Planning ahead for Christmas! December bus starting far too early...

Hi All,

Anyone else around for the Dec bus yet? I think AF has managed to kick me off Nov already as she has arrived a few days early, and my cycle will probably mean she is next due at the beginning of Dec rather than Nov.

So does anyone else want to climb on board and help me hang tinsel and drink mulled wine to while away the time until that bfp in Dec?

I'm trying very hard not to convince myself that I need to test tomorrow or Tuesday. Originally, I thought AF was due yesterday, but I ovulated sometime between Thurs 21st & Sun 24th as far as I can work out, so I guessed AF was due sometime later this week. On Friday, I had random spotting of dark, old blood (Sorry!) but only a tiny amount, but I thought that was AF on her way. Absolutely nothing since though. I have been feeling randomly dizzy since Friday as well. No signs of AF, but some severe symptom spotting going on in my head though! I think I'm about 8-11dpo just now, and AF normally arrives around 10dpo...

Stupid symptom spotting! I wish there was a quicker way to just know. It would be much easier to just get on with it if you knew within a day or two. This 2ww takes forever!

Barmy tell me about it! When do you think you might test? You sound like it won't be too far in the distant future...!

I'm not due AF til 9th Dec (Mon) but my parents are coming to visit at the weekend so think I'd like to know either way beforehand.

OK this is going to be a bit TMI but literally just after my last post I went to the loo and I have definite spotting. I have never, ever, ever had spotting before. Weird. [tchconfused] I am 7dpo I think judging by CM.

Feels a bit strange telling random internet people that but I just needed to share.

DichotoMous if I'm honest, if I had some ICs sitting around, I would be POAS just now! I purposely don't have any ICs around though, so I'm trying to hold off. I'm very tempted to try tomorrow but having looked at it sensibly, AF is probably only due mid week so tomorrow is a bit early probably. I was determined not to test until 6th Dec (Fri) but that random spotting last Fri, topped off with this dizziness has got me very hopeful so I'm now thinking I will end up testing earlier.

I know what you mean about wanting to know. Are you hoping to tell your parents next weekend if the bfp shows up in time? When do you think you will test or are you trying to hold off?

I'm off work tomorrow & Tues which makes not thinking about it a lot harder, and really want to know before next weekend as it'd be my last chance to tell my parents before they leave to go away for 8 weeks over Christmas. I just want to know either way at this stage!

But this is only cycle 5 off the pill for me, and my cycles have been all over the place since then. The last 3 lps have been 10 days, and my cycles have been getting shorter to around 34 days, which is tomorrow.

I'm going to hold off tomorrow if I can, and hope AF doesn't turn up and then POAS on Tues I think. I'm not sure I can hold off any longer. Next weekend would be more sensible, but sense goes out the window in this process I find.

Barmy that is so true - I am normally such a normal person! I think Tues sounds like a sensible date for you to POAS, going by what you've said - you will be 'late'-ish and then you only have one day of not being at work to get yourself through!

I had sort of thought about testing on the Fri so I could have a bit of a mental break over the weekend and concentrate on something else for a couple of days. Otherwise I won't be able to test until Mon afternoon or Tues AM using FMU (I think it would be a bit weird to POAS with my parents in the house!).

Bar my in the same, five months off pill, last 2 cycles have be long for me, 1 week late, then 2 weeks late. Then its month orangey pink cm last Monday and then twitchy pains in lower abdomen. Which I've never had before. So I'm hoping this is a lucky month. X x x

Look what I've just discovered [tchgrin] Nothing else to report here. Approx 2dpo so in the 2ww now. Didn't DTD on O day but did the 2 days before so hoping for a Christmas miracle.

Dichoto Next Friday sounds like a plan for you, lets you check but still have the back up plan for later in the weekend if it's too early to show. Fingers crossed for you! And I totally get what you mean about POAS with your parents in the house, just a tad off putting! This process feels like madness. I'm glad it's not just me.

Tuesday it is for me I think. It seems more sensible, I won't be able to hold out until next weekend and I don't want to POAS on a work day (don't know why!) so Tuesday it is. Fingers crossed AF doesn't show up!

Missvaughan that is sounding hopeful! Are you holding out until AF is late to test? I think you are 5th Dec, is that right? Were your other 3 cycles normal before these 2 longer ones? Good luck!

My 2nd cycle was 52 days long, but the next 2 were 36 & 34 each with spotting before hand, I'm cd33 today so fingers crossed it is a bfp and not just more silly cycle changes! I'm not 100% sure when AF is due as I didn't temp this month, wanted to take it a bit less obsessively but I wish I had now!

Ok ladies I think full flow may have finally arrived so I'm sort off off the bus but only til end of dec...

Barmy, I stopped pill at week break. Had period like I normally would then next af 28days, then another 28 then the next 2 were longer than normal, the last one at 2 weeks late was the worst. Terrible backache from mid way through cycle. Went to te doctors at one week late, he wasn't concerned. Told me to test again in a week. But then af came. Yeh af is due 5/6 that is what app is telling me. And my cycles are normally 28 days. I can time af to the hour usually. I was only on bc for 6 months. I can't believe I've had this much trouble with it!! Worst thing is the hair in my face has come back with a vengeance!!! I might test Thursday. Don't want to get my hopes up though x x

Thanks babyspice. Not feeling hopeful here. I've been feeling a bit out of sorts ttc this month. Feeling obsessed with it then feeling a bit like I can't be bothered and is it the right time.
On a brighter note, that bit closer to finishing the Christmas shopping!!! I've got one that's hard to buy for. My DH dad's wife. She's Thai, and hard to know what to buy for her!!!

I was on the November bus but got a BFN on the day I was due on (28th of November). Tested again yesterday when AF had not arrived and again BFN then this morning I looked at it again, it was left out on the windowsill, and there was the faintest line in the world. So I tested again and in really bright light there is a tiny faint line. Not sure if its evaporation lines or its an early possitive so I'm going to test again tomorrow.
So BFP due 2nd of Dec.

Missvaughan I know what you mean about ups and down in this ttc business. What a pain to have such an influence on your cycles from 6 months of the pill! I'd been on it for about eight years but am still annoyed!

Thanks tweaking, but she isn't that type. She's into beer and whiskey, wears men's cologne, She described my wedding in June to one of her friends as casual. I wore a ivory lace dress, every one was in Suits, apart from her, she wore white jeans, a black vest top and rain coat!! She is unconventional in every sense!!! Lol sorry for rant!!
Barony it's amazing isn't it how much of an effect something so small can have in your health!! I've just been for a bath, but it was in the cool side because I was worried that if there is a little bean in there I didn't want the water to be too hot!!! I am now officially crazy!!

I was due AF on 30/11 but she still hasn't arrived. Got a BFN yesterday but didn't test today as received some really bad news last night and was helping family out so a bit preoccupied. I'm hoping tomorrow brings some joy, although I'm not exactly confident with the crampy feelings I've been getting for the past few days. It kind of feels like AF but different...? It's so confusing coming off BC - my body is so different now.

af finally buggered off congrats to the bfps :) for the stats think my bfp is due 21stish normally have 28 day cycle but had 27 day and can't remember before that. Add in post baby and cerazette equals??
