on and off since then. I'm also much warmer than usual. I'm normally freezing and last night was cold but woke up outside the covers and was hot before bed even when heating had gone off. Then there's the crankiness and bloating in the lady area. I feel like I'm icing but this happened last week I'm sure ok so was maybe using contraband: told you a Hooya was needed it feels all stretchy like I'm getting Ertd. I also passed the tiniest specks of blood clot (sorry if tmi). I've totally been expecting bleeding from an anovulatory cycle which I've had before but zilcho. I keep thinking maybe I have a bug, and probably have but usually if I have a bug I'm properly sick, not generally feeling sick. Oh and I had a weird dream too. Ok so not the greatest preggo sign, but still odd. And clutches a massive handful of straws when I visited my bro's house the dog kept trying to sniff my lady region. Blush

So, hit me with it! Hooya most definitely needed especially as I'm possibly around 7dpo. But it's all a bit weird dontcha think? Or I've got a bug. . . Only time will tell.

Going to try to get back to sleep now, although wondering if there's any point. Wish me luck! Sorry for the epic post and merry Christmas!

Bearfacedchic · 23/12/2013 06:17

Crankiness in the lady region?! Grin I meant crampiness! Crankiness down there is just business as usual methinks. Grin

1974rach · 23/12/2013 07:48

Hoooya!

Im not sure you really deserve one but you askedGrin

I love crankiness in the lady region made me laugh which made me cough up a lung.....oh yes ladies tis Christmas and I have man flu. Oh well.

Of to tesco. pass the gin.

cookielove · 23/12/2013 09:54

Oh no Bear you don't need a hooya, you need a squeeeee!!

Oh i am glad you get to have a good time wagga

fifi669 · 23/12/2013 10:25

Cautiously optimistic for bear........

juniper81 · 23/12/2013 12:18

Hey lads,

Today I asked DP what he'd like for xmas (yes, I am lastminute.com) and he said he wanted an xmas baby Sad

I can't get one of them at the bloody shops can I?! New cycle just started and not feeling positive, need a hooya for that I think.

Best of luck bear.

wagga I found once the due date had passed it got a bit easier. Pregnant women still make me. a bitConfused cos I don't know the normal questions to ask and I am also not at all interested in their gender preference or how far along they are. Big hugs to you. Thanks

Off for more shopping, I am usually so much more organised.

CosyTeaBags · 23/12/2013 17:02

Mini Hooya for Bear Symptom spotting is a new form of hell isn't it.

I'm in the full throes of JSing for a Crimbo conception - keep believing it might just happen this time, but then I tell myself off for getting my hopes up. Made the mistake of discussing what 'our' child might be like with DP last night. He said lots of lovely things which made me wobble.

However Viroids I have discovered something today which might just make it worthwhile not being upduffed at christmas time - Chocolate Red Wine. Anyone heard of it? I MUST try it, going to buy some tomorrow...

Happy Christmas everyone, I hope you all manage to have a lovely time xx
