Planning ahead for Christmas! December bus starting far too early...

Hi All,

Anyone else around for the Dec bus yet? I think AF has managed to kick me off Nov already as she has arrived a few days early, and my cycle will probably mean she is next due at the beginning of Dec rather than Nov.

So does anyone else want to climb on board and help me hang tinsel and drink mulled wine to while away the time until that bfp in Dec?

Is I just me that's bugged by the first response advert banner? PREGNANT? No, Thanks for reminding me! ha

Although I am getting hope from the BFPs already!

Bex it'll be a bit early but if you can't wait then go for it, you may just get your result. I'm going to hold off if I can. But I have internet cheapo sticks so generally test on those til positive and then bust out a more expensive plastic one.

Woodwaj, have you noticed lots of pregnancy/newborn/children related things around you since you started ttc? Obviously they've been there before, but every time I'm in a queue or whatever it seems a pregnant lady needs to get past, rubbing her bump into my back as if to say 'ner ner you want a belly like mine?' Hehe

Ha punky I have invested in some fabulous IC sticks, I just can't wait to get dunking. I've also bought some frer tests, and I'm going to get a cb digi - only 1, so when I'm absolutely sure I'm pg, I will do the digi just to see it in writing. It's oh so exciting!! I will try to hold off, but I'm not sure I can. Are there usually others testing on Fridays, did I read somewhere about poas parties??

Oh yes Bex, they are everywhere, One of the main things is spotting work people in the supermarket when your trying to buy vitamins or tests! I have to do a quick twirl to the cold and flu meds!!

Oh lord I'm constantly looking over my shoulder. I probably look a right weirdo! So I've taken to amazon, it's my red face saviour. I'm a bit wary about buying pg tests online though... Don't they say you need to buy them from somewhere with a good stock rotation?? Otherwise I might have to drive for 50 miles just to be sure I don't know anyone

Yes woodwaj! I'm always totally paranoid that I'm gonna see someone I know in the medicine aisle when I'm getting conception vits or tests. I'm in and out of there like a ninja!

Thanks Bex :) I'm itching to test but trying to hold off to avoid disappointment so waiting until at least Saturday morning when AF is due. I've got an order of 25 cheapo tests coming soon. Let's see if I can resist temptation when they arrive!

I can imagine the stock rotation isnt so bad a lot of people use them on here just look for a top rated seller maybe?

My trick in Tescos is to pick something up first so I can hide my things under it! Bet thats Tescos plan all along!!!

Thanks woodwaj, I am just looking at ones that are sold directly by amazon at the mo - pack of 2 cb digitalis are £10.90 so thinking that's worth getting as they're much more expensive in shops. I will give them a go this month. Got nothing to lose and possibly a bfp to gain!!

Ok ladies help me as I am confused. I am using the clear blue opk and I got my first smiley flashy face on Saturday so according to the packet I have two days of those as high fertility and then 2 days of peak except it's now Monday and I am still on high and not peak. So I am now confused I thought you could only be fertile for 2 days ?!
You would think that I am ttc #2 I would know this but with DS we did it once and got pregnant straight away so am totally confused by it all this time!
Oh and congrats on all the BFP so far!!!

It's so, that's a fab Monday morning bit of news!!!! Congratulations!!!! Well I think today or tomorrow is officially the start of my 2ww. Bit unsure as app is telling me af is due 5th dec which means lp is short, 10 days. Well I think that's short, so hopefully it'll stick!!

I googled a bit more Cherie , thanks for the info. The 4/5 days previous to Ov makes sense. I am definitely thinking I O'd a bit earlier than 'supposed' to as this morning (day before O according to all sorts of calendars and apps) EWCM is less and CP is lower.

That would potentially make today (CD16) 1dpo ? AF not due until 10/12 if this is a regular 30 day cycle.

Makes me wonder if I've been slightly off before..

I've jumped onto the December bus after a hiatus from the Novemeber bus.
I'm finally living in Amsterdam with my husband after 2 weeks apart and ready to get back on the TTC journey. Feeling positive... For now.
So my stats are
TTC #1 cycle3 (technically 4, but we're living in different countries for cycle 3) BFP dec23

Hey ladies I'm gona be lying low for a bit as I'm determined not to think about ttc this month! Please feel free to go over and party on at mama's house on the Friday party thread when you are all testing!!!! I will pop in to see who's got BFP's but please if I'm not around do host the parties yourselves and carry on the tradition!! I won't be too far away and will be in and out to see who the lucky ladies are this month!

Just feel I need to remove myself mentally from it all for a short while....but I will be back very soon ;)
