Planning ahead for Christmas! December bus starting far too early...

Hi All,

Anyone else around for the Dec bus yet? I think AF has managed to kick me off Nov already as she has arrived a few days early, and my cycle will probably mean she is next due at the beginning of Dec rather than Nov.

So does anyone else want to climb on board and help me hang tinsel and drink mulled wine to while away the time until that bfp in Dec?

Congratulations Twerking! That's brilliant news!

I'm off this bus unfortunately...

It's ridiculous - it's the first cycle that we've properly "tried"; I know the stats; I know that I need to lose a lot of weight to optimise our chances; I know that DH drinking like a fish ain't going to be helping things; I know that there is absolutely no reason AT ALL to even BEGIN to think that not conceiving in a first cycle is anything other than normal. I've worked in the field for years, I know that, at the moment, our chances are not optimised. I know that it is going to take some time.

So why am I feeling a bit disappointed?

Sorry for rambling......

lucyfluff · 02/12/2013 17:48

Im sure I can trryyy and convince you not to poas munday Wink be warned...im a bad influence and have ic's sat here waiting mwhahaha!!!!

....and where are all the possible bfps??? we have a few on the list due!!! come on ladies Grin

MissingBun · 02/12/2013 17:48

Congratulations twerk very exciting the start of the Xmas bfps!!

Chin up fourfox cycle 1 so early days don't be too hard on yourself!! Just keep trying and look after yourself Xmas Smile

I know how you feel I have been side lined from ttc due to a bad back so not even able to dtd at the mo, still can't help the disappointment in waiting though x x

barmybunting · 02/12/2013 18:05

Sorry to hear that AF has kicked you off ohfourfoxache! I know what you mean, despite the stats, we still hope! It is human nature and sometimes it is rubbish! Best of luck for your next cycle.

I have to admit I caved this afternoon ladies and POAS. Big surprise, BFN of course! Given I am somewhere between 9dpo and 12dpo, that isn't a surprise but AF was due today based on my last 2 cycles so who knows. I am feeling slightly less antsy having POAS now, the curiosity is abated for at least a few hours. I am thinking I am now not fussed enough to POAS tomorrow, but I can't promise that will be the same in the morning! I was actually just thinking that when we come off the pill, it would be handy if some magic system somewhere posted tests to us for a few months just to take away some of the desperate urge to POAS 'just in case' but then realised it is just because I am impatient.

Ok so I'm officially about a day late... AF due between the 1st - end of the weekish I reckon, from my usual cycles I'm only ever a day or two out! I've got my BFP down for end of dec/new year on here cos I never thought I'd catch on this quickly... I'm really trying not to get my hopes up and am determined to wait until Friday to POAS but it's killing me!!! Got a couple of IC but wasted one already last week so am trying to be strong this time. I'm going to be so disappointed if the witch rears her ugly head tomorrow morning!!

ohfourfoxache · 02/12/2013 18:06

Thanks Missing - I think I've surprised myself by how excited I was getting - just hard to keep a lid on it! Smile I stupidly let myself get my hopes up.

Actually, what has REALLY shocked me is that DH is disappointed (probably sick of all the extra shagging already!) Wink

What on earth have you done to your back? If you've hurt anywhere else DTD is manageable, but with your back there isn't a single position you can get away with without pain Sad (fellow sufferer here, and that was before I fractured my spine not a result of DTD btw ) Wink xx

ohfourfoxache · 02/12/2013 18:13

Barmy (((hugs))) thank you! You're right, a magic system would be SO MUCH EASIER - I can't believe what a killer the curiosity factor is. But well done for not caving sooner - that's pretty good going Wink

Wishing you luck -and strength in staying away from the sticks - mammabear Smile

MissingBun · 02/12/2013 18:46

fox That's really sweet that dh was disappointed, shows he really wants it too!

I have a back injury from an accident 15 years ago, it just flares up every few years. Annoying timing as we had 1 month ttc and now just waiting nearly 2 months later. Lovely seeing all the bfps for everyone else though and FX for yours as a new year present Grin

Polkadot1 · 02/12/2013 18:56

Hello ladies! Congrats to the bfp's, and sorry to those AF got. I'm 13dpo, and quite chilled. No symptoms- except some palpitations last night (which was the first symptom I had when pregnant with DS), but I was at work and stressed, so could be that. Also no PMS so far (usually get bit irritable/ few abdo cramps) but there's time yet. I won't get too excited until 17dpo, as that's when I had a bfp with DS. So several days for AF to spoil things!

LittleOwlie · 02/12/2013 19:14

Hi Polkadot,

Ooooh palpitations. I didn't know they were a possible PG symptom. I've been getting those this afternoon...I thought they were a bit of a different feeling. I'm only 7/8 DPO and they are very slight. I get the same thing from decongestant tablets, but obviously as I haven't taken any I thought it weird.

Good luck to you and fx. Smile

mammabear4 · 02/12/2013 19:22

Thanks fox sorry to hear about AF, I think I need to ready myself for major disappointment as I'm far too excited and hopeful ATM :/
Love reading about all the symptoms, good luck everyone and stay positive!!

mssleepyhead · 02/12/2013 19:29

fox - i couldn't believe how disappointed last month (also my first month ttc). i wonder if the first month is the hardest, because even though everyone says "it takes months", you don't really believe it, and then, oh yeah, it takes months...

this month is month 2 for me and i feel a bit calmer, but then i'm not quite in my 2ww yet. i'm sure the imaginary symptoms and day dreams of a positive test for christmas will kick in soon enough!

Missvaughan85 · 02/12/2013 19:33

So there are quite a few of us in the just a couple of days until af/bfp boat, on symptom spotting so far is lower abdo pinching pains, and to start with, bad breath, which I'm told by DH that I never have. Brush twice a day. It's now turned into a constant funny taste in my mouth!! Strange, boobs are hurting when I take my bra off. Need to stop the symptom spotting!!! I'm not going to poas until either af arrives Thursday or to then poas stick Friday. But I'm wondering whether af will play tricks on me again this month x x

TwerkingNineToFive · 02/12/2013 19:52

Thanks for the congratulations. It's great to be able to tell people when I can't in RL. No symtoms yet so I feel fab.
Good luck to everyone else. Lets hope its the start of a Christmassy lucky bus.

DaisyDoo44 · 02/12/2013 20:39

I'm off the bus folks. Good luck y'all.

Polkadot1 · 02/12/2013 20:41

Thanks littleowlie fx you too x I know what you mean MV85 AF can be very deceptive! I'm suprised how preggers PMT can make you feel! Having only had DS 13 months ago, I would've thought I could spit the difference! But clearly not the last few months when I've been convinced I had symptoms! Hence not getting excited this time. If BFP- awesome! If BFN- bring in the Xmas parties and baileys!!!!

Polkadot1 · 02/12/2013 20:42

Spot not spit!!!!

mammabear4 · 02/12/2013 21:16

Ladies - I have absolutely zero willpower and just did a test - BFN :(
Gutted and think I need to give up hope now and prepare for the onslaught of stupid AF.
Bring on a new year's BFP!

ohfourfoxache · 02/12/2013 21:29

Oh mammabear (((((hugs)))))

thought of offering Brew, but will actually offer Wine and Cake

TanwyddRocket · 02/12/2013 21:30

BFN for us again this month Hmm

Keep trying, maybe Father Christmas will bring me a BFP?!

Very disappointed Sad

ohfourfoxache · 02/12/2013 21:35

Extends offer of Wine and Cake

LemonDrizzler · 02/12/2013 23:46

Hello ladies. I am freaking out a bit here and hope you can help. Confused I have just started bleeding but AF not due for over a week. Does anyone know how much bleeding there is for implantation bleeding? It seems like a lot - not just spotting. And if this is AF what is going on?! The last one only finished 2 weeks ago! Hmm Sorry for the misery post but any advice greatly appreciated!

BeigeBuffet · 03/12/2013 00:25

Hi Lemon, are you coming off any contraception because this has happened to me. When I came off the pill I had a period, two weeks later another, then three weeks after that, another one. I've started taking 100mg vitamin b6 every weekday and that seems to be lengthening this cycle out.

LemonDrizzler · 03/12/2013 00:30

Thanks Beige. I have been off the pill 3 years now and been regular since then 25-28 days. This would make this an 18 day cycle. So odd. Perhaps this is my body's way of getting out of the 2ww! ;)

BeigeBuffet · 03/12/2013 00:54

That is strange then, maybe you should check in with your gp? Is it brown blood or is it red blood? The former could (if it's spotting/light period) be implantation.
